I just went there and they served me frozen chicken not even cut up. It usually is cooked over coal but this was pan fried. I saw them put the chicken in the microwave and then fry it. They denied when I asked. I took it to go and it was tough and dry. I called the restaurant and they said I got the right order but they forgot to cut it. Omg they didn’t have any lemons even. What a joke, they didn’t even apologize when I called. Don’t go here!

Ok lets check this place out…20 minutes in, I’m laughing at what I’m experiencing! Here goes: So I walk in — and there’s this big guy in loafers, mom jeans, and Mervyn’s sweater cooking over a great depression era stove. He looks over at me and nods. Ok. Minutes later, this woman comes to me and takes my order. Beef Shwarma(…or something that’s supposed to resemble it). I sit down, look around. I’m the only dude in the restaurant — bad sign, as it’s lunch time(1pm). I get a little nervous that I spent $ 12.00 on garbage — so, I start reading ALL your FAKE4 – 5 star Unilocal comments about this place. 30 minutes in(I don’t know wtf they were doing next to their backyard stove) — the big guy in loafers snaps open a mountain dew and just slams it to the face. I chuckled at that. But then, got a really good laugh at what this f! does next– He walks up to the stove, acts like he’s cooking, and starts yelling at his wife(?). I don’t know if this is really happening — So I think to myself, maybe it’s like that Simpson’s episode(1990s) — when some character made the observation that whenever Russians spoke –they came off mad — but in reality were just talking about every day stuff. Being that I don’t speak Armenian — I have no idea what this guy is telling her. But whatever it is — he’s starting to get real mad! I mean this guy is raising his voice like he caught her with another dude. From where I’m sitting(the empty restaurant by the exit) — I can’t see them anymore — but hear the loud banging sound. He’s either kicking the stove… or pounding her head. But something is getting beat the f! up. At this point, I’m laughing to myself. They’re cooking my food with passion — that sh* better be tasty. Anyhow — she walks out with my to-go bag and says«thank you» –with this defeated look on her face. Now, as I type this, I’m staring at this expensive dog-food I bought. WTF is this? This isn’t kabob. It looks like tossed out carne asada from Vallarta. Is that hair???

I have lived in he area and have tried several of the local Armenian spots, this is by far, the best. Try the pork and lamb chops — I love the grilled peppers and tomatoes, chopped parsley and onion. This place is a perfect hole in the wall with terrific dishes and authentic style. A perfect place to order lunch– you won’t be disappointed!

It wasn’t good at all. We ordered chicken breast kabob and chicken itself wasn’t cooked well. We couldn’t eat it. Rice wasn’t good enough too. Moreover the glass smelled off fish.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The owner(Male) almost always looks like someone just kicked his dog while the lady employee(His wife I assume) seems to be constantly compensating for his off-putting behavior. I’m half Middle Eastern so I grew up on this kind of food, but I don’t come here because it’s the best, this place just always seems to be my go-to when I want fast, cheap kabobs. I always order my food to go and would probably never eat here because it doesn’t feel like a place I can sit and enjoy my meal. Parking is inconvenient and very limited. I would avoid the pork and go for the lamb or chicken!

We really loved this place! For the price, we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of food we got! We had leftovers like crazy. Our favorite was the chicken breast dish & the hummus. Their tzatziki sauce is so refreshing and fluffy, my daughter kept eating it by itself! Service was fast and easy and we can’t wait to return!

Horrible customer service. The lady who works there doesn’t have any idea how to handle business. Totally NOT recommending coming in here!

Went there for lunch, ordered 2 plates. The older Persian lady was so rude, rolled her eyes to my first question. Customer service was horrible. Also quality of food was really bad, couldn’t believe how much they were charging for such poor quality. I am a huge foodie, trust me when I say don’t go here.

Found this place thru a groupon deal… sounded good. So i went there to see what looked good… basically you can buy their meats and spreads by the lb raw or pay a couple bucks more and have them cook you a meal. Since i wanted to try aeveral things, i just got it raw and took it to go to grill later. Tried the marinated lamb kabob and chicken drummettes plus a big container of smoked eggplant spread. All was excellent. very tender, tasty. I will be back.

At times going to the same restaurant can become boring or something seems to always change. Not the case with Glenoaks Kabob House! The food is always fresh and delicious! The staff are always pleasant, welcoming and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about it. I just wish they had a location in South OC.

