Out Of The Box

Saturday morning I ran into Out Of The Box I was in need of a gift for a last minute birthday present. They put together a package for me that included a beautiful dress, necklace and matching earrings I walked out spending less than 45 $ for a gift. This spot is going to be my go to place for one of a kind gifts. Customer service was excellent!

This store is one of my fav’s! It can be really hard to find organic clothing at a good price and this is the place to get it! I personally like that simply look/​fashion trend and it is really easy to find some every day pieces that I know I can always wear and use no matter what season. The options for jewelry are endless, great prices and great gift ideas as well! For every girl in your life. Super friendly staff– love it!

I love this store so so much. It’s my go to store for gifts and change of season clothing. I am allergic to wool so it is so awesome the great cotton offerings. I can’t even keep track how many times someone asks me where I got my coat (top /​pants /​scarf /​dress) My cousin and a few friends actually went there after I told them. Susie’s designs are unique and very comfortable at the same time. Cozy & cute! And affordable too, the prices are very reasonable and the Ladies Night Out on the last Friday of every month in Magnolia Park in Burbank are great deals and yummy treats. YAY!

I just came home from a day full of shopping, but this store was memorable. I was looking for a statement necklace for a formal dress and I found it here.
The lady was super sweet and took her time showing me the large collection of necklaces. I found two I really liked, they were only $ 20 each and they had a promotion offering a free pair of earrings with each necklace! I got two lovely necklaces and two pairs of earrings for $ 40! I will be coming back again very soon!

First off, they moved to 3202 W. Magnolia Blvd. Burbank, CA 91 505, they are no longer at their Magnolia and Keystone location. The new space is much bigger, and organized wonderfully, the associates are still lovely people.
The quality of clothing has not changed, BUT THE PRICES HAVE…
I used to love this place to bits, but now, not so much :(
I was able to get wonderful pieces at even better prices at their old location.
It seems that they have raised their prices probably to accommodate the higher rent they have to pay for the new location.
The old store used to advertise their prices as «EVERYTHING UNDER $ 20»
Now– it’s «Everything under $ 30»
Most of their pieces are $ 20 for things that used to be $ 5-​$ 10,
Being in my late 20s, I know I’m not their target customer– most of their clothing is better suited for the more ‘mature’ crowd. I was, however, able to find amazing pieces such as dresses, cardigans, sweaters, skirts, and even some earrings– noting costing me over $ 10 a piece.
When I went to their new location last week, I was thoroughly disappointed.
None of the racks had any of the old pieces– even though they were pretty basic things, in casual colors.
Most everything was $ 30 for things you could easily find at a thrift store for much less. Yes, these things are new at Out Of The Box, but the price tag is not worth what you are getting,
Second off, I am saddened at the fact that they do not have everything they used to carry at the old location, Most of what i found were ugly jackets and plain sweaters and pants that were all $ 20, the jackets were $ 30.
They no longer carried the cardigans, jackets, or dresses they once did– which is what I went in for. They don’t even have the handmade earrings for $ 10 either.
This review is not meant to bash on the business, it’s simply to alert new and returning customers of the changes the store has undergone. I was surprised and upset by the lack of depth and breath the new store has, it’s now a few different designs in 5 – 7 different colors. I miss the old store– I was excited about seeing the new location, because it is much bigger than the last and I felt Susie and Thomas deserved to have their business grow because they are such kind people, But in no way should one’s success be at the expense of their customers,
I’ll be back there once they have a «going out of business» sale. Shouldn’t be too long now with their skyrocketed prices. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Fabulous shop! Items are under $ 20.00. And…, there are some recognizable labels amidst the racks. Go by yourself or grab a couple of girlfriends. I found three great pieces and will be back!
