What can I say? I love this place! JC and his cousin are awesome. Since this is a small place, I’ve never had to wait any length of time for my food. And that counts a lot when u only have a set time for lunch at work. We all know each other by name now after the few times I have visited– it feels like home. Where else can I go for lunch by myself and actually have an on-going conversation with the owner and chef? No where else but JC’s. I don’t leave many reviews for any businesses– but when they are deserved, I have to take the time to show my appreciation. Well, actually, my big belly’s appreciation. :) I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries today– not my first time trying it, and definitely not going to be the last. Its served on a hamburger bun and loaded with a great portion of awesome and tender pulled pork tossed in BBQ. I say tossed cuz I was watching JC cook my meal and sure enough, he tossed that juicy pork all up in that BBQ sauce. MMMM! lol. I’ve been to other places where their pulled pork sandwich is their specialty and is known to be «the best around» and these other restaurants never live up to that claim. But JC certainly knows what he is doing– the pork is juicy and soft and the sauce is damn tasty. It’s NOT one of those pulled pork sandwiches that fall apart and get all over the place cuz whoever made it drenched it in sauce to cover up poor pork quality– JC’s pulled pork is perfectly sauced and perfectly proportioned in my book. Next to this delicious sandwich is a HEAP of fries. I’m a big fan of fries. And these fries DON’T disappoint at all. The seasoning JC uses is like a Lawry’s seasoning salt, but wayyyyy better! If I have the time at work tomorrow, I’ll be stopping in again to try one of their Mexican dishes. I hear their Asada is fantastic. Final thought: I can taste the LOVE in every single bite– JC and the crew know what’s up when it comes to preparing awesome meals!

I ordered takeout from JC’s a few weeks ago based on the amazing five star reviews this place got, and I have to say you guys are dead wrong on this one. While the entrees were OK(though nothing to write home about), the desserts were an absolute travesty. We had the flan and fried icecream. The flan was horrendous! It was crumbly and completely the wrong, bizarre texture and tasted like NOTHING. Zero flavor, it was amazing in its blandness. The fried Ice Cream was PREMADE, freezerburned, and STALE. It must have sat in the freezer for a week to be that bad. How does one mess up fried ice cream?

Please stop leaving these great reviews! I ate here based off these reviews. Everything we ordered was incredibly bland and terrible! I literally couldn’t eat more than a couple bites of anything, except for the French fries. Then, afterwards I got hives! I don’t even know of any food allergies I have?! Shady. Never again.

My friend and I came here on recommendation from Unilocal. We’re not from this area and were not sure where to eat dinner. We pulled up and were a little confused. We thought it would be an actual restaurant but it’s not, it’s a little hole in the wall dive. DONOTLETTHISDETERYOU!!! When we first approached JC’s we were met with only half of the menu items displayed on the front window. Everything looked and sounded so good! Once we got inside we were greeted by the chef(JC himself) and his son. The board inside has the other half of the menu. JC has a bit of an accent so it was sometimes a little hard to understand what he was saying but he and his son joked with my friend and I the entire time we were ordering! I speak a little bit of Spanish and was catching them trying to trick me. Like«do you want chicken or pollo?» It was a great experience! I ordered a pollo quesadilla con arroz y frijoles(Chicken quesadilla with rice and beans) and my friend ordered shrimp fajitas. I seriously died and went to food heaven. Everything was obviously freshly made and had a lot of heart and soul put into it. My friend had pico de gallo with hers and according to her it was spicier than anticipated but so fresh and delicious, You could tell it was homemade. While we were eating, JC’s brother came to check on us, his son came out to check on us, and then JC the chef came out and sat with us, He was so sweet and so funny and told us how he started in the business coming from nothing and worked his way all the way to the top at a high class restaurant but then decided to start his own. It was a touching story and every bit of it came out in his food. GOTOTHISRESTAURANT! If you want authentic Mexican food, eat here. If you want a burger, eat here. If you want Italian, eat here. He’s trained under some of the best and makes amazing fusions. Eat here!

