Great burgers Somewhat pricey but its worth it. Definitely better than getting fast food. I recommend the double bacon burger

Smokies is a very good local burger joint. Very good food and decently priced. The only thing I can say negative is the Young girl that works upfront just seems Real half ass get the feeling that she doesn’t like her job either that or she’s having personal problems

It’s so hard to rate. the food is 5 stars, its worth the drive from Tacoma. the price is 5 stars the staff is 2 stars at best the restaurant cleanliness is 1 star. I knew the original owner of smokeys back in the day and I worked at Big«b’s» in west seattle back in the day. Smokey’s hasn’t changed as I watch them prepare the food the kitchen is the same and the same equipment is still in use. The owner should reinvest in the business and do a little clean up and training of staff. Its pretty clear the owner doesn’t care and its to bad.

These are the burgers from my childhood. I always get the cheeseburger combo with fry sauce and tarter. Never disappointing. It’s been around for years which speaks volumes around how good it is vs. the big mega fast food chains.

Smokey’s Charbroil makes delicious burgers. Their milkshakes are great too and they are made by hand while you wait. The fries are crinkle cut, get fry sauce to dip them. They balance out the rich burgers and shakes. I recommend that you take your food to go and eat at North Seatac Park or the Botanical Garden which are both nearby since there isn’t great seating at Smokey’s. Bön appetit

Had the cheeseburger and onion rings. SO delicious! They crisp their buns and have extra crispy and flavorful rings!

We use to go to Smokey’s and have home delivery from Smokey’s in the mid 1980’s. Food was off the wall and the service was impeccable. My husband would phone in on Friday night and they would just say«your usual» and it would arrive at your home pipping hot(even the fry’s were hot and crispy). The flame broiled burgers were always moist with the great smoky flavor, the toppings were crisp shredded lettuce, great sliced tomato, thick bacon and the buns were always toasted to perfection. Well flash forward to 2015 May and my husband decides drive there from his work in Ballard to get what we thought would be a old time favorite. He gets home only to find he had paid for double bacon cheese burgers X 3 and only got single bacon cheese burgers, he was charged for doubles. When calling they did offer to exchange if we brought them back, sorry but that sucks to drive 20 miles back there when all they had to do is have pride in their job and give the best customer service like they did back in the 80’s. The burgers we got was not worth the effort or time to get them, little toppings, few pieces of lettuces and chopped tomato’s. The meat was dry and grisly, what you would expect a cheap hamburger. We use to brag about Smokey’s for years for being one of the best burgers we have tried, not anymore. Would rather pay more to have the quality of food and service like it was years ago then to have low prices and poor quality customer service. Feel bad having to write a post like this about a place we have loved for years.

The customer service was pretty bad. The reason for 1 star is after my wife and I received our food the lady behind the counter pulled out her nail filer and started filing her nails all over the counter. Thats just nasty, ruined our whole appetite. The only time we will be seeing this place is when we drive by it.

I’ve eaten here once since we moved here in 2010. thin frozen burgers used, and the fries were gritty, undercooked from frozen. Onion rings were the kind you could buy at albertsons across the street. Go to zippys in white center or Georgetown if you’re jonesin for good burger, fries and rings done right!

I wanted to like this place… but…this was THE worst burger I’ve ever had. The meat was thin, dry, and flavorless… and cold. It didn’t even melt the cheese on my cheeseburger. We ate inside, and halfway through our meal, we were asked to move our car because we were in the«bosses» parking space. Won’t be going back.

I’ve lived in burien for almost 20 years now and I can’t believe that I never ate here before! I’m almost mad at myself for it. It’s a pretty good place for your all American burger. There was nothing wrong with it. The fries had a nice bite to them, the double bacon burger was delicious, and their philly was good too. The only thing was they put tomatoes and lettuce in their philly. It was my first philly so I don’t know if that’s normal. But overall a hidden gem.

