Atmosphere-roomy with a bar. The radio(country) was on overhead and they cranked it up uncomfortably loud about halfway thru our visit. Service-we were there for an early dinner before it got busy. Our waitress was wonderful and told us we had 10 minutes to take advantage of ½ price appetizers… so we did! Food-My 11 year old son recommended they place(enjoyed it with his dad before). He ordered the BBQ burger and loved it. I ordered the pulled pork street tacos. The were okay. We followed up with the apple pie and ice cream dessert(I had coffee too). That was wonderful! $ 36 for all of it and we both have enough for a small lunch. Not bad.

Ignore this place. Avoid it like the plague. I wish there was a no-star option because giving this place even one seems like a tragedy. Wife and I ate there on 12÷21÷15(I’ll post receipt later) and it was by far the worst experience I’ve had in a decade, if not longer. I was once a waiter so I have been giving 25% tips even for bad service, but this place was so bad, I broke that rule and tipped one penny. We were seated fast, seeing that there was hardly anyone there. I’d guess 8 – 10 tables with patrons, at most. That’s when the trouble started. It took 26 minutes(I timed it) to get my beer(that they have on tap) — AFTER wife already had got her food, versus my wife’s beer which came in a few minutes. WTF? Oh, I should mention, waited those 26 minutes and eventually got so frustrated that I went and got it at the bar myself in about 90 seconds — so waitress never did get me a drink actually. She(Lauren C according to receipt) screwed up my order, not that it would matter because it came out 10+ minutes and cold after my wife’s food(she had fish/chips — I had a simple burger, no special requests). When does it take 40+ minutes to make a burger… when you go to Old Texas Brewing Company, that’s when! Of course, my order came out wrong(write it down if you can’t remember idiot) and so it was another 20 minutes. I’m sure the cooks had it right, just the service was awful. that said, it wasn’t special by any stretch of the imagination, same with fish and chips. I spent literally 2 hours to get fish/chips a burger, and two beers. Didn’t even get to eat much because had to get back because baby sitter was only for 2 hours. The waitress denied any responsibility, saying that they were short handed with only three people on the floor(as if that would be my problem anyway) — BUT I counted at LEAST7 people serving tables. WTF, don’t lie to my face, I know how to count! It just got worse from there. I didn’t call for a manager because I don’t like to leave the impression I want freebies or something. Ignore this place. Avoid it like the plague. Please god, for the the love of all humanity, ignore this blight in old town.

Based on my first experience, great staff! I’m a huge fan of Lakewood Temptress milk stouts and for a local spot to carry it is a real mark of probiding a breadth of quality products to the patron. That being said, I was bummed by the menu. I found its mix of the generic bar and homestyle plates to be far too tame for my tastes. Meatloaf? You’re kidding. Also disappointed that even with 3 small beer vats, no ones fired those up to make their own brew yet. That’s the first thing I would have done when opening. Still, great place and the skybar with heaters is a fantastic touch.

Can’t see why this place is only three stars. Service was excellent(Rachel!), smokehouse nachos and pretzel sticks w queso were excellent starters, and all our entrees were quite good — ribs, big chopped beef, pork chop, burger. Two thumbs up as well for the sweet potato waffle fries w the cinnamon dip — even my kids liked those! My only regret is that I didn’t have room for dessert, cuz those looked amazing.

Chicken fried steak and Mac & cheese are the bomb. I would not recommend the smoked meatloaf! Unless you have no teeth then perfect since it is pure mush. Flies were bad inside — not sure if that was just today or what. Great beer selection Sports on all tv’s.

It’s in a great location, never really had any issues. Wait times could be better and sometimes the staff isn’t always up to par, but it happens. Love the upstairs bar! Probably the best part of the whole place!

Best margaritas I’ve ever had. Brisket nachos are incredible. Pulled pork tacos are beyond amazing. Still haven’t got to try the brisket stuffed jalapeños. I can only imagine how good they are. I look forward to when I can make it back. Hopefully on a Monday so I can enjoy the $ 4 margaritas.

I probably should go here more often. The staff has always been good to us, and the food always surprises me. The stuffed jalapeños are incredible and are always worth the trip.

I would have given this place a 2, but it’s not the WORST… It’s pretty good considering the competition it’s got in this lil area. Beer selection is the best thing about the place, service is okay, but duuuuuuuude… Watch out for those biscuits and gravy at brunch! They are simply gross. Food is subpar, but at least the servers are kinda babes and they have some common knowledge when it comes to beer. Cheers!

