Denny’s

I’m only giving 1 star because I have to. My husband and I stopped by for breakfast around 10:30am. Upon walking in we had suspicions that we were in for a bad experience. The tables weren’t cleared (at least 12 empty) so we had to wait about 5 – 10 mins to be seated. Waiting wasn’t the issue. It was the fact that they weren’t busy, but no one was doing anything about the wait. While waiting, we saw at least 8 orders just sitting in the window with no one picking them up. When the Manager (I think) finally decided to seat us, she pointed us to our table without providing us with a menu or silverware. Many times waitresses and hostesses walked by our table, failing to make eye contact so we could request them. We waited 10 – 15 mins and got up and left.
If you are thinking of going, DON’T. The reviews are correct. It’s horrible.

I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews before I went otherwise I would have not gone. Went on a Sunday afternoon and was very pleased there was not a big wait (maybe everyone else read
) lucky for me. Staff was courteous, food was good, and the place seemed very clean. Maybe we came on the right day because I didn’t smell smoke which was good because I can’t stand the smell. Overall I enjoyed it.

Bad service, bad hosting, bad food and they always run out of everything, the tables aren’t cleared making the wait time longer.

It’s Denny’s, the bar isn’t set very high. However this is by far the worst Denny’s I’ve ever been to. Our waitress was far more concerned with her side work than she was with taking our order and bringing us drinks. She repeatedly complained about the weather (rain) and how everyone should leave so they can get home safe before it got bad (aside from thunderstorms, it wasn’t «bad»). At 2 pm there were 2 other tables in the restaurant, and at least 3 tables that I saw that hadn’t been bussed and stayed dirty for the duration of our visit. This restaurant was dirty, the food was cold and the service was poor, which all seem to be the general consensus among other reviewers. Go to IHOP or somewhere else in the area, this place isn’t worth your time or money.

Apparently, everyone here was legitimately@this particular Denny’s.
Key words: Stinks. Smoke Filthy. No service. Rude. COLD food (that is, what little you actually receive). Reminded me of a hotel breakfast… But not just a «hotel»… A HOEtel. That was in equal parts a reference to both the ghetto food AND the ghetto waitstaff. Makes WH look like gourmet.

The food here is alright it’s not terrible but not something I would come back for. The service was bad I got a skillet and it came out with a bed of potatoes and eggs and no meat. It was supposed to come with a large link of sausage and when I asked my server her reply was I don’t think you come with meat??? A breakfast with no meat I didn’t order a vegetarian breakfast and yes it did come with meat after having to go get a menu to confirm then another 10 minutes for it to come out. So yah I’m not coming back and as another person said with our place and I hope just across the road I don’t know why I came here to begin with.

Just like another review on here, if I could give them a zero I would. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. My mom and I were only 12 tables to be served. The rest of the place was completely empty. There were at least three tables with dirty dishes on them that stayed that way for an hour. We were seated by a smoky smelling waitress. Then we were ignored for the next 30 minutes. No one asked for our drink order much less our food order. Then a young scatterbrained lady comes to take our order. She’s hurriedly running around with pockets full length much change, which is so redneck. I can’t even understand why she would be in such a hurry. There were no customers. So finally we get our drink orders and she takes our food orders. Well the food took another 30 minutes to get there. So one hour into our dining experience we finally got something to eat. Why is it that when restaurants are empty, you get the worst service and things move much slower?
Well my mom had asked for double broccoli instead of potatoes. As you can guess that request was forgotten and they brought the mixture of broccoli and potatoes. The waitress acted at first as if there was nothing she could do about it, then after I made this suggestion that she bring her more broccoli, as if this was a request from another planet, she agreed. So 10 or 15 minutes later she brings her this tiny white dish with two, yes I said two, bites of broccoli on it. OMG.
Once again we were totally ignored for the rest of the evening. No drink refills. No «can I get you anything else? «. No «would you like a dessert». The waitress finally brought our bill to us, probably a good 30 to 45 minutes after we had finished eating. We were only willing to wait around that long because we were working on a laptop/​iPhone problem. That is at least one positive thing I can say about this place, is that they had free Wi-​Fi and that’s why we were there. In the future unless we must have Wi-​Fi and nowhere else on earth has free Wi-​Fi we might go back. Otherwise I will avoid this place like the plague. I had read the other reviews and they were all bad and they did not disappoint.

Do not eat here! Food terrible, customer service is horrible! They seat out of line. If I could give them a negative star they would get it!

I would comment on the food but have no idea how it even tastes. Have been here for an hour. Only took 30 min to get our drinks. Have no idea who our server is. No one has introduced themselves. Very very very bad service to say the least. Will never come back here! This place just needs to go out of business so that something more useful can replace it. Like a parking lot.

The food was very subpar and the service was lacking.
Also The cleanliness of the restaurant was very low and I would miss the bus boy what area with a very dirty bus tub. If this location to survive and thrive they need to raise their standards a little bit higher than what they are at the present time.
I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

The only reason I’m giving this one star is that zero stars is not an option. We waited 35 minutes for our food which never came so we ended up leaving. Don’t go here.

With IHOP and Our Place a stones throw away from this traditional breakfast joint, this Denny’s needs to step up to the plate. If they fail to improve they will start loosing enough money that they may actually notice.
Perhaps it is the OFF the Interstate location which makes them so hap hazard on quality control. I don’t know.
I am the Denny’s fan in my house. I like the simple and quick Build Your Own breakfast at a reasonable price. (It’s eggs and hash browns, how much should that cost after all)
But it seems every time my wife goes with me, something goes wrong with her meal. (She enjoys the skillet plates). Hey Denny’s Fresh food in those okay?
It is a fight I am loosing… next stop is Waffle House if you all don’t square away your quality.

I have gone here with family a few times against my will. The reason I do not voluntarily come here is, as the previous reviewer mentioned, the stench of cigarette smoke. Most restaurants, if you sit far away from the smoking section, you are fine since they usually have air filters or something of the like. This place is fogged up, and I cannot stand it. Kind of like a smoky bar, but a dennys.
The service has usually been nice, except for the time an employee parked their giant truck over the wheelchair ramp and blocked my wheelchair-​bound father and I in. After threats of calling for a tow, they moved it.
There are better places to choose in the immediate area.

Te service is good, the food is good, but the stench of cigarette smoke permeates the building. There is no divider between smoking & non, so essentially the whole place is smokey. Typically would not have stayed, but we were in a hurry.
