Only thing that sucks is parking but if you been coming here for a while, you just say«screw it» and drive over the curb. I’ve been coming here for years with my dad and just absolutely love this place. It’s easy to find stuff instead of walking inside walking for about a mile in a Home Depot, Menards or Lowe’s. Stuff here is well priced and they will have everything you need. I went there over the weekend to find tools needed to put up stuff for a bunch of shadow boxes I’ve been wanting to do. The staff there is fun and the cashier Haley is super sweet. She’s very professional with customer service and made sure I was satisfied with my purchase before leaving.

No matter what it is we need — homeowner repair, lawn, garden, electrical — our local Duke’s has the answers OR can/will find the source to help — and have materials needed. Absolutely the go-to store for anything around the home, office or business. We’ve shopped Dukes back to the 70’s and keep going back so that local businesses like this can thrive against big box stores who cannot compete with such outstanding customer service!

I love my local Ace store. They can’t match price, but for customer service no one can come close. Even the kids that work there are possessed of a good amount of knowledge, but if you need actual directions on how to do something/anything, there’s always someone around that has that knowledge, and will devote considerable time explaining it to you. And, they seem to have everything. They do all sorts of services as well, including cutting glass, mounting screens, etc, etc, etc. I’ve also been seeing the same manager(owner?) for ages, and he is always helpful and friendly. I’ve been to some other Ace’s, not all are as good as this one. Local business for the win!

Did you know that they have more screws and bolts here then Home Depot?! No joke, we needed a replacement screw for a piece of furniture and our first instinct was to go to a big home improvement store. Two young guys who we asked for help at Home Depot just pointed us to the aisle where all the screws were. We showed them the screw and they just said to see what was in those aisles. A customer saw the confusion on our faces and advised us to go to Ace if we were looking for a specialty screw, big home improvement stores he said he goes to when he needs basic screws in bulk… specialty ones he goes to Ace for. Ace is pretty close to our house, but we didn’t think to even try going there. Sure enough, they had the screw… and helpful staff who took one look at the screw and knew exactly what we needed! We have been coming here ever since and only going to Home Depot/Menards when Ace does not have something we need. Stores like Home Depot certainly have a larger selection, but there is something so comforting in walking to a neighborhood hardware store. The kind old men who work there have worked there for years, they know you by name and they treat each other like family. Just a great local feel to this great little hardware store. Don’t let the outside of this place fool you either. Not that it looks tiny by any means, but you wouldn’t think they have everything from paint to locksmiths to a bill payment center in there. The layout is very well thought out and they will have 70% of everything you need from a home improvement store.
