Getting phở to go can be risky depending on how it’s packaged. I was SOOO happy when I ordered here. They packaged everything separately, neatly & even gave me sriracha sauce. The food was sooo good. They use good quality chicken. I will definitely be going back.

This was actually pretty good. Service isn’t all there but the food was hot, delicious, and filling. I got beef phở #11 large with chai ice tea, my sister got chicken chow mien, and my dad got egg noodle phở #11 and we shared egg rolls as well. The sweet chili was a little too spicy for me but was good. There was no complaints from anyone but like I said service wasn’t all there, at the beginning an older gentleman came and helped us and was very sweet to my special needs son, but as more people came in he hardly came to check on us… but I don’t blame him because he was the only one there. I will say this I will definitely be coming back.

My friend and i made a night stop here. I got the vermecelli with shrimp and she got the shrimp phở. Both with jasmine tea. Yummy. I would come back again. Process agent bad and the man was helpful.

I find this place to be very good. I’ve had both the phở and some dishes, and they’re always prepared very well. I also like their nearby competitor, but this place is better. There’s just something about the quality and flavor of the food that is more careful here. The service is simple, slightly formal, and careful. For example, the owner brings your utensils and napkin on a ceramic tray so that they have not touched the surface of the table.

It was a rainy day when I stopped by because nothing seems to hit the spot quite like phở on days like that. What I like most about this place is the mom and pop feel to the restaurant. The owner is a sweet elderly gentlemen who also serves as your waiter, and he is very friendly and attentive. I ordered the #11, Phở Tai Chin, and you really can tell right away that there is no msg in their food and it is served fresh and delicious. A small bowl was very filling for me and came out to about $ 8 but to get a large bowl is only a slight extra. After you’re finished, there’s an apple candy that comes with your bill, and it adds a very nice touch to a very satisfying meal. I highly recommend this place to any phở lover.

A nice place to eat some hot soup! Like it says in the menu, NOMSG! The price is not bad. They are not cheap with their ingredients! The owner is very nice!

Great little hidden gem in Burbank. They do NOT use MSG in their broth, which is clear and delicious. Super nice owner. Friendly service. Highly recommend. 3⁄26 2nd time here. And just as good. And try the Vietnamese coffee! This time I tried the egg noodles, with shrimp, meatballs, won ton and chicken breast. Something about being served by the owner, who is friendly and always smiling, adds to the experience. Nice, quiet place.

Went for dinner and was a little disappointed. I tried twice to order egg rolls but the owner keep telling me to order other items? Finally he said they were out at 7:30pm. Then I ordered the shrimp and wonton phở which was okay the broth was above average. The weird part was the wontons were the store bought type and tasted like the were freezer burned. The picture in the menu also was different. What a shame the place could of been a lot better had they gone shopping for the proper ingredients. I will not return to find out.

Fantastic find for when you’re in the area. I didn’t experience any of the service issues of other reviewers, but this place sadly looks like it might close soon. It was pretty empty at prime time when most other places were full. Not a great sign. I loved the energy of the man who was working, even though he forgot to bring me fish sauce when I asked. Most interactions with him were a bit awkward, but I like that about life. The broth was pretty tasty, and they have tendon and tripe, which a lot of phở places don’t carry these days. I definitely prefer it to Mama Hong’s, which just doesn’t feel like a phở place should feel if that makes any sense at all. I edited my review and boosted to 5 stars. I don’t think I gave it justice that they don’t put MSG in their broth. I’ve never had a negative reaction to it, but many people like to avoid it. I just tend to prefer food be delicious on its own. I don’t know why, but there’s something about fish sauce that just brings phở together for me. They always kept it on the table in Atanta, but never here. 2nd trip: I’ve had phở about a million times and apparently I’ve been doing it all wrong. Apparently you’re supposed to taste the broth first and add the squirts of stuff to taste. This broth is really delicious on its own. I still added some fish sauce and just a few kicks of sriracha, and I think I enjoyed this bowl more than I have in a long, long time. Sure he forgot to bring us waters and gave my soup with tendon to my friend whose stomach turned when I said«get you some glucosamine and chondroitin in that slurp slurp.» But the broth was sooooooo good. This is my phở place.

