On this trip I decided to eat inside and the food came out so fast and hot. It couldn’t have been more than 4 minutes. Everything tasted great, I would definitely come back again. Only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the servers weren’t the nicest.

This place has been here forever, the owners are very friendly and if you frequent the restaurant will get to know you very well. As for the food, I loveeee their chicken fried rice, I eat it by itself, I know weird! But it’s so delicious. I also like their Mongolian beef and egg rolls. There restaurant could use some updating, especially the restroom but for the great prices of the food I’m not complaining!

Their egg rolls are super good. Good cheap Chinese food. We have had their soup, fried rice, orange chicken, obviously the egg rolls — and it’s all been delicious.

This is by far the best Chinese food restaurant I have visited. The food is great. Not too salty and many different choices. The staff is better than the food itself. All are very kind and welcoming. I have gone many times that they know me by name. I was upset when this place was closed do to a fire in the plaza, but now that it is open I couldn’t be happier.

Quiet Burbank-Off Location If you’re all about supporting small business, then come here. Not a commercial Chinese food restaurant, not too sexy, nice inside, air conditioned and cool, no cute hostess at the front desk… old school authentic Chinese employees. This place is never packed. If you like quiet and simple this is your place. I just posted a recent menu in the pics section. Prices are good. Roxanne below had a fair review… agreed the egg rolls are very oily! Skip theses. I ordered orange chicken to go. They double wrapped the container which has never been done before. This really locks in the heat. Vegetables and chicken were excellent. Very fresh celery. Fried rice looked awesome, but was a little plain. I just put some spices on for added flavor. Intimate little restaurant, quiet, peaceful, comfortable, good food. Support the little guy. I get the feeling they have no idea what Unilocal is and we are commenting on their restaurant. They have new management. This place has been at this location for a long time. It is the exact opposite vibe compared to the new shopping center off San Fernando with Best Buy and Michaels… think Burbank like it was 1985 again before the mega malls and you had little mom and pop restaurants.

My family has been going to this place for a few years, and it was a big disappointment when it was closed because of the fire in one of the other buildings. Their food is delicious, but then again it’s also Chinese food, and many of us have tasted chicken and rice before. The employees are very sweet, attentive, and fast. Further more, I’m still waiting for that«bad day» where the chef’s a little off, or the employees are down or my order is wrong and in 4 years that has yet to happen. This place is reliably delicious and has reliably superb service. If you like Chinese food, this is definitely a good place to try.

When you first walk in you are greeted and sat down. On the walls there a pictures of entrees that are helpful for someone who doesn’t know what half of the food looks like. I ordered the dumplings, beef chow mien and crackerjack shrimp. Best decision ever! I’ve heard about the wonton soup, but I will try that the next time I go. Overall very delicious and not pricey. The workers are nice and the tea they serve is fresh and hot. They also deliver in a 3 mile radius. This is my new favorite place !

I was very happy to see that Sun Moon Garden had opened up again, and under the same management. I decided to order for pick up and had two orders of 93. Shrimp Fried Rice, 107. Steamed Fish(boneless), and a custom dish of Fish with Black Bean Sauce. What I love about their take out I’d they always pack the containers with as much food as they can, so even if the price seems a bit high, you get enough on your plate. Aside from being a bit salty, the fried rice was delicious and filling. The steamed fish was served over a sauce that went very well when mixed into the rice. The fish was cooked perfectly, and being boneless is always a plus to me. As for the custom order, the fish with black bean sauce had a great taste to it as well. It had been cooked to a great texture of only a slight crunch and integrated with the sauce exquisitely. On top of everything, they also gave us an order of 65. Salt and Pepper Shrimp with my to-go order which, of course, tasted great too. The food is great and healthy with fresh ingredients and no msg, the owners are some of the nicest people I’ve met, and I will continue to bring my family here as our go to Chinese restaurant.

