Senator Travel

So recently I’ve been thinking about taking my mom on a trip to Europe, Paris and Rome to be exact. We are both seasoned travelers but have never traveled together. On all my past trips I’ve made all the booking of hotels and flights but this time I was a little too busy so I thought I would reach out to a travel agent. I checked with my trusted Unilocal and found Senator Travel to have great reviews. So I jumped in my car and drove over.
When I walked in the third floor office I was greeted by two receptionist. I was told to have a seat and that Andre would be with me shortly. Around five minutes later Andre came and greeted me and I followed him back to his office. I thought we hit it off really well. He asked all the right questions, what my budget was, when we were leaving/​returning, how many days in each city, I mean he was on top of everything. I even found out he was from Portugal and I told him my niece was born in the Azores. He told me he would call or email me later that day with a draft of my trip. I actually walked out their office feeling really excited.
I was so excited that I started researching hotels for my trip. I didn’t receive a call or email from Andre until after 6 pm by than I had already a list of placed that I was interested in. I looked over the draft that Andre emailed me and although the flights were fine the hotels he picked were not in the area we spoke of and were not rated very high. Even with the little bit of time that I spent researching hotels the one’s I found were at the same rate or lower but very much higher rated than the one’s Andre recommended.
So I emailed Andre back with the hotels I found to see what kind of prices he could get. Nothing. not a phone call or a email from Andre the next day until once again around 6 pm (which I found out is around when he leaves) Now if you’ve ever done any traveling you know how important it is to get your hotels and flight booked early because anything can change, hotels and flights can get filled up. Any travel agent will tell you this. Andre email said that he was still checking on the hotels I sent him. All day?
So I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. Within two hours I was done. In that time I found direct flights to and from Europe and hotels that had great review’s in area’s that we liked compared to the one-​stop flights and low rated hotels Andre offered. The best thing was I did it for $ 80.00 dollars less.
To Summarize:
What took me two hours to book it probably should have taken Andre, who I imagine is a pro less than half that time. Why didn’t he communicate with me?
When I was sitting in Andre office he mentioned to me how they got commission from the hotel I would be staying at, so when I didn’t like the hotels that Andre picked and picked my own it probably put a dent in their commision and maybe that’s why he was reluctant to help me or at the least but me at the bottom of his to do list.
Make your own plans and deal directly with the hotels and you will save money. One hotel that Andre recommended wanted $ 928.50 for a four night stay. I went directly to the hotels website and put in the same exact days and I got a quote of $ 490.00. Remember the hotel is paying them commission so someone is going to pay for it and it’s not going to be the travel agent or the hotel.

This post is way overdue, but I have to give some love to David!
Last spring I was planning a surprise birthday trip to Europe for my wife’s 30 birthday. Neither of us had been before and wanted to see a lot… for the best value. With technology, friends & family who have lived throughout Europe, and TripAdvisor, I figured I could map out the perfect trip.
There was so much to navigate!
What if it’s a crappy hotel in a terrible (dangerous or inconvenient) area? What if we’d be bored or unaccepted (two Black lesbians traveling… We’re always cautious when traveling to new places).
On top of that, my wife is very meticulous and thoughtful! This was here 30^th and I planned it as a surprise. I wanted everything to be perfect. What if I missed a plan she would have caught? What if our trip wasn’t up to her Aries’ standards?
I found Senator Travel on Unilocal.I got David. We started talking and turned out he and my wife have the same birthday!
I took that as a sign and let him lead the way.
In short with David’s help, we had an AMAZING AMAZING adventure! Our hotels and locations were totally unmatched.
We visited 3 countries, 5 cities in 12 days. It was epic!
Can’t wait to plan the next trip!

I travel a lot. I called to form a business partnership, really. They kept me on hold for some time, then a woman answered, wasn’t very friendly, and asked me, «If we can even find you a fare, can you come into the office to pay for your flight in person?» I said no. She said «Well then I’m sorry, I can’t help you.» This is modern age, people. Take my credit card and don’t waste my time!

My boyfriend & I just got back from a wonderful vacation in Europe thanks to Senator Travel & David!
We started out by letting David know what places we wanted to see & our budget. We had a modest budget and he was able to work with it.
We took 4 flights, stayed in 4 hotels (which were a lot nicer than i expected), and booked 2 tours and did not encounter a single problem checking in and all that. So I must say, David only books with reliable companies. He was also easy to reach & very accomodating (we changed our itinerary about 3 times! Ooppsss).
Overall, i highly recommend Senator Travel. I didnt mention that their service is high affordable! Call them now!

We don’t do tours so having a customized approach to travelling in Europe requires Senator Travel. Andre L. is beyond fantastic + he is my 1^st call when we plan a trip. Professional, well informed + easy to work with. He’s beyond wonderful. Just returned from a trip to Rome (6 in our group). He took all the stress out of travelling in such a large group (hotel, private tours).
I have used for trips to France, Italy & Switzerland + will use for all future trips to Europe.
If I could give Andre more than 5 stars, I would!

