As a Brit living in LA I find that the vast majority of Indian Restaurants in US are mediocre meaning 1 star compared to anything in London The best of them — and I would include this one — have one item on the menu which makes the visit worthwhile. Chicken Mirchi Masala(Spicy) is the one you need to order here. Sit back and enjoy the in-staff fights that they don’t seem to worry about sharing with the diners! And the décor is really cool too.

Went here for the lunch buffet. Keep in mind my fiancé has never had Indian food before. It was a great first time experience for him! Tea is amazing and made from scratch(by our own server!). Mango lassi was great, not for me as I am not a sweets person but my fiancé loved it as well. Will be back again! They were changing out the buffet platters often, food was fresh, and I just strongly suggest giving this a shot for a weekend munchies lunch session.

I love the food here! It’s my go-to place for both dine-in and deliver. That said… The last time 2 times I’ve been there, the service wasn’t the greatest. Once the meals came to the table, they never checked on us, or asked us how our meals were. We also had to flag the server down a couple times for drink refills. But if you can live through the lack of personal attention by the service staff, the food is FANTASTIC!

Was here today for the lunch buffet. Love that there are vegetarian options and that the food is refilled often although it took quite a while to get naan. Don’t worry though, there are also meat options! The Saag was probably the best I have ever had. Samosas were pretty good too and the chutney selection is awesome. The raita is also superb! Definitely a 5 for the food but the service wasn’t great and some of the bowls for chutney had old food kind of crusted in them.

Stumbled upon this spot while in Burbank. perfect place to satisfy your curried craving! Nice, casual ambience — if I had to comment on something it’s to play Indian music rather than top 40’s.

I came here with my boyfriend for a quick buffet lunch. Garage parking was easy, and we were seated right away. The buffet table was set up right by the entrance. I was really hoping for fresh naans… Their naans were OK albeit soggy. The day we went in, the buffet offerings were not spectacular(if you ask me) and not too vegetarian-friendly. I was really hoping for paneers… Pakoras were soggy as well. I did like the rice pudding, but I have had much better ones before. You may want to find out the buffet offerings before you head out. The service was excellent. Perhaps, they are much better for dinner.

Love this place. Food is wonderful, the service is great and the atmosphere is exceptional. Love all the statues and special touches in the restaurant. Highly recommended. Also got a great deal on Unilocal!$ 20 for $ 13. Awesome!

So good! And Dolly Parton loves it and it’s her birthday, so you should really go tonight.

Three stars for mediocre Indian food. The restaurant is huge with only 2 or 3 other people inside. There’s a display of all the«celebrities» that have eaten there or one of its other locations. When trying a new Indian place, the chicken tikka masala is usually a clear cut of what you’re gonna get at the restaurant, so that’s what I ordered. I got the dinner portion, $ 13.95 and it didn’t come with basmati rice or naan. What? I’m paying $ 14 and get no sides?! Ridiculous. I shared a side of rice and garlic naan. The food was good, but there was nothing special. Just typical Indian food, wrapped in a pretty and big restaurant. Probably won’t be back, it’s LA, I can find way better Indian food for a reasonable price, sides included.

Bang for the buck Indian buffet in Burbank. Ample street and lot parking for free and the spot is right underneath the structure. Perfect for a quick work hour lunch with the wife. The food is consistently good and the servers always quick to fill your drink and clear any used plates unlike some other buffets. The green sauce is amazing and I drown everything i get in it. Can’t beat $ 11 for all you can eat either.

Ambiance: large spacious, comfortable booths Service: poor, you always have to flag someone down for refills of drinks or questions. Also at 230pm everyone is on lunch break so the staffing is pretty meager Food– Lunch Buffet $ 13 — On weekend comes with champagne which was yummy. — Samosa: super crispy and not overly chewy, very good but shape different than other samosa’s that I’ve had — Vegetable Korma– hands down the best I’ve had here — Chicken curry– standard — Desserts– very small option of fruits(melon, grapes) and rice pudding — Nan very soft and not crunchy at all. Overall buffet was good. However it did not have big staples like lamb vindaloo, goat or alo gobi. Price was reasonable and great that on weekends came with champagne. However given limited selection and poor service I probably would not return again for the buffet. If I came back I would try ala carte menu.

Craving Indian food during our road trip and decided to crash to this place based on reviews. I understand that I should not expect Indian food specially chat which we get in the bay area in L. A but the chat was completely disappointing. It was sour to the level we were not able to eat it. Beside that we got the veg and non veg curry thali. The portions were good. Loved the naan which was hot and soft. If you want to save some money you can get the Unilocal del of $ 13 for $ 20. It is honoured per table and not per person.