This is my favorite Chinese place in the Valley. It’s a nice little restaurant and the employees are very kind. They’re always happy to help out customers find the right combinations for their meals. I usually put a little bit of everything on my plate. Chicken Chow Mein, Broccoli Beef, Honey Walnut Shrimp, etc. They’re all very good. The complimentary hot tea is also delicious! I believe it’s a Jasmine Green Tea, really good!

Had a better experience this time around. Ordered the Sun Moon Chefs Special. It was shrimp beef with snow peas and water chestnuts tossed together is this sauce. Its a classic chinese dish for sure I just dont know the name of it. It was great. A lot better than I expected. Not even sure why I came back but I did and enjoyed the meal very much. Screw the dinner specials just get an entrée tbh.

This restaurant has average Chinese food. Not bad, not excellent. Average. The things that make it average are Too oily egg rolls(I think they are double dipped) No spice in food. That is why it is 3 stars it is average for 8 dollars it’s not a bad value, however Panda Express may be a notch above in seasonings. The service is ok. Again not bad I ordered orange chicken which is supposed to be spicy. It didn’t have any spice to it. I probably won’t return but this restaurant makes for an ok «try it for yourself» experience.

The eggroll was terrible, just a handful of grease inside and out. The house fried rice had 3 pieces of chicken and 3 shrimp, that’s it, but it tasted good, like east-coast fried rice. The chicken was white and soft and seemed like it had been boiled or something then thrown into the cooked rice, not cooked with the rice. The Kung Pao Beef had no flavor and the beef was chewy and fatty. Everything tasted bland and warmed-over, I like Hot Wok on Lankershim a lot better and it’s all freshly cooked. Sun Moon was ready in 3 mins, what’s up with that???
Worst part was the short chubby guy at the desk who took my lunch order. $ 6.15 for lunch plate plus $ 6.95 for fried rice does not add up to $ 15.50 even with 10% tax. Oh well, you ripped me off for $ 1.25 but you did not get your $ 2 tip so the jokes on you.

There’s quite a few Chinese restaurants in the valley that make me go «meh» and this is definitely one of them. While the staff was attentive and friendly; the egg drop soup was watery and weirdly orange, the kung pao chicken was so loaded with veggies and lacking flavor it was almost a peanut salad, and(much less importantly) the fortune cookies didn’t work at all with«in bed». WTH, man!

Loved my Cashew Nut Chicken Dinner Plate. Price: $ 7.75. Plenty of food, great service. Taste is beyond expectations. One day I will learn how to make this. But in the meantime, Sun Moon Garden!

I was with my SO other on New Year’s Day and his brother requested him to bring over some Chinese food to his house and I was searching high & low for a Chinese restaurant that was opened this day. I was delighted when a gentleman with a heavy Chinese accent picked up the phone and informed me they were open and we instantly headed towards that direction. We pondered over the menu for a bit and decided on a large order for both the Pork dish [cannot remember for the life of me which dish] and Eggplant with Hot Garlic Sauce [which is my go to dish when it comes to a Chinese restaurant]. We up to pay with the gentleman, he informs us the wait will be about 10 minutes or so. He starts up a conversation with my SO and he asked him if he speaks Chinese [he’s Hispanic FYI] and he replied no… the elderly gentleman knew I spoke Chinese and asked me what is the relationship between us two and said this is a very unusual relationship. I don’t know what he was insinuating or he was being downright racist because an Asian [Chinese more specifically] is with a non-Asian [Hispanic].that clearly offended me and I could not wait to get out of there. The food came out rather quickly and we took our togo to his brother house. I was famish when I opened our dishes and I was quickly disappointed with my eggplant. The taste of the sauce was completely off as to how it’s supposed to taste, I can make a better Eggplant with Hot Garlic Sauce better than this place. There was nothing impressive about this dish, I can’t speak for the meat dish but he only ate a few bites so I am assuming it’s definitely not heaven in his mouth either. I will say with confidence I will never spend my money at this place ever again, even if it’s the last Chinese place open and I have the biggest craving for it. I am still completely appalled by his comments about my SO. Please save your money and go to another Chinese restaurant, trust me. you’re not missing much if you decide to skip this place.