So I was contacted by perhaps the Owner of this place telling me you don’t have to wait in those long lines at Corner Cottage for a Breakfast Burrito come check us out. Well #1 I’m always ready to check out new places and #2 while the Breakfast Burrito at Corner Cottage is good I think they are overrated and NOT worth the hour long wait times. I’ve actually been to JC’s twice and I’ll explain why… looking over all these 5 –Star reviews I just have to laugh, I’m just not getting it, personally I think JC’s Cusine let me see Spanish, Italian, American, Mexican food is struggling for an identity crisis! and I can only comment on the two items I ordered but they were no where 5-Str worthy. My first visit. Breakfast Burrito Bacon — Average size and I think the price was $ 5.95 also about average for a place like this. Eggs, Bacon, Potato’s and Cheese with salsa on the side. Let’s see what we’ve got? WOW potato overload… this burrito is like 75% potato! *(INSIDE) this burrito is BAD in so many ways! First WHERE’s THEBACON!!! and not only where their far too many potato’s, they looked like they were boiled and sliced, no browning from a grill, Eggs well I couldn’t tell if it need another egg or just less potato, cheese could have used a bit more, but they really have this breakfast burrito all wrong, it should be EGG, Meat, Potato, Cheese where their star is Potato. And to top it all off… The SALSA — This tastes like some Bad/Cheap SALSA you get from a Jar or Can watery tomato’s with no flavor or heat! This visit for me was a Bust 2-Strs is a gift, so WHY did I return? the people seemed nice, maybe the place is new and is struggling for an identity? Visit #2 — I switch things up just a bit Breakfast Burrito Chorizo — Egg, Chorizo, Potato and Cheese still too much potato and not enough chorizo/egg JC you might do Fine Cuisine well? but you can’t do Fast Food… Your menu is all over the place, assume your identity and do it well or you’ll soon be closing your doors! Best Wishes in your business…

I was just passing by the place and since I had read good things about it, I decided to give it a shot. The place doesn’t look fancy, but it turned out they only do delivery. there’s table and chairs for 1 – 2 people, though. So I ordered and took a seat. The owner/chef is a nice guy and the food looks fantastic. I had the chicken teryaki and it was so good. It was healthy, spicy and had lots of rice and veggies. I also ordered an iced tea which was great and paid less than $ 10 for the whole thing. If you wanna have something like that someplace else, you should pay at least double the price. He says the steak is also must-try; and that’s cheap too. If you’re in Burbank, this is the perfect place to order food for delivery.

Yummy BREAKFAST Burritos! Finally a good quick mexican spot in burbank! I grew up in LA so ive had some good Mexican food… ive spent some time in burbank the last couple years and have been disappointed with the Mexican food in this area. Corner cottage is overrated and Alhambras is grose. I finally tried JC’S breakfast burritos this morning and it was so good! They actually hook you up with the meat. The owners are nice and gave me a yummy complimentry mexican oatmeal. Im looking forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu.

The food was delicious, the prices were great, and the service was wonderful. My brother and I shared the camarones diablo and the chicken parmigano. Both dishes were excellent and flavorful. The menu is diverse and everything looks and sounds amazing. Can’t wait to go back!

I went to JC’s Cuisine on the recommendation of my fellow Unilocalers tonight. Thanks!!! This is a very small restaurant with outdoor seating. Inside he has a very narrow stainless counter with a few stools. JC is the nicest man and quite a chef. He has years of experience cooking, and just started this Burbank location after moving it from the Crenshaw area. It is mostly for take out now, free local delivery, but he has plans to grow. I sat at one of the outdoor tables and JC is the chief cook, server and in fact besides the delivery person he is it! He was very gracious, and he cooks with full flavor and gusto. I had the Pasta supreme, which is penne, veggies, and your choice of shrimp, chicken, or beef. He made me a chicken and shrimp combo at my request. It had a very flavorful sauce, everything cooked fresh, good portion size, and in good balance. His menu is quite varied and I look forward to trying his breakfast burritos, BBQ ribs, and Pallea some day soon. He said he opens at 8 am for the breakfast crowd, and stays open until 10 pm. This is the independent type of business I love supporting.

