So this review is just for their orange chicken. Came here on Saturday 1÷9÷16 and got 2 orders of the orange chicken and vegetables only, which was $ 3.99 each. Mind you, I’ve gotten this before at the Yoshinoya in Panorama City, and I loved it! It was awesome, so I came here because I was craving it, thinking that it would be the same awesome flavor that I got in Panorama. Boy, was I wrong. The chicken tasted old, like it was just sitting there for awhile, and they barely put any of the orange sauce on it, like isn’t it supposed to taste like orange chicken!!! It also wasn’t even hot, it was like lukewarm, so yea I knew it wasn’t made fresh. I should have just ordered their teriyaki chicken and vegetables instead, I’m sure it would have tasted better/fresher. I just wasted money on it, and I just finished it because I hate throwing money away. Hopefully they change the way they make it, because the orange chicken tastes really good if made right, and I would rather get it at Yoshinoya than at Panda Express.

I love coming to this Yoshinoya. The food is well prepared compared to other places. I live in North Hollywood and drive here when I crave Yoshinoya. :)

How can you never get one order right? Their chicken is full of fat. Some times I just chew a plain piece of chicken fat.

They have to learn to listen to customers request. How hard is it when client says easy rice

I like beef bowls. I do not like raw onions. I like it when the onions have been cooked long enough to absorb the broth and become soft and full of flavor. This Yoshinoya does that. To top it off, I ordered my food and it was ready within 1 minute. Literally.

Always come here for a quick fix. Been coking here for years. And, never disappointed. Nothing fancy about it. Just a spot to chill and fill up. The menu changed. They’ve added steak and tilapia bowls. Both look really good. But, if you been coming here you know the that the original large combo is the goto dish.(For me it is) :)

What made this place great for me Was the great customer service from one of the employees. I wasn’t able to catch his name but he’s pretty awesome. He greeted me at the door, took my order, was very nice and then took the order of what seemed to be a regular customer bc he knew his order and offered him a cup for water. As I sat and enjoyed my lunch I heard him asking customers about their day. Anyhow, it’s super cool to see a person really enjoy himself even when he’s a work and take the time to know people.

I’ve eaten at Yoshinoya since I was young. It’s changed since then. This spot in Burbank is hit and miss. This time I ordered a large chicken bowl with extra terryake sauce to go. Got home and opened the box to find that the vegetables looked like it had been sitting around for awhile and something was up with the chicken. Tasted the burnt stuff more than the chicken and even the sauce couldn’t hide the flavor. Not a lot of chicken either. It was filled with the old veggies. A lot of skin and not a lot of chicken. Just had a lot better than this before. I’m not a wealthy person so just spent a lot of money for crap food. Another thing I’ve noticed about this location is that no one seems to like working there. They try sometimes to be nice but you can see right through it. Not sure if they get paid enough or what the problem is but their attitude can make the food taste even worse than it already is. Good training doesn’t seem to exist anymore. To Yoshinoya execs, you’ve forgotten what good food is. That’s what brings people to spend money on your food, quality food and service. Not sure if I’ll ever go back to another Yoshinoya again. They seem to have put more importance on money than good food.

I love yoshinoya, the food is great, service is nice, it’s good fast-food joint to bring the family with. My favorite bowl is the beef, and I always have to get the gyozas there AND the yummy claim chowder… Mmm so good. This location was kinda shady though.

Love this Yoshinoya! Well… I love them all! Actually craving it right now. I love the taste and the consistency of things at this location. For those that know me and know what I food snob I can be, try it out before you criticize! There’s something special about opening a combo as it steams. Adding hot chili flakes and soy sauce before eating it with the pink shredded ginger-makes this perfect! Wish I had one closer to home :-(

About once every 3 years I go to Yoshinoya if only to remind myself how bad it is. I have lived in other cities with rice bowl chains that are awesome. I guess I keep hoping that Yoshinoya will get it right some day, but they never do. The beef is very fatty, the chicken is just a very cheap grade of chicken and is also usually fatty and chewy. The veggies aren’t good. This place just sucks all around.

It’s a little weird that this place is always empty but has been here for quite a while. The employees always seem to be busy with something despite no one being in the restaurant. Not too friendly either. Good deal on the food, the chicken bowl I ordered had plenty of chicken — more chicken than rice, in fact. Good to have when you’re looking for something fast, cheap, and of Asian flavor.

Love the food, but the manager Luis is not nice or welcoming in this place. His attitude with people is bad, speciality when we need to buy with coupons. I mentioned to one of the employes and I guess she went to tell him and Luis the manager came to my table an asked me what my problem was. As a manager he should never ever confront a customer that way. Sorry but this place deserves better management. Unhappy customer.

Can’t go wrong with any size beef bowl, no onions, and hella pepper on the rice and beef.

I dont know it is about this food, but i cant get enough. Ever since i tried the grilled fish plate, its all I’ve been ordering. It tastes like something you get out of an expensive Japanese restaurant, but without being overly priced. The service could be better and the employees are kind of ghetto. But the food makes everything worth it! Look out for coupons in your junk mail! they have great deals.

What happened to Yoshinoya? Trying to upgrade didn’t help. Tereyaki chicken was just too salty, the one that I had at least. Three stars for the friendly Filipino cashier. I don’t recommend picking food up here 30 minutes before they close whenever this only girl is working. She CAN be mean. Though having to work at a café before, I kind of understand she just wants to go home. «Don’t make a mess over there,» she insisted, as I fill 2oz containers with their yummy pepper and ginger. Plus 0.5 if only I sticked to the good ol’ beef combo bowl. Also if they had a drive thru. It’s kind of hard to leave the parking lot with traffic in the afternoon.
