Went looking for my wedding dress and it was my first time looking, so I was super excited. Immediately when I check in, I was greeted(by Pat) with attitude and told to wait; even though I had an appointment. I thought I caught her at a bad moment, but I saw this attitude greet several other brides-to-be while I was waiting. After waiting by the check-in counter for 20 minutes, I decided to walk to a mannequin behind the hostess and she pretty much had a fit saying I couldn’t leave the counter or go out of her sight. I told her I was just walking to the mannequin 3. feet behind her and she said she couldn’t see me there; I held my tongue and went back to the counter. 30 minutes of waiting and then my family and I were told we could walk around the store and they’d send someone to find us when they were available. Totally started off the appointment on the wrong foot. Not too long after searching the aisles, we were helped by Marlee. She was wonderful! She explained that they had booked several appointments and did not schedule enough employees so she would be helping us with a few other parties as well. It did stink a little not having her full attention for the appointment but we could tell that she was busting her butt to satisfy all the parties she was working with. I felt bad having her pull more dresses from the floor. Eventually I found the dress but I wish I had better service at the beginning.

Unfortunately this store completely disappointed me. The store was understaffed when my bridal party and I went. They had one person assisting 3 different brides. I was asked what my budget was and sadly, the sales person(I would rather not mention her name) showed me a dress 2 xs over my budget. Of course I fell in love with it but couldn’t take it at the time. Disappointed on the service/timing and selection. Ended up going to DB in Northridge and got a nicer dress for about $ 250 less!

Well after having such a fantastic experience the first time, it pains me to have to write a bad review. My sisters wedding was last year in May so I’m a little late on the update, but I felt it needed to be done. Anthony still is AMAZING and great, he was the best part about our first trip there. My sister, Mother and myself went back after we had booked an appt with Anthony for our(mom and me) bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses. Well when we went in for the appt, just so happens Anthony wasn’t working that day… when he had scheduled us himself for when he would absolutely be there. No phone call to let us know he was no longer available, and no real reason as to why this happened. Frustrated but not trying to cause a scene, we went along with the girl who was chosen to help us. She was sweet, and I don’t remember her name but this chick had NO idea what she was doing. She looked like she hadn’t slept in 3 days, makeup and hair was a mess, and seemed nervous or anxious the whole time. Just wasn’t a pleasant experience and the only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the dress was fairly priced and very gorgeous on my sister. Then again, we pulled it off the Clearance rack and it just so happened to work. Customer service needs a lot of help.