This place is a great little find! The food is fresh, very reasonably priced, and tasty to boot. Try and Chicken Teriyaki, Honey Port Salmon or Pasta Alfredo dishes and you won’t be disappointed. It may be small, but chef JC makes sure the dishes are packed with flavor.

Quality food prepared fresh, the vibe is laid back but the dishes and chefs are special! They recently started serving breakfast too, which is excellent! If you make the effort to find this you will not be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I have so far had breakfast and dinner here.(Dinner last night and breakfast this morning). This place is perfect for us. It’s in a good location. The owner JC is very friendly. The food is amazing. We walk our dogs by here a few times a week and when we first decided to give this place a try the owner let us sit at the tables outside with our dogs. Awesome! They do mostly take out and delivery. The food is made after ordering. You can taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. We had the grilled shrimp plate and a chicken caprice burger. We also had two of their breakfast burritos. We give all of these plates 5 stars!!! We both highly recommend JCs Cuisine.

So after a heart felt disappointment yesterday at Apollo with the breakfast burrito I got, I decided to try else where today. Being I walk past JC’s every day I go to class I figured I’d look them up. After reading the reviews I figured I’d try them. And how glad I was. Very friendly greeting awaited me as I walk up to the door. They even advised me as to their top seller. Which was what I had in mind already. The breakfast burrito was amazing. Extremely fresh all the way through. It even rivals Hugo’s and is half the price. So if you are wanting a fresh one check them out. Don’t settle for Apollo which is also more expensive. I look forward to many more visits. Thankx Guys!!! ****I forgot to mention that the portion was very satisfying as well!!*****

Delicious is all I have to say. They cook it when you order it and the food tastes good because they use fresh ingredients. I order the chicken teriyaki bowl from here frequently and haven’t been disappointed yet. I give this café 5 stars for having good cooks, friendly staff, and a food menu with a good variety of options:)

I came here one afternoon looking for a ‘quick pick me up’ kind of meal and walked away extremely impressed by the quality of food, reasonable prices, and awesome service. If you come here for lunch, you’ll come to agree that this little gem tucked away on the corner of Glenoaks and Magnolia– across the street from Apollo Hamburger and the Citibank building; is the best thing since sliced bread… or pudding~ The menu selection ranges from their Hawaii Hamburger(awesome!) to Carne Asada/Lingua, etc. Tacos(scrumptuous) to their delectable Teriyaki bowls. These aren’t your Yoshinoya bowls that are filled with tons of preservatives but rather made from real beef, quality rice, and delicious vegetables. The brothers who own this place will make you feel like family as soon as you step in the door; and with their flat screen TV always on a fun channel; its hard to leave to get back to work. Since they’ve opened, I must have come back 12 times already to try a different dish. Juan has a wide selection that he offers; and if you work anywhere near the Citibank, Farmers Insurance, or Dilbeck Real Estate; make sure you check this place out during one of your lunch or dinner breaks. For the $$, the burgers definitely beat out Apollos across the street and offer so much more food and better service. Plus, I think these guys even deliver! Kudos to the Carlos brothers for making me ‘hooked’ to this new spot in Burbank!

Look who’s new to the neighborhood! JC’s is a small Italian & Spanish fusion spot that just opened up near the N. Glenoaks Blvd & Magnolia Blvd intersection. It’s owned by Juan Carlos and the menu is stacked with a great line up. They have salmon, chicken, beef, steak, burgers, and ribs in their lineup. All of which have the gourmet twist to them! I can’t wait to make my way around the menu. Prices are reasonable for the quality and selections that are in this area. They range from $ 6.95 to $ 10.95 for most everything. Juan Carlos seems line the type of chef that knows the value of a good meal and I have a feeling that we will see very good things in the future! Good Luck!
