Ambiance Wine & Hookah Lounge

Let me start off by saying that I love hookah and I have been to every place on the Island so far. My go to spot was 1001 but i think it has changed tonight at Ambiance.
The atmosphere is much more mature compared to most other places on the Island. There is no obnoxiously loud music, no drunk underage kids, the food is freshly made none of that microwawed stuff, staff genuinely does care about your experienxe, and to top this of their hookah is amazing!
I honestly have enjoyed visiting this placd tonight and was surprised to see that the experience was on par with some places in the city. If you are looking for something to do on a slow weekday night this is the place to go to.

Great unique idea for a hookah lounge. The vodka a la penne with chicken was very good and served as a good base for my hookah. I enjoyed a beer and a very smooth hookah. This is a must try for a chill night out or a date night wit cha Beau.

I would have to say if you’re craving a quiet date night but don’t want to be home, this is the place to be. The biggest downfall is what makes it great: no one is there. Last weekend, my BF and I were 1 of 3 couples in the entire place. It’s smaller than 1001 nights, but the food & service are WAY better.
My BF got chicken penne vodka & I got the chicken Caesar salad. Both had fresh chicken & cheese. The food was great. We ended the night with fried Oreos which came with a small glass of milkshake for dunking. Def a great way to end the night.
As they have a FULL BAR, my BF and I both hot ambiance margaritas which were amazing! Def a required taste, as this margarita comes with a twist: red wine layered on top.
The hookah choices are limited which I guess is where the line is drawn between 1001. And the ice hose was not nearly cold enough, but it’s $ 3 instead of $ 5– like 1001 charges. However, special flavor a are 18 instead of 16– so ultimately the hookah costs the same at either place.
Final words. Food & ambiance is better at ambiance if you’re looking for a quiet date night, or chill place to catch up with friends. Hookah could use some work, but if only one of you smokes then it’s fine anyway.

A little bit of paradise tucked away on Staten Island. Although at first glance a typical hookah lounge may turn one off, but at Ambiance this is not the case. They have an excellent wine selection and an even more impressive kitchen. Everything that I have eaten here is top notch. With fresh ingredients and elegant presentation, I was truly impressed. Although new, the lounge is constantly improving on itself, and I look forward to the coming months and years as they continue to grow.
I highly recommend their flank steak, penne ala vodka, and mozzarella en carozza. Truly too notch, though I guarantee you will be satisfied with everything.
With that being said, the hookah here is delightful, mellow and tastefully served. It is not your typical Staten Island hookah lounge filled with underage obnoxious kids. This is a place to relax and enjoy an evening with friends or your significant other without some tween screaming in your ear. I truly look forward to returning in the near future.

Nice place! Food was good and the customer service was on point! Our server Mike was great and the owner Zahin was very attentive and inviting. We’ll definitely be back. The only thing I would suggest is maybe more restrooms or a separate male female restroom and maybe more options on the menu? Nothing that will damper the 5 stars :)

Picture the perfect corner with the ideal lighting and a nice glass of Pinot Noir after work. Now add the fruity, earthy scents of your favorite hookah lounge and you’ve got Ambiance. This small venue manages to carve out an intimate niche from your otherwise busy day while providing enough potential for social interaction to kick it up a notch, if that’s your thing. A well balanced wine selection paired with a tasty tapas style menu allows you to eat small portions with large variety, just how I prefer it. Service was excellent and detail oriented and hookah was delicious. Perfect for a date or a social event. Will be returning soon for sure.

this place is excellent in every way and form the food is great! if you go you have to try the fried Oreos. The staff there is super friendly the owner even came out introduced himself and introduced himself when me and my wife were there. it has a very nice setting we smoked hooka over candle light it’s really a clean place absolutely loved it and coming back again

Came here with a friend, awesome place, the staff is so friendly and warm. The atmosphere is great. Very professional and owner definitely us doing such a great job. I would definitely recommend!

I’ve gone here with my girlfriend, friends, and even alone. This is a great place for dinner and drinks (the food is AMAZING) or a relaxing time alone or with friends. The staff is so polite and efficient and what impresses me most is the fact that everyone there wants to make sure you’re having a great time. Hookahs are great and they have a good selection of drinks. My new favorite spot on the island.

Ambiance is hands down one of the best places on the island for a date night, or if you just feel like a relaxed evening with some friends. They have best wine selections, and the appetizers are amazing!

Good hookah, good wine, good ambiance. If you live in Staten Island this is a go to spot. This was my first time visiting this establishment but it won’t be my last. The owner def knows what he’s doing!

I was very pleased with how unique the environment is. The owners personally welcomed me when I arrived and took the time to ask how my experience was when I left. It feels very cozy and intimate, and the music adds a soft yet upbeat vibe. I had the berry hookah with ice hose, which I very highly recommend! Everyone raves about the food with recommended wine pairing so I will have to try it next time. Thanks for the excellent service!

I absolutely loved this place! I went with a couple of friends the other night and by far totally different than all that Staten Island has to offer. The vibe is unique from other hookah bars. Dim lights and the music was background noise not overpowering at all, which is a plus. The hookah was great too! It was smooth and the workers came out to switch the coal often and were very accommodating, not to mention respectful and really nice! A main selling point to this lounge is the food menu which includes tapas and desserts. I had penne vodka and the calamari. They have a wide selection! The food was outstanding! I spoke with the owners who were extremely welcoming. They informed me that everything is made from scratch. Very fresh tasting. This is the perfect date night spot or a good place to catch up with friends. Highly recommended!