If I could give this place a negative 100, I WOULD! I can say that pretty much every single thing went wrong because of them from start to finish, which is why this will probably be one long post 1) As we(my 5 bridesmaids and I) walked in, the lady said we need an appointment to try on dresses. I told her that I don’t need any help from the stylists and that we wanted to look around and see if we liked anything, but she said that it is their policy. I said that’s fine and she put me on a waiting list claiming it would only be 15 minutes. After 20 minutes I kept asking them how much longer it would be and they kept saying«5 minutes» until about 45 min later I was called in. In the mean time we practically picked up every purple dress in the store which is the color we wanted. 2) The stylist(I WISH I could remember her name) said«What are you looking for» and I said we already have every purple dress in here but I want purple dresses for my bridesmaids. She said«Ok ill go pick some up» and I told her again that we found all the dresses but she left anyway — fine. My girls tried all the dresses on and chose one, 30 min later the stylist came back empty handed and asked if we needed help and I said«I thought you went to pick up some dresses?» she said«Oh sorry someone stopped me I had to help them.» I told her we found the one we liked and we wanted to know the price of a certain belt. She said«OK ill go find the price and get the girls sizes so we can move forward. 3) The stylist is gone for about 20 minutes, I walk around the store to see her standing behind the register ringing people up – I am livid at this point. I went to the lady next to her and asked if we can get another stylist because were in a hurry and our stylist is busy doing another job. Our stylist heard me and said«I’m sorry I was busy helping someone else ill be right with you.» That is completely unfair, I waited almost an hour for her and she hasn’t done a single thing for me except give me false promises. In the midst of all of this I asked if I will get the $ 20 off promotion because I’m buying bridesmaids dresses and I saw a sign, she said«Of course, and you get a $ 25 gift card to(some place I don’t remember)» I was like ok awesome, works for me! 4) She comes back and sizes all the girls, I ask her about the price of the belt and she says«Oh my god I forgot! Ill have my manager check it out» She sizes all 5 of my girls and tells two of them that they are a size 0… they tried on the dress in size 1 and both couldn’t breathe. She sizes one of my girls as size 6 and she tried on a size 5 that was loose on her. 5) We finally get all the sizing right(by guestimation pretty much) and I ask her to order the dresses. She comes back and says«Oh my god I am so sorry, these are not bridesmaids dresses they are special event dresses so we only have whats in store, I cant order any more» I basically lost my sh*t at this point. I asked her to call other DB’s and see if they have any in store. I couldn’t believe this girl just wasted all my time here, do you know how hard it is getting 6 people free on the same day? She says«Let me check my computer on what we have» I told her we already know what you have and its not here! Call another davids bridal! she said«Ok let me ask my boss» Why do you need to ask your boss? JUSTCALLANOTHERSTORE! and also, since they aren’t labeled as bridesmaids dresses, I don’t get the promotional $ 20 off anymore, which is BS. She lied to me 6) My sister and I just called two different davids bridals(she called Northridge and I called Los Angeles) The Los Angeles location happened to be the manager who picked up(I think his name is Roman?) and he was the SWEETEST person on the planet and helped me order my dresses over the phone. He was surprised that they didn’t order the dress for me. He gave me every little detail and calmed me down so much with all his help, he even felt bad that he was taking away business from his sister location, he asked me multiple times to ask them to order for me and I said no, I was too angry to give them any more of my time/business. I ordered 4 dresses from him and bought 1 dress from the store since they had it. When the lady rang me up for my transaction my original stylist came up and said OH I FINALLYFOUNDTHEBELT!(2.5 hours after I initially walked in!!! The store is so small it shouldn’t take that long!) Needless to say I did not buy it. So to top off this story, My dress was $ 99.95. On my drive home I realized that the final cost was $ 119 and it clicked, how can tax be 20%??? I checked my receipt and tag and of course, they charged me wrong. I had to call back and deal with them for another 45 minutes to fix their mistake. I WILLNEVEREVER go here again and I will do my very best never to let anyone i know go here as well. I posted a picture of my tag/receipt. Check pics on their Unilocal page.

I went in with my bridal party yesterday so that they can try on some dresses, and the stylist(Christina) was beyond sweet and helpful in helping me find dresses and sizes for everyone. She greeted everyone individually(which I thought was very nice as opposed to greeting everyone as a whole), and was very helpful in giving suggestions to every single girl when trying on their dress. She was always more than welcome to answer all of my questions and to help me find the right dresses. Though she said it was only her third day there, she seemed very relaxed and natural, and was very professional above all. Thank you Christina for all of your help! I would also suggest the rest of the staff and store manager to work on their customer service. Putting on a fake smile doesn’t mean the customer won’t notice your bad attitude. If you’re tired or not in the mood, maybe next time you can call off of work so that you don’t make your customers go through a bad experience. For those of you looking for a David’s Bridal that excels in customer service, try the one in Duarte, Ca!

After visiting two different David’s Bridal locations, I was reluctant to try a third. The only reason why we came is because they had a a dress in stock that I wanted my daughter to try for her quinceanera. I called ahead to ask if they could hold it and they accepted. The service at this location far exceeds the other so cal locations. They were extremely accommodating and maybe this is because they didn’t overbook their appointments like the other stores did. The girl that assisted us was very patient and helpful. She was great at navigating my daughter in the right direction and although my daughter was hesitant she LOVED her dress! The prices can be high for all items including dresses and wedding belts, but it’s a retail store so I expected this. They also made paying over the phone very easy which was greatly appreciated. If you are looking to shop at a David’s Bridal, this is your store. Don’t bother going to the other locations. It was well worth the drive from the west side. Enjoy and happy shopping.
