Treat yourself! And go to Sofylia Salon. Even if you’re just a guy getting a haircut. Jasmine greeted me at the door, took my jacket and promptly sat me down. Jasmine cut my hair and her attention to not only detail but my comfort was superb. She was also knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my haircut as well as the finished product)
From what I saw, the facilities were impressive. I’ve never been in a salon so this one really set a high bar in my book.

Wow… Being the first time coming in, I was pretty impressed! The girl that did my nails was super nice and even offer me some water!
The place is really nice looking and the price is actually not bad for the treatment.

I was excited to hear that Hong opened up her salon in Burien, and though it was 30 minutes away from where I live, I couldn’t find anybody else who knew my hair better than she does. The 20% off deal for new clients was also a plus, and was an incentive for me to take the journey down to visit her for a haircut and balayage.
The salon is located in a plaza right off the highway exit, and directly across the street from Safeway (for those who can’t find it). The interior is very clean, modern and spacious. Making an appointment with her was very easy, and she will send a reminder the day before which is a nice courtesy.
I wanted to go a lighter brown since my last balayage job was too dark, and also to fix the haircut job that was done from a different hairstylist. I showed her a pic and she went straight to work on my hair. Although the haircut and balayage service took a total of 3.5 hours, Hong is very friendly and easy to talk to, and I was very comfortable throughout the whole time.
As for the end result, my hair looked AMAZING. When it comes to Asian hair, I can attest that Hong knows how to work her magic in transforming your hair into a work of art. She will even explain to you the steps she is doing with your hair if you are starting to freak out during the coloring process. Trust me, she knows what she’s doing and knows what will work and what doesn’t work with your own individual hair type and style. I look forward to seeing her again in about 3 – 4 months to touch up on the color!

I went in with my sister to get our hair colored and cut. Booking was very easy and flexible with Hong and she confirms everything by text. She also is good at reminding you about your appointment which I found super helpful.
The salon is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. The store is very clean and modern, it’s comfortable to be in here for 4 – 5 hours.
Hong started with my hair which I decided I wanted to go blonde (I have black black hair) and I was kind of worried about the color and how it would all look. When I first saw my hair done, I was a little uncertain about the color but after a month I can say I love love love my hair. I get so many compliments on the balayage and my hair didn’t come out fried or anything. Also, my hair didn’t have any orange-​y color which is common too. As my natural hair grows out, everything still looks perfect since we kept the top half of my hair my natural hair color so it’s super easy to maintain.
My sister got her hair cut and also colored and it looked amazing as well. Prices are pretty good and Hong is really down to earth and friendly so your time there is really enjoyable.

Hong was very informative, professional, and took the time that was necessary to color correct and trim my hair. She provided great tips and tricks to make sure I keep my hair looking gorgeous in between visits. I can’t wait until the next visit!

Got my hair colored (toning and balayage) by Hong, she got me in on a Monday just by myself. She was really sweet and friendly, took her time with the process and even styled my hair even though it was late (4 hrs or so total?) It turned out great, will definitely recommend!

I went in for a toning session with Hong. I should mention how efficient it was when I contacted her for an appointment via email! Definitely made the booking process quick and accommodating.
Upon my arrival Hong asked if I would like a beverage, I’m glad she did because I was pretty thirsty. I went in with a partial balayage from about three months back from another color stylist. My hair was pretty brassy and orange.
Hong was very relatable and we had fun conversations! I was also able to discuss what colors and tones I gravitate towards.
During my toning session I was given a head massage during my wash (kudos!) .
Once I was on the chair to get my hair blow dried and styled I was thrilled to see the results. Hong was able to apply what was said during our conversations, my hair tone is now ash brown/​blonde!
I really appreciate her listening ears and her execution!
One of the things that I always look for in a stylist: a knowledgable professional that provides maintenance tips for their clients. Hong definitely carried out these characteristics!

Wow!!! Each time I’ve seen Hong, I come out with amazing hair. So glad Hong and Jasmine have opened their salon.
I use to go to Gene Juarez and spend lots of money on services that weren’t needed. They would color my grays black and then do a balayage. My hair looked descent for a while but the color never lasted and eventually turned brassy, orange and on top of that, it was dry. I felt like a number at Gene Juarez, they never created a good customer experience for me.
It’s hard to find someone that understands Asian coarse hair, especially when I wanted caramel highlights. Hong took her time with me, she did color correction, gray touch up, toned, balayage and deep conditioning. After a few months, my hair was healthy, long, shiny and beautiful. Now, all I have to do is maintenance. Hong educates her clients on all the services she performs so you know what your receiving and are happy with the results.
I love my hair, and it’s so soft with the Brazilian blowout. Today, I had a manicure and my nails look so pretty too, their nail technician is an artist.
This place is definitely a gem, I’m sad that I’m sharing my secret with the world since I’m certain everyone who visits will return.