I LOVE this place. The burgers are pretty cheap, they are just delicious and greasy and amazing. It’s pretty basic stuff, nothing crazy. But they do have chicken sandwiches & Blts & fish and chips so there are some other options. I gave 4 stars because the service is pretty terrible. I asked for grilled onions last time and they said no they couldn’t do it, not even for an extra charge. & they offer onion rings & there are chopped onions on the burgers so it’s not like there isn’t any in the building… kind of ridiculous. & the woman at the register is kind of dull as well. But it’s more of a grab & go place(there’s a small bar style table & like 3 chairs in there) so it’s really not a huge deal. All & all, good food for a fair price!

First thing I noticed in the parking lot – and then it hit me in the face when I walked inside – NOAROMA! Burgers that are char broiled over an open flame should throw out smells that send a meaty hook through your nostrils and give you whiplash dragging you in the place. No smells. No hook. No whiplash. I never even thought while eating it, «I can’t wait to finish THIS bite so I can go in and get ANOTHER bite!» In fact, the burger here was fairly gristle-y. Rings were decent, and the banana shake was good enough, but the whole experience was way overpriced($ 10+) for what I got. I hunted Smokey’s down only because a native Burian had directed me there in my search for the best burger in Burien. He’ll be disappointed to learn Smokey’s is no longer what it once was. Paul’s Joint, on the other hand? My new-found addiction.

Okay, pause. This place has an incredible burger. Albeit the presentation for the food is virtually as detailed as my college bank account(bone dry) and the store is lacking a serious interior design work over, the food is soooooo good. There is a time and a place for a hole-in-the-wall side of the road pit stop burger, and it’s acceptable, every time you pass by this place because it’s that surprisingly good. The fries, I will admit, I am not much of a thick cut potato person, I prefer shoestring but take my word for it these fries are not bad, so long as you specify your preference of fry-age. They’ll give it to you either 1.)a little hot and limp 2.)a little crunchy and crisp. It’s all up to you. My advice for you is to buy a burger, some onion rings, and a shake to top it off. Take that secret prize home, as the interior decoration is abysmal, and the only view you have is a wall, or traffic. Not bad.

i usually get my nails done across the street at Orchid Nails, and always looked over and wanted to try it after the 10 millionth time looking over. It’s a really small place, there’s a couple counter seats and 2 tables outside. I had the BLT with mushrooms. the BLT was 3.99 and the mushrooms cost me another 1 $. I also ordered a bacon cheedar special which was around 7 bucks, and my total was around 14 $ for 2 burgers, small fries, and a drink. The burger overall was pretty OKAY, i was craving a burger, and i would say it met up to my standards. the mushrooms were a great touch by the way! and i would come here again just because the burgers were pretty cheap. Didn’t have a chance to try any shakes though, maybe next time!

The ONIONRINGS are great! Crispy texture, not greasy, don’t need a dipping sauce they are good enough on their own. I’ve had the fish sandwich, the fish ‘n’ chips, and a burger, and liked them all enough. Nothing fancy going on here, and I kind of like things fancy to be honest. I saw a soft-serve machine, so I skipped the shake, I prefer my milkshakes with hard ice cream. Service is not fast, so allow some time to get your food. I’ll keep coming back for those onion rings, and maybe I’ll find something else on the menu I really like.

When was the last time you had a real banana milkshake?! True White Center originals will say that Smokey’s isn’t the same and they’ll talk about how good it used to be compared to how it is now. But I tell ya, Smokey’s is still my guilty pleasure burger spot. If you’re in the area and don’t want the typical Jack in the box or McDonalds, hit up Smokey’s, you won’t be disappointed.

The burgers, fries and shakes are amazing. I have been eating here a long time, less since they stopped delivering. The building, signs, seating and décor is dated to say the least. For the money and convenience best cheap burger in Burien hands down. Make to take it to go.

Smokey’s is great burgers for super cheap, real charbroiled flame cooked burgers, and delicious and cheap appetizers like onion rings, curly fries and mozzi sticks. You can get everything your heart desires easily for under ten bucks. They are speedy and friendly and this is always a go to for a good burger. This is a popular place for everyone to go, and the prices make it possible for all sorts of people eat here. The interior of the place is pretty small, there is only a tiny counter with stools to sit at and maybe a table I don’t know for sure. But I always get my food to go.
