Not bad. The sushi is ok. The place is a little dated. I’m not sure what year they opened but you can tell that it’s been there for a while. It’s not antiquated don’t get me wrong its just that there are a few things that seem to be falling apart a little bit or at least that was the case the last time I was there.

The restaurant offer good quality of food. Albacore is one of the best I ever have, very soft and so good. I love the restaurant happy hour. The price compare to the quality is super. Usually go there when shopping at Ikea. Stop by when you shop at Ikea. You will like it.

Zono Sushi offers a sushi bar as well a general menu of Japanese food. I selected the Dinner Special Combination. The special comes with Miso Soup, Salad, 3 California Roll pieces, and a choice of two items. I ordered the Beef Teriyaki and Spicy Tuna Rolls. Very good indeed!

Really digging this place! They have great happy hour prices and items on it! Unlike many places that make the portions smaller for happy hour their portions stay big. So far I have tried the baby langostino, spicy tuna, salmon poke and Philadelphia roll. All delicious and fresh. Really digging how buttery their spicy tuna is, it’s not overly spicy either. The baby langostino roll is pretty much full sized and very good! Everyone there is also very sweet and attentive! Definitely a spot to check out! I have been already twice and am going to keep coming back. b

My favorite restruant ever!!! I hate they closed the one in Dena, Glendale and Burbank is whats left. I would now prefer the one in Glendale better ambiance. However lunch combos are cheaper in Burbank, but they also close at lunch time 2:30 and reopen for dinner @ 5:30.I believe glendale doesn’t not close after lunch hours

Zono sushi is located in the heart of downtown Burbank. It is walking distance to movie theaters and shopping centers. Parking is never an issue as it is surrounded by parking garages. Wait staff is always friendly. The happy hour is AMAZING and the reason I keep going back. The happy hour menu includes food and drinks. While the prices are unbeatable, quality is not sacrificed. The fish is always fresh, the sushi rice is incredible and their seaweed is full of flavor. My only advice to this place would be to work with wait staff on promptness. The sushi bar works very fast with food but sometimes I will be waiting for a beverage or even to be asked if I’d like another beverage for upwards of 15 minutes. Overall, a great restaurant! Food is great, drinks are great, and the prices are unbeatable. The service team could be a bit faster but I will still be back!

The customer service was good, but my bf and I ordered a California roll and after he ate it he had a stomach flu, I Dont know if its because the sushi was out for long out.

I’ve been going to this place for years now even though I have to do a considerable drive. I love their lunch and dinner specials. I’ve tried many Japanese restaurants and their beef and salmon teriyaki is almost always dry, not at Zono. Zono’s beef is tender and cook as request, salmon has never been given to me over cook here. The dressing on their salad is delicious.

A friend brought us here for their happy hour on a Saturday evening.(6−8pm). Our friends really liked the Sakura combo(3 were ordered), I liked the yori, baby longistino, and park roll. All very good! We also ordered mochi and fried ice cream. We didn’t order any alcohol, our bill was about $ 70, not bad for 4 people. The server was rushing about, they were a little busy. At times it seemed like they were understaffed. Restrooms were clean. Parking is easy, shared with Hooters and the theatre. Would return.

This is my second visit to Zono and probably my best sushi experience anywhere thus far. We decided to sit at the sushi bar and were immediately greeted by our chef with a smile, warm edamame and a hot towel. We arrived during happy hour and ordered off the happy hour menu. We ordered about 5 rolls and every one of them was perfect! Our bill came to under $ 30 which is probably the least amount we’ve spent anywhere for sushi. I feel like you can’t go wrong with anything you order here. Most people go to sushi joints already knowing what they like(ex: if you usually get a Dragon Roll elsewhere, get one here!) the fish is fresh and the service is fast and friendly. The cripsy rice and spicy tuna are amazing! This is definitely my new favorite sushi place!

Pretty good and affordable place for a sushi spot. Nothing amazing and can be pricey if you order their rolls. Best bang for your price will be their happy hour or lunch special rolls.

My husband and I frequent Zono, it’s our favorite sushi spot. Always fresh and delicious! We love the Z roll, Mountain roll, Rainbow roll, the lobster roll, albacore sushi and pretty much everything on their menu. The half shell oysters are always fresh and fantastic! 5 stars!!!

Tried and true throughout the years for great lunch combination bento boxes and such. I had not been there in several years until recently and I must say the place needs updating. It feels old. The booths, the floor, everything… They need to update and upgrade it all. We were in time for their weekday happy hour that goes on until 8pm, which is nice. We ordered sesame chicken($ 3.50) which I have always loved here with a squeeze or 3 of the provided lemon slice and creamy dipping sauce. I’m a big fan. We also got shrimp & vegetable tempura($ 3.50). It was a good with a good sized variety & portion. We had to get the crabmeat cheese puff($ 3.50) which you really cannot go without. Crab meat and cream cheese in a deep fried won ton wrapper. Excellent. Comes with sweet & sour dipping sauce. We also got a spider roll($ 6.95) as I had to have some softshell crab. It was pretty good. Big rolls. Gotta eat in a few bites or will def be a choking hazard. We also ordered a Z roll($ 8.95) which is a spicy tuna roll topped with avocado with spicy mayo and eel sauce. It was just ok. Food was decent. The classics were as expected. They were good. Service was a little too disruptive with the lady asking us and other booths next to us if we were ok every 5 mins or so. I know she meant well but it was kind of overkill. I hope they do some renovations to the place. I’d hate to see it go.

Zono Sushi is the fast food of of sushi. We went to our usual place and there was a 45 minute wait. I called our 2nd go to, they too had a wait of 45 minutes. My husband suggested Thai, but my craving for Japanese was just too strong, I needed sushi and I needed it STAT. I had been here before over 5 years ago and remember being disappointed. But as we drove by I decided to give it another chance. Unlike our first two choices, it was empty on a Friday night at 8:00PM. Not a good sign. I didn’t care. I was hungry and running out of patience. We were in a roll kind of mood. Hello mayonnaise! Pros: Friendly/Fast Service Heated Edamame Don’t have to fight crowds Cons: Expensive rolls for what they are Everything is drenched in mayonnaise Dingy and a bit run down Sake is overpriced Zono Sushi? No. Rename. Mayo Sushi. It will probably be another 5 years until we venture here again.

It’s just Okay. I appreciate that my dragon roll looked like a dragon but my boyfriends did not. Lol. Which is weird. If two people from the same party order it they should both have it or both not have it. Service was good. No complaints. They were fast and friendly. It’s a small place. Menus need improvement. I would come here again if I was in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way. Again. There was nothing really wrong with this place but nothing spectacularly special either.

Hadn’t come here in few years and decided to bring my sister here for lunch. They redecorated and seem to have all new staff. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was pleasant. Will start coming here again when in Burbank.
