Red Roof Inn Jan 23 stayed at hotel, first time here I had a reservation, front desk who name is Allied ask my id and credit card. I said, I already paid online, don’t charge me again. She ask, how many persons going stay in the hotel. My reservation will let you know how many persons going to stay in the red roof inn. She still want to know and ask me again. She ask me to sign the paper, sign what paper, parking fee $ 10/​night. Wow first time got charge for parking in the hotel which I didn’t read all their listing. I thought everywhere is free so Red Roof Parking is free too but not. My family and I got to the shuttle at hotel to airport. Coming Back, I Call the front desk to pick up, we had waiting for about 38 minutes for the shuttle back to the Red Roof Inn. The other hotels shuttles like American Best shuttle drove past us 3 times but the Red Roof took about 40 minutes. I think front desk who name Allied forgot about us. Allied is not a good customer service. When I talk to her she is not nice and unrespectful.

The place could use a little work but, you get what you pay for. I’m not completely upset with the room. I’m more upset with the room service with red roof plus+. We had a long layover and decided to get a room close by the airport. Are flight was delayed and we got in really late. We were hungry after a 6 hour flight and decided to order room service. If you stay here I recommend not ordering from the menu they have bad customer service and the fettuccine which is listed as a favorite is the WORST I have ever had and for it to cost $ 15 you would expect it to be edible or at least smell good. The sauce was really runny and had globs of cheese and the chicken taste like rubber. When I called and told them I was not satisfied with the meal and wanted to trade it for the 6 piece tender I only got 4. The employer over the phone was not so courteous. They told me it was fresh garlic sauce such and such but, I had to throw the fettuccine outside my room cause it smelled so bad. If your hungry go somewhere else save your money.

Staff was nice and proximity to airport is good. They charge $ 10 for parking which I didn’t know ahead of time. Hard pillows and not enough of them. Wifi is free but horrible connection. Room was okay, beds semi-​comfortable. Not convinced about cleanliness, nothing visible just more a worn out feeling. I wish I had spent more and stayed someplace else even tho all I need the room for is to sleep.

We were woken at 3am to the sound of what we thought were gun shots, but we were relieved to hear it was only a local crack head smashing down one of the vending machines within the hotel. Concierge seemed very calm about the event, but to us it felt like world war three was beginning in the sea-​tac locale. Highly recommend if you don’t like sleep.

Front desk girl is weird looking and smells sort of funny, but otherwise decent place to stay. I really do think she does drugs when nobody is looking.

Red Roof Inn in Seatac — Do not bother with their ‘room service’ menu, even though it has the hotel’s name on it, it is for an out-​of-​state service that contacts some random restaurant in the area! The menu does not state this anywhere and makes it appear as if the food is coming directly from the hotel. Stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of. Order was half an hour late, i called and that’s when I found out I had ordered from an out of state service. Hotel staff was no help, said they had no contact with them. Order was wrong, I couldn’t catch the delivery guy, and when I called the service back, they said oh, we only give refunds by check. Well we paid with cash, and we were not going to be in that state to receive a check after the next day. They never came back with a correct order, which is probably good bc we had to get up for an early flight anyways.
Vending machine did not do anything!!! Would not accept cash, and would only accept certain kinds of credit cards, not debit cards. And even when my friend tried his cc, it did nothing!!! What a load of crap. Its a good thing we brought at least a few snacks with us.
Walls are paper thin.
Picked this place to save money we needed for the trip, but would never stay there again.
The staff downstairs in the early morning were slightly pleasant, but that’s the only positive thing I have to say about this place.

Awful awful awful. Broken elevators. Broken exercise equiptment. Rude day time staff but a descent location.

The Red Roof Inn is conveniently located near SEATAC and offers a shuttle to/​from the airport. If you need to use it at a certain time there is a sign-​in sheet in the main lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable for a 3 night stay.
I paid $ 55/​night and booked directly through their website. They do charge $ 1.50/night for the safe but you can ask them to drop the charge — see the bill you’re signing for info. I rented a car but was not charged to park at the hotel; best to check with front desk about this. They give you a parking pass that should be displayed when in the parking area.
For people complaining about airplane noise, hello — you’re near the airport! The planes overhead stop about 11:00 — 11:30pm or at least I didn’t notice them after then. I didn’t hear any of my neighbors other than their shower turn on. I did use a sleep mask due to ambient light that came in from the gas station but slept soundly all three nights.
I would recommend the Red Roof as an inexpensive option when visiting Seattle.

Pay more and stay somewhere else. Pros: close to airport; pet friendly. Cons: sketchy location, sketchy transients hanging around in the parking lot, cleanliness is meh, no food nearby, snarky front desk. As a woman traveling alone, I did not feel comfortable. Oh, and bring ear plugs; you will hear everything in the adjoining rooms. I mean Everything.
P. S. Daily $ 10 parking fee. Seriously? The parking lot is NOT SECURE nor is it monitored. No security patrol. NADA. What is this fee paying for?

This hotel is a great alternative to a hotel in Downtown Seattle. It’s only $ 81 and a 10 minute walk to the Link Light Rail train station at the airport where for $ 3 you can take a 35 minute train ride into the Westlake Station in Downtown Seattle. You can then walk to the Aquarium and Market and for $ 2 use the Monorail to see the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum and EMP Museum.
There is an elevator in the Market to take you down to the street level where the Aquarium is, saving you at least a hundred steps!
The hotel is in a safe neighborhood, is neat and clean, has plenty of hot water and has a complimentary shuttle to the airport. Also, Denny’s Restaurant is just a 4 minute walk for a great breakfast/​meal on the way to the Light Rail station.
The front desk was very friendly and English speaking and has free fast Wi-​Fi. There is a safe in the room for $ 1.50/day. There is a computer and printer to print complimentary boarding passes.
You can buy a CityPass for $ 69 at any attraction and see 5 major attractions at 48% off, including (1) Space Needle, (2)Aquarium, (3)Argosy Harbor Cruise and (4) Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum or Pacific Science Center and (5)EMP Museum or Woodland Park Zoo
My wife and i returned from a 7 day Alaskan cruise and stayed here in late September 2015 for two nights and saw 5 attractions.

