This place is amazing! Everything about it; from the modern, beach-y decore to the freshly made fruit cups is right on par. The innkeepers are very accommodating and friendly. The view is indescribably beautiful and ever-changing… Ships would pass by, the sunset changed every night and the mountains are beautiful. I loved that the fridge was freshly stocked every day after we got home from going into the city, which is only a twenty minute drive away!(This place is the prime location for people who want to visit the city, but have quieter nights.) Every time we go back to Seattle, we will be going back to Olympic View Bed and Breakfast!

Well, first of all this should not be classified as a B&B, as there is no breakfast involved. We were notified of this upon our arrival, when we were showed the eggs and pancake mix in the mini fridge. This all took a back seat to the fact that the«Inn Keeper» completely forgot our reservation, as well as the fact we had paid the deposit months in advance. She rudely asked for our conformation and credit card, and immediately ran the 2nd half of the charge before we had even put our bags down. We stayed there for 3 days and two nights, and this was the last we saw of her. Although did see that she had come into the cottage when we left to go on a walk. Although not to refill the fridge or clean the dishes as she had said she would, but evidently just to take a look around. The amenities listed on the website(horseshoe pit, bocce ball, gardens, koi pond) are all actually in her yard. If you don’t mind interrupting her family dinner in the front yard, and the laundry drying on the line, I’m sure you could enjoy it. There was no gas BBQ on the deck, as advertised(much to our dismay as we had to then attempt to cook our burgers on the world’s oldest frying pan). «Serene park-like», and«private» are the last words I would use to describe this place. The deck is parallel to her family’s and we felt like we were intruding each time we stepped outside. This is the perfect example that just because you may have extra room on your property, does not mean you are cut out to run a B&B. If I wanted to experience a rude dismissive inn keeper, and be ignored, I would have stayed at a hotel. People look for a different experience when at a B&B, and a nice view just doesn’t cut it.

I really wanted to give this place more stars… but I just couldn’t. It was not for a lack of cleanliness or amenities though. It is purely the fact that you have to cook your own breakfast here. Call me crazy, but when you are paying that much money for a night away… don’t you expect to have your food cooked FOR you?! The room itself was absolutely great. It basically is an apartment over their garage. It was very private and had a clean, large hot tub on a deck. The view was great too. What they do supply for breakfast is some fresh pastries on the counter and a mini block of cheese, some eggs, and milk in the fridge. They also included a bowl of fruit. We had to go out and buy bacon… because darn it, we like bacon! Oh, and the amount of utensils available were sparse and there wasn’t even a spatula to make eggs. They do your dishes for you while you are out and about. Overall the place is nice but I think for the price they are charging which was over $ 160 a night, they should cook the food when you want it.

This place was awesome — so fresh and crisp and modern and new and wonderful! The hot tub on the deck overlooking the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountain range is beyond incredible. The hosts were positively wonderful, and it was very nice to have the breakfast part of «bed & breakfast» mean that breakfast is brought to you in this private cottage, not sitting around the table with strangers. Even though it’s out of my usual price range(currently $ 165-$ 220, their cost, not my price range), it was definitely worth the lower end of that range. The website is very detailed and has many pictures, too.