Have been here several times now and have tried different items everytime. The jalapeño poppers are seriously off the chain, as well as their pulled pork with any item where you pick your choice of meat. Never get their chicken, every time I have ordered it is very dry. Tonight I had the beer battered cod, which was ok, with come BOMB slaw(very different and very good!!), tarter sauce was different, but blended well and really good, the fries I received were very tasty but also very soggy, which was a total bummer because they were seasoned so well. If you are looking for something to share, I recommend their HUGE nachos with again, the pulled pork! Large amount of food that tastes really good. Drinks are ok. They bartenders do not want to make anything other than what is on the drink menu… which is kinda lame to be honest. Don’t bother ordering a guinness because the only way they know how to pour a beer no matter the type is to set the glass down and and just pour the beer… VERYFRUSTRATINGTOWATCH!!! Other mixed drinks are good though and other beers that are messed up by being poured hard are good too. Don’t expect too much from this place. Bigger hype than its worth. But has a great smell and atmosphere.

Another good place to try brisket tacos. They have some great promotions and appetizers too. They have a prime spot in Old Town Burleson.

I’m giving this place two stars, the sliced brisket was tough, the chicken was undercooked, the beer was cold but pricey … I’ll go back but I’ll try burger next time

So my initial review said this was a clean restaurant. It’s clean minus the 50 flies lurching at my table. It was so bad that 1 flew into my ear. Eww! This place definitely has nice staff. They were helpful & polite. This time around the food was less flavorful(1st visit was only a couple months ago). The fried pickles were good. Then my meal was chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The mashed potatoes were dry and lacked any seasoning. A couple months ago they were full, creamy, and well seasoned(if not almost over seasoned). The green beans were completely bland string beans whereas a couple months ago they were well seasoned italian green beans. Now the chicken fried steak… ugh…completely lacked seasoning and was a little tough. Last time I could cut it with my fork this time I had slight trouble with the steak knife. The batter lacked seasoning & the gravy was bland. I had to add salt & pepper to give it a little flavor. The 1st visit made this place very memorable whereas tonight the food just muddled into every other nonmemorable restaurant I have been to.

I usually come here and get the stuffed Jalapeños they are pretty good. The Briskest is ok, burgers not so good. My meat paddy was dry and over cooked. I have always had great customer service in this place and never had any problems with the staff.

This place is a hit or miss. Restaurant side food is always fast n delicious, service is good staff always checking if you need anything. The bar side is another story service and attentive gets a zero atmosphere awesome but try to get a refill sucks, or even pay your bill, before you get a drink glasses on racks dirty fingerprints n lipstick on them, yuck!

We are so disappointed! It would be a great spot to meet friends for dinner & drinks but the food is AWFUL! Beers are $ 7.50 so it was a huge bust. They don’t even brew their own. I ordered the flat bread and I swear it was a heated frozen pizza from the grocery store– served on a tiny plate that looked to be from a kids menu. It was $ 9.00& gross I was only able to get one piece down. The fish & chips were not good either. Staff is very friendly & I hope this place makes it but come on you have a kitchen so cook your own food & price the beers down.

Ordered the 2 meat plate with 2 sides Brisket was tuff, sausage was cold! Covered in barbq sauce! Green beans were greasy and mash potatoes were dry! Draft beer was the only thing worth ordering again! Not impressed!

We went here with some friends that had been several times before. The food was good! We ordered the Ribeye Steak dinner and the meat was cooked just right. We got the beer battered onion rings and loaded baked potato as our sides, both were good too. The only issue that we had was it was noisy. It was hard to carry on a conversation between the six of us because we couldn’t hear each other very well. However, I think that was just poor planning on our part. After all it IS a brewery… right? There were several good options to choose from on the menu. I would say if you like a glass of wine or beer with a good meal and a lively atmosphere this place is for you!

Almost didn’t go due to previous reviews. Glad I did. Excellent food. Had the brisket and pulled pork, and both were superb. Great beer selection of local and national craft beers. Service was excellent. I was seated quickly. My server Janice was prompt and attentive. Drink was never empty. Gave an excellent beer recommendation. Definitely worth a try. Would have been 5 star, but they don’t brew their own beer so the name was a little misleading.

Great place to grab lunch! We have our local Burleson BNI meeting here every Tuesday. You can’t complain about the service or food. I haven’t had the opportunity to stop on for dinner but everything I have ordered has been great!