It could use deeper flavored broth. Otherwise, it is phở. I think I’ll try a hot pot next time. A lot of office people come in for lunch. My experience has been… flavor really depends on the area. Want good Chinese? Get to Chinatown. Phở? Maybe Chinatown again because I’m not aware of a lil Vietnam here. Otherwise, don’t sit there complaining it needs more flavor. Staff was friendly and place was clean. Yes, I’d come here again if I’m in the area.

HORRIBLESERVICE. food is great but still. if the service is bad you can’t enjoy your food. first of all, they only have two workers, one cook, and one waiter, which is an old man that can’t hear that well. we ordered a spring roll as an appetizer and we double checked that he heard it. our phở came in 45 min which shouldn’t take that long because we were the only ones there, other good places were closed or really packed. HEFORGOTTOGIVEUSUTENSILS so we could eat!!! really, how could a worker forget to give customers utensils so they can eat phở? anyway, our spring rolls never came. once we finished our phở, we asked him about our spring rolls and they hadn’t even made it. we told them to forget it, paid, and left. never going back there again!

After reading the review from Valerie, I decided to bump up my rating from three stars to four. I really do not want to give this place a bad review because the owner is truly a nice guy. My friends and I came here on Christmas Day because it was cold and this was one of the few places that were open. There were a few full tables and the owner seated us. We all asked for waters but we did not get them until we asked again multiple times and finally received them after our food came out. We ordered our phở and a side of spring rolls. When my friend asked later on if the spring rolls would be coming out before the food or with it, the owner told us that they were out. Something he should have told us while we were ordering. As for the food, the phở is always fresh and yummy and so are the sides(basil, jalapeño, lime, bean sprouts) that come with it. This spot has great potential, just the fact that it is understaffed is a big issue. Personally I am not that big of a phở person and I have it once in a while so I probably will not be back here anytime soon. If you have some time to spare and want authentic phở then this is a good place to come. Just be patient with them, they are trying their hardest.

I may change my rating once I actually get an opportunity to eat here. My rating is only based on service and how we were greeted. We walked in after a movie on a very cold night really wanting some Phở. We sat down; owner/waiter walked by us a few times then finally gave us our menus. Several times he walked past us and I kept making eye contact to indicate we were ready to order. About three to five minutes later another couple walked in and sat down. Again, I kept giving him eye contact to let him know we were ready to order. Now, patience I have but when you go immediately to the couple that came in five minutes after us to take their order first, that’s a bit rough. Unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to try the food because we walked out. Then I looked at the reviews; do’h. I should have read them first. I would have loved to have stayed to eat to try the phở but didn’t because we were totally skipped over. I even would have waited had he come to us in the order we arrived. I wish he would hire one other waiter to help him and his wife.

There’s a lot of reviews here about the wait time for service, but here’s what you need to know before you dine here: The owner is your waiter, and(who I’m assuming is the wife) is the only chef in the kitchen. He just recently opened this spot in downtown Burbank and has told us that he still cannot afford to hire more people. So because he’s so busy take in to consideration that it’s the beginning of a business, but well worth the wait. Please Be kind. The owner is extremely nice and welcoming. There was even a time when eating here when past customers saw how busy it was getting in the restaurant and began to help with ordering and serving until it settled down . When good people need help it will happen. My family and I(total of 6) come here very often, the food is very good and unlike other phở, that’s why we love it! The flavor differs and has began to be a craving of ours. I recommend coming here(not if you’re in a hurry), but if you’re willing to enjoy good phở and give the owner a chance.

Food: The food was alright, average at the most. Not bad but at the same time not great also. We had the a plate of Pad Thai, two bowls of Vermicelli Noodles and a Supposedly plate of Chow Fun. Our plate of Pad Thai was alright. Not the best that we’ve had. The noodles were a bit undercook. That killed it for us. We love Pad Thai and it was a disappointment. We just prefer our noodles to be on the side of cooked throughly. We originally ordered a plate of Chow Fun but we were given a plate of Chow Mien instead. It was once again, alright. We would’ve preferred what we ordered but it’s a sad thing when they give you a wrong plate. The Vermicelli Noodles that we had might of saved this review. It was simply the best dish that we had there. I we recommend it if you like the sauce it comes with. Service: The owner who served us was very kind. Something that did bother me was when my friend tried ordering a Mongolian beef plate but he seemed so confused like it wasn’t on the menu. Without a explanation he suddenly suggested a new dish to my friend like she wasn’t sure what she wanted. All we had to say was that if they didn’t have the ingredients for that dish, he should’ve been honest with us. Besides that he was very kind and welcoming, always coming and checking on us. Overall, the experience that we had was alright. Just average. Not bad but not great. The best thing might just be the owner who served us.