Front desk staff was not as personable/​friendly as expected. Rooms are «eh.» I would give it two stars only for the fact that it’s close to the airport with the airport shuttle availability. Otherwise, I wish I stayed elsewhere.

I had a very horrible birthday weekend here. To begin with me and my friends purchase a room with double beds and were told we had too many unregistred guest although it was 4 people two to a bed in a room with double beds for that exact purpose. Next the hotel staff in particular Allie and Jasmine fabricated a lie about how me and my friends smoked in our room and did not even take the time to properly investigate the allegations. Thrid from day one staff where rude and disrespectful almost like they were looking for a reason to kick me and my friends out. Me and my friends are from Oregon and we never had any incident like this occur while vacationing anywhere else. My goal is to inform people about the systematic racism and bureaucratic racist policies that allow the Red Roof inn to discriminate without any premise or validity to their claims made against paying customers.

Basically one step above Motel 6. At this price point, your biggest obstacle to a good nights sleep is the dirt bag clientele that may be joining you here. Mostly a noise issue. The room was clean, good bed, nice updated big screen TV w/​cable that actually gave a nice picture. Met almost all my criteria. Just dont wake up and start lookin for that complimentary Starbucks coffee pack that the nicer hotels leave you. No dining nearby, order take out.

The woman at the front desk glowered at me the second I walked in the door. While waiting to speak with her, I used the lobby bathroom. It was gnarly. Poop stains on the bowl, a filthy floor, and a sticky door knob convinced me that this is NOT a hotel I’ll be staying at. I walked out before checking in and I didn’t look back.

I will keep this short. I was able to sleep well here, but it is certainly not worth the price. It is super low on amenities and not the cleanest hotel I have stayed in. I chose this place because it was the cheapest option I could find that offered a shuttle to the hotel. Word of advise, if you come in after 11pm you may need to call the hotel to get the shuttle to pick you up. It was not a horrible hotel, but I don’t think I would stay here again.

–people who did not look like guests were «hanging out» in the parking garage and outside of the hotel
–security lock in room was loose

–fee for overnight parking
–Wi-​Fi signal was weak
Overall, I did NOT feel safe staying at this hotel. I would definitely NOT stay here again! I would recommend spending a little more money to stay somewhere cleaner and safer.

Ok, so first, the price through
was great, it is close to airport, I didn’t like the 7.00 parking fee, the girls up front were nice, the one (1) elevator is questionable, went to room and it looked good at first, then I went to iron clothes and the ironing board was broke, then looked under covers and hair was present, and it wasn’t mine, the pillows were medium quality, over all, for the price, and not wanting to look anymore because it was late was ok. You won’t want to stay to long,

Eeeewww! Where do I begin? The hallways reek of old, stale mildew and cigarette smoke. The rooms were a little smelling better but not much. But the absolute worst smell was the VOMIT on the carpet of the elevator to the parking lot and then the huge pile of it outside the same elevator. HORRID! The walls and floors were so paper thin that the desk clerk actually asked if we wanted a good night sleep before placing us in the room on the top floor. That might have been useful if the constant flushing toilets from all the rooms around us didn’t disrupt our sleep.
I know I should not have expected much from a budget hotel near the airport, but amazingly the planes weren’t loud enough to block out the plumbing noises.

I found the clerk I dealt with to be interesting. I walked in and shortly after a large group came in after me. I was asked to move my car because I was blocking the aisle (should have taken a picture, because I wasn’t blocking it). Go to the back of a large line, got it. The real issue was the shuttle… idling diesel fumes next to the entrance. But, whatever. I moved my car forward and as I was walking in someone else pulled up behind me and parked in the very spot I had just moved out of. He was not asked to move. So, I guess the clerk had a nice power trip. Everyone has their thing I guess.
I asked if the lobby was the only entrance. I was told curtly that the lobby elevator was broken and given vague directions to some other elevator. With my dog and suitcase in tow, I was unable to locate the elevator as the signage is a little lacking. The same clerk who was oh so helpful earlier walked me to the elevator. The car that was in my «blocking» spot was still there when she came out to lead me to the elevator, in case you were wondering.
Anyway, if you have ever visited a prison, that is exactly what the secondary elevator reminded me of. That lovely institute of justice feel that is second to none. The room was clean and recently updated but the smell of air freshener nearly knocked me on my butt when we walked into our room. Don’t even want to know why so much was used.
Just your basic, noisy, airport hotel. No big deal. Next time we will stay at the Ramada down the street. Not necessarily because of the room, more due to interesting staff being a theme here (according to other reviews anyway).

Stayed here while on my Pacific Northwest excursion. Great room & was very surprised given the location. Driving down International Blvd I began to second guess my decision to book here.
Price-​wise, you get a great deal. I always stay in cheap hotels so I can have more money to do stuff but I felt that this place was one of the nicer cheap hotels that I’ve stayed at. Compared to the previous 4 nights we spent at the Eastside Lodge in Portland, this hotel seemed like a luxury room & the big TV was a nice touch!
Only downside to this room is the location. Certain areas are a bit sketchy & it is a lengthy drive to all of the cool places in the city. You definitely need a car if you plan on staying here! But for the cost of this hotel vs downtown Seattle hotels, the money spent on gas will still come out cheaper.