I have not used a travel agency in over 20 years, and I am sure I am not the only one. My family wanted to try and organize a fairly complex travel plan at the last moment with not all the details figured out, and not much personal time to do so. After a careful look on Unilocal,I decided to contact Senator Travel. They were very friendly and help me figure out exactly what I wanted. Even when things got tight based on the time restrains, they made sure that we got what we wanted with no compromises. In the end, my kids spent a great vacation with their grandparents, and my wife and I discovered a part of the country we would not have thought to go to. Senator Travel provided exactly what I wanted: very personal service. In the future, if things get even slightly complicated, I would recommend using them, as I have, and will.

Thanks to the reviews on Unilocal; I contacted Senator Travel to assist me with a trip I was planning to Europe. I got travel consultant David. David has been great! He provided me with hotel recommendations, assisted with purchasing Euro Rail tickets and much more. He was very accommodating and professional. Working with Senator Travel has been a pleasure. I have been able to tell David what I want and he has done all the «leg» work. I would recommend using them when you need to plan a trip.

A few months ago I realized that my honeymoon to Italy and France was quickly approaching, and apart from one small aspect of our trip, nothing was planned! I quickly started researching flights and hotels, but got more and more overwhelmed.
Our first problem is that we’re beginning and ending our trip in two different locations, so I needed to find double the flights. Also the flights I did find were crazy expensive.
Secondly, while I didn’t need to find a place to stay in France (Paris, specifically), I know very little about Rome and Florence so finding accommodations there is tricky. I really wanted to stay at beautiful, romantic hotels, but honestly every place get mixed reviews, and I had no one who could give me any real insight.
I decided to try the help of a travel agent. The first agency I tried acted like they were doing me a favor by working for me, and would not even LOOK INTO a proposal until I first paid them a large deposit. Then, when I mentioned that since it was our honeymoon, we wanted romance and atmosphere over fancy luxury, the woman snootily said she did not look at hotels with less than three stars, which had nothing to do with my request.
Senator Travel was my second attempt, and I could not be happier! During my first conversation with him, David made it clear that he was actually listening to what I was saying, and that my requests were not a huge pain, but were totally doable and understandable.
And when something changed unexpectedly, or I realized a little more clearly what we were looking for, David addressed our concerns with a smile and a reassuring word. He really went out of his way to make sure we were happy and satisfied. We will be going to Rome and Florence, and David has found the most romantic hotels, and a lovely Tour of Tuscany, that has gotten us SO excited!
We just got our packet with itinerary, train tickets, and flight info; David even threw in complimentary luggage tags, a really nice touch. Everything looks perfect, and my husband and I cannot wait to leave in just under a month.
I will be using Senator Travel again and again. David stretched our dollars and our imaginations. What more can you ask for?

My wife and I decided to book our honeymoon to Paris through Senator Travel based on all the positive reviews. Andre did a wonderful job finding us great fares on our flights and presenting us with some really great hotel options. What’s really cool is that he can even get you a better rate than what’s posted on the Internet. The next time we travel internationally, we’ll be sure to call him again.

Ditto on all the positive reviews. I called Senator about booking a last-​minute trip from LAX to anywhere. They took down my preferences and called me back in an hour with a list of recommended destinations with weather reports. Amazingly, the travel agent told me that it would be cheaper for me to book the arrangements myself and gave me the numbers and websites of the recommended airlines and hotels. I will definitely come back to this agency for future travel arrangements and hope to repay them for their kindness by booking through them on an international vacation.

I’m in the middle of intense planning for a trip through parts of the mid-​west (MI, IN, IL, MN) and have become baffled by the rental car industry. WHY are you so expensive?!
I started calling a few travel agencies listed on Unilocal to find out if the numbers I’m seeing are correct and Senator Travel was fabulous. The woman who answered my call was friendly, honest, helpful… and she even took the time to do some research on her end to calculate the best deal out for me. She saw the best deal through Hertz so I’m going to do a little more research before booking. I’m not a customer yet I get friendly service and someone going the extra mile to explain things to me? a travel newbie?

The next time I need a travel agent, this is definitely the first place I’ll call.

Edit 6÷2÷07: I leave in the morning for a week long trip, and noticed an error for the return leg home. I send an email, and it’s a saturday, plus it’s 8:00pm, so I figure to have a solution on monday sometime. Nope. I get a reply within 90 minutes, even at this ridiculous hour (work-​wise), with all revisions made. I was impressed before, but now I’m floored. Fantastic fanatical customer service. Kudos to Evelyn, as she does this company great credit. I couldn’t recommend her more, and wish I had 10 stars to dole out. =D