After leaving my buddy’s wedding in Griffith Park, Mrs. Picante and I were feeling a bit peckish. Considering it was only 9:45, and we sure didn’t want to pick up the kids from Grammy and Pop-pop’s yet… and entertaining the notion that date nights are few and far between these days, we flew up the 5 to Burbank, parked the truck, and wandered towards the glow of the Village proper. Thanks to the Unilocal app, we quickly found a Phở place – Phở Burbank – we checked the stars and scrolled through a few reviews, and walked in the front door past the«A» rating window placard. Sure, we were the only folks in the joint(that closes at 11 on Saturdays) but all the mo’ better to get the server’s attention. We ordered the spring roll appetizer, served with Romaine, mint, carrots, cucumbers, cold noodles, and fish sauce for dipping. They were hot and delicious. Four spring rolls and three lettuce leaves was a minor inconvenience, and there could have been an extra sprig of mint on the plate, but with two big bowls of phở coming to the table – and the fact that this place has figured out how to bring the appetizer BEFORE the soup(the opposite is often the case at many Vietnamese restaurants) – we didn’t trouble ourselves with the details. Mrs. Picante ordered a Tai Chin, and I got my usual Tai Nam Gan Sach Bo Vien. The menu read«no MSG» and after the first bite, I believed it… tasty, light broth and a good sticky chew to the noodles. I hate it when the noodles go into the broth fully cooked, and then overlook and turn to mush. That was NOT the case here. Only a small piece or two of tripe and tendon in my soup… Would have liked more cow parts in my bowl. Maybe they had already packed stuff up before we arrived? Still a good bowl of phở. Prices are not Valley Blvd. low here… About $ 9 a bowl, with an $ 8 appetizer. But still, a cheap date, and we were satisfied. Little extras like the server pouring Hoisin and Sriracha in our serving bowls, and lots of ice water refills. We’ll be back!

Saw this place a few weeks ago while having lunch across the street and decided to try it out today. First appearance is that it’s very clean and very empty. Possibly because the AC was not on our maybe not working well enough. It was 100 plus out today and a cool restaurant would have been more welcoming. All the same it wasn’t terrible so we decided to stay. The older gentleman working brought us menus and water, took our order and brought us set ups. He was a man of few words but you can tell he has a kind soul. We order Phở. One shrimp and one meatballs. He brought out fresh basil, line, sprouts, and jalapeño. A staple of Phở. We ordered the small which is plenty for me but if you want to share or have a bigger appetite the large is worth the price increase. I really enjoyed the broth flavor. Not overly salty, but a wonderful flavor and they do not use msg. A great bonus. My friend thought there could have been a few more shrimp. I thought there were plenty of meatballs for the size in mine. The bathroom is very clean, as is the restaurant. A great addition to Burbank! I hope to see more people adventuring in to try this little gem.(Just get that AC cranking on these 100+ days). We’ll definitely be back.

I really want to like this place. It’s new and replaced China Inn, which was in Burbank for so long(too bad I didn’t get to say goodbye). It’s got a major competitor a couple doors down in Mama Hong’s. But this place is mom & pop style and just like any first couple dates, putting it’s best foot forward. That being said… I can understand the $ point, but I am still not used to spending $ 10 on a bowl of phở(Mama Hong’s is the same price). The broth is decent, but it isn’t the typical phở place you’re used to. Which can be a good thing. I’ll admit they boast not just Vietnamese but French infusion cuisine. Their speciality, atleast to me, lies in the appetizers like their eggrolls or their«raviolis»… But the best thing to get here is the chicken. You can get quarter, half, or full and it comes with a side of pasta or fries. So, I suggest — if you’re coming here, don’t bank on the phở, bank on the unique dishes they have and then you might be able to enjoy your experience.