Smelled great coming down the stairs of the parking lot. Restaurant looked ok, Food tasted meh. Tried: The Began appetizer, dal, a paneer dish with nuts and raisins. The began appetizer hinted at something greater when you got a small piece of ginger or other spice but ultimately fell flat.

I won’t visit this place ever again. The service was indifferent and lazy & the food totally bland. We ordered Dal makhni(maa ki daal) and they got us yellow dal, when I pointed out their reply was we serve dal of the day. The size of the serving was equal to probably what it was like during the Great Depression . Don’t be fooled by the photographs of the Hollywood stars; probably those guys don’t know what real Indian food tastes like … Highly avoidable IMHO.

How haven’t I reviewed this yet?! I only noticed since I was reviewing another Indian restaurant that had me wanting Flavor of India. I am completely addicted to their amazing food! Their veggie korma haunts me in my dreams! Lol The service isn’t the best, but with food this amazing and authentic who cares at this point?! I only go for pickup or buffet hours and everything is worth it since I have not yet attempted making my own at home. YOUMUSTGO! NOW! Drop what your doing and go fill you bellies with some spicy and savory Indian dishes. You really won’t get enough even with the all you can eat buffet.

Pros: **Located right next to a free Burbank parking structure ** Great Location to grab dessert, coffee, and/or go shopping after dining Cons: **Terrible service Tips: **Located Directy across(behind) from Kabuki and/or Fudruckers Burgers My family and I stopped in today for Indian food. We were promptly seated. After waiting for 8 minutes we were finally greeted by our waiter who served us water. My husband ordered a lemonade that tasted like pure sugar and water with a tad bit of lemon. Another party was seated after us. Same size(party of 5) and it appeared as if they were greeted by their waiter and offered drinks a lot quicker. Of course they were Indian and my family is not — which seemed to cause some discomfort immediately for myself and my husband. We waited another 10 minutes(after the delivery of the water) and finally our waiter asked us what we wanted to eat. We ordered food and waited another 22 – 25 minutes for food to arrive. During this time the waiter never came by to refill our drinks and when the food eventually arrived it was not HOT more like room temperature. Pretty shocking since we waited the normal time for food delivery. The flavors of the food were not that great either and I have visited several different Indian Restaurants throughout the San Fernando and Los Angeles area. The chicken marsala lacked flavor. The Garlic Naan tasted like they just jam packed garlic on top and the vegetable rice was just dry and unflavored. I was disappointed — as I was sooo craving some Indian Food on a cold day. The service was BAD and so was the food. We constantly had to flag down our waiter and ask for refills and to even order more food. Also, there appeared to have a very loud argument happening with wait staff and/employee’s of the restaurant by the bathroom area by which we were seated. This caused another great deal of discomfort. My family and I felt very uncomfortable dining there which is odd as we live in a very diverse society here in Burbank and never want to feel as if we won’t receive the same type of service as anyone else. If you’re looking for GOODSERVICE, and food that actually taste good either walk across the way to Kabuki or dine at another service friendly restaurant, do not take a chance on this place. You may be just as disappointed as my family was. Update: The owner sent me a very rude email/comment to this review. As a result I’m updating my star from 2 starts to 1.

After countless takeout orders(and binge eating,) BF and I finally decided to come here in person and physically dine it. Located just next to the parking structures of Downtown Burbank, Flavor of India is easily accessible. Interiorly, it’s lavished with rich and bright colors that intertwined with beautiful décor. After we were seated, we were greeted by our waiter, who was very pleasant and attentive. And here’s what we ordered: — Onion Bhaji: Delicious small pieces of fried onions, and it came with this amazing sweet tomato chutney. — Vindaloo(lamb:) When it comes to lamb preparation, Indian curry has got to be one of the tastiest styles. Other than it brings out the tastiness of lamb; any kind of gaminess is also masked by its spices. And«Vindaloo» delivered exactly just that. It was fantastic, and mind you, this curry was also distinctively spicier than any other curries on their menu. — Korma(boneless chicken:) Though the taste was sweet and a bit similar to Tikka Marsala; this curry was prepared with nuts and raisins. — Garlic Nann: A must have at Flavor of India, crispy yet moist. And it went so well with any kind of curry/meat. I only wish the portion was bigger. Suffice to say, I enjoyed the food so much that I had to resist the temptation of picking up the plates and licking off all the curry sauces before anyone who dares to grab it away from me. I highly recommend it!
