Eat here if you must, but if you have the time, walk across the street to eat at the BuenaVista café on the lot. This is the same food vendor as that location, Dreamworks, Pixar, and a college campuses and it is the worst example of food being provided by Bön Appetit. The food is subpar — why is the cooked broccoli brown? The service is terrible — I asked for here and why are you fighting with me to put the food in a to go box? And they unappologetically over charge you — why is my meal more than that of my the person in front of me who got exactly the same thing? Honestly, it’s probably not the vendor’s fault. The cafeteria has gone through several of them, but the attitude of the people working there.

If you must eat here. Go to the deli and get yourself a sandwich. You’ll be glad that you didn’t get an entrée.

Meh — id only eat here if I were in a serious rush. Everytime I go here I feel like im being ripped off; pretty sure they charge like 25% tax on the food too. The ABC commissary has gone through several iterations where they would change the food style or some décor here or there but I feel like each time they change it, it gets worse. Service is slow and the food is very forgettable. They pride themselves on «sustainable food» but unfortunately, producing great tasting food isnt at the top of their list. The only thing that has been consistent is the sandwich section, which is the absolute only thing I would come here for. The Chili they normally served here called«Walt’s Chili» used to be amazing. Now it just sucks really fricken bad — you cant keep calling it «Walt’s Chili» if you decide to obliterate the recipe several different times… Id rather leave the campus then to eat here. The end.

So I’ve really tried almost everything here. The food is decent. There’s the usual deli section and salad bar that doesn’t change, and then the specialty sections [burger station, make-your-own station, entrees station] that vary depending on what day you go. They usually go with a certain theme. So if its Thai day, they’ll have a «make your own pad thai» section, as well as some other thai dishes to choose from. If its Indian day, they might have«make your own tandoori stir fry» or tandoori beef/chicken skewers. There’s tons of drinks to choose from, as well as pre-made sushi selections. My favorite sushi choices is either the spicy shrimp or the salmon avocado roll. Sometimes they’ll have special events: on pirates of the caribbean opening week, everything was pirate themed, even the employees dressed up. On 4th of july, everything was moved outside for a BBQ selection. One of my favorite days was when they had a huge selection of dimsum items. Overall, the meals are generally well balanced. No matter what the«theme» of the day is, there’ll always be a good portion of protein [meat], carbs [rice, potatoes, mac n cheese], and veggies. However, nothing here really stands out as amazing food. I really only come here because of convenience since I can just walk a few steps from the sorcerer’s hat and BAM there’s my lunch.

The food is ok but over priced for what you get and the prices seem to be going up. The Breakfast Burrito is always a winner… around $ 3.50. The biskets and gravy will keep you full all day long! It is really hit or miss and there is room for improvement. I bring my lunch more than I eat here.