This place is AOK. Ordered pick up via the order option through Unilocal.I liked the online ordering process, it was very easy. I got the luleh kabob and found it pretty OK. Liked the rice and the salad was very tasty. Boyfriend got the chicken, which he said was moist and tasty, but that he has had better. I think I will try some of the other kabob houses in the area; it’s a very competitive market in Burbank.

The women were very friendly, the old guy shushing the kabobs was neutral but the big fat guy, might be the owner, got mad when I ate a stale pita bread. It was a cold rainy day, I had to ask to microwave the pita a little it was so cold. Anyway, not much customer service but the food was plenty, too much for one person. Not bad. Needed a sauce for flavor on the meat. But healthy. Had the kabob meal. Veggies were great.

The best Armenian barbecue restaurant in the area. Hands down. I come here very often with my boyfriend and absolutely LOVE their bbq. This is not your cheapo fast food place, they only serve top quality meats and everything is made fresh on the grill right when your order. Their meats are so juicy and tender, literally melts in your mouth. Taste is like nothing else. I always get the chicken thigh or breast plate with salad, tomatoes, pita bread, and rice. So delicious. Their prices are so cheap in comparison to others places that serve the same food but their quality is cheap! I have yet to throw a random party just so Kabob House can cater: P The Armenian lady there is always so very nice, love her. She knows me for my «no onions» orders: D If you haven’t gone here, then you haven’t yet tasted real Armenian barbecue.

I’ve been here about six times and genuinely love the food here. I initially went here through a friend’s recommendation. I always get the family special #1 for my office of 8 people, it always ends up being way too much food to feed them and costs under $ 60. The meats, rice, tabouli, hummus and fries are very good. The salad is standard. The grilled tomatoes and peppers that come with the family special aren’t my favorite, but that’s personal preference. I’m impressed at how they package their meals, it always stays fresh and warm in the packing(most other places the fries get soggy by the time you open the box at home, but not here). The service is a bit mixed, sometimes grumpy, sometimes friendly. I’ve never eaten inside the restaurant so I don’t know the level of service they provide in that respect. I always order takeout, and recommend calling an hour or more in advance to place any order. The first time I went there for takeout I had ordered two plates of food on the spot and it took a very long time to prepare it(a little over 40 minutes). They have a couple parking spots in the front which usually are empty, but it also is easy to get street parking here. Regardless of their flaws, the food is delicious, priced well and very filling. I will continue to come back.

The menu certainly looked good, but I don’t know how anything tastes. Entered on a quiet Friday night — maybe four other people in the restaurant. I approached the counter and was told if I wanted to dine in I should have a seat and they would come to take my order. Wait… Wait… Wait… Other people enter and place orders. Wait some more. Check email. Read Facebook. Look around… Wait some more. Get up and leave, then have dinner at the teriyaki place down the street with not so much as a «thanks for coming» or «I’m sorry!»

It’s a well-known fact that Armenians from Armenia don’t know how to properly prepare chelo-kabab. The food here tastes like it’s been prepared by the aforementioned. Low quality meat(i chewed on some gristle and sinew) in their koobideh/luleh. The seasonings are not right and it’s too salty. On top of that, they totally messed up our delivery order. Upon calling the establishment, the lady on the phone argued with us and basically said it was our fault. This place is a joke. If you respect your taste-buds you will definitely dine elsewhere. This kind of food would have passed in the Burbank/Glendale area in the early 90s. The kabab game has been raised since then; these guys lack the experience to make a good product. «There is no such thing as worthless because it can be used as a bad example.»

It’s time for an update! They have added some stuff and the quality keeps getting better! If you love kabobs and don’t want the heavy feeling of kabobs, order the type of kabobs you want without the rice. Ask for a salad instead and they will know exactly what you mean because we do that when we order and it makes the perfect lunch. They have added the kidney bean salad which is a combination of kidney beans, onions and some spices. YUM! Today I ordered the veggie plate which comes with stuffed grape leaves, humus, tabbouleh and a salad. All the savory flavor of the good stuff without the guilt of having a big lunch. All for $ 9.99! By the way, the restaurant is spotless. I love the fact that the place is always clean because I’m married to a clean freak!
