Andrew H Jurow, MD

I like Dr Jurow. He definitely listens to your concerns and tries to come up with a helpful solution. I see him for regenerative medicine and have been for two years now. There aren’t too many MD’s who work with bioidentical hormones so I appreciate that he does. His CMA Laurie is wonderful. His office responds to prescription requests and issues the same day or within 24hrs. He also responds to my email questions or updates either the same day or within 24 hrs. He’s helped me and I plan on continuing to see him.

Dr. Jurow is awesome! I’ve been going to him for over ten years and I find him very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and fast to act when needed. His staff is always nice and friendly and they always make me feel comfortable during my visits. Dr. Jurow definitely deserves five stars!

I definitely give Dr. Jurow five stars!!! He is very kind and caring. I been going to him for 13 years and NEVER had a bad experience. He always makes time for his patients. I’ve had a few procedures which went very smoothly. He is absolutely outstanding!!!

I definitely think that Dr Jarrow and his staff should have five stars.
He is very caring doctor! I recently emailed him about an issue I had and he got back to me that day!
I also had a procedure that I was worried about and he told me to email him while he was on vacation and he would get right back to me so that I wouldn’t worry and he did.
He is a busy doctor but finds time for his patients.
I read a couple reviews that said that he was arrogant… I think they’re confusing this with with his confidence in what he does.
I think he has an excellent staff, being a business owner I know it’s hard to find people that are all caring and helpful but he’s done a great job.

Dr Jurow has been my doctor for over 10 years. He delivered both of my children. My 1^st child was 7.4 oz and my 2^nd was almost 11 lbs. The level of service has been outstanding! His nurse Laurie is funny and very resourceful. The office staff have always been helpful and friendly.

I don’t really understand the negative reviews Dr. Jurow has received. I’ve been with the practice for over 10 years and he is one of the doctors that I’ve seen regularly. In fact, I saw him exclusively during my last pregnancy. I’ve found him informative, good natured and very easy to talk to. And while regular visits are always quick and to the point– I feel that if I had any major concerns or questions, he’d accommodate me. This review is not only based on my «normal» pregnancy visits but also based on when I needed to have a D&C done on a m/​c. During that procedure I found him to be very direct regarding my concerns and questions yet empathetic– which is why I’d recommend Dr. Jurow.

I, too, was surprised to see some negative reviews for Dr. Jurow. He may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he does what he does exceptionally well! I have been searching for years since I moved to the Peninsula from Marin to find a physician with a proactive, preventive bent, and all I can say is Dr. Jurow is a major find! Instead of taking a superficial, let’s-just-treat-the-symptoms approach, Dr. Jurow takes the time and effort to dig and get to the heart and cause of the presenting symptoms. He even uncovered a rather serious thyroid issue I have that no one was paying attention to. Dr. Jurow does his due diligence in a big way and is super passionate about restoring health. I haven’t felt this great in years, thanks to Dr. Jurow! And he takes a holistic approach with the treatments as well! What an asset to the practice he is! One in a million! Would highly recommend him!

This doctor is awful and this office is awful! You are just a number to these people and not a person. I usually see doctor lisa dyer who is ok but good luck with making an appointment to see her. I recently had to see doc dyer and of course she didn’t have any appointments so i ended up seeing doc jurow. Omg, worse doctor I have ever experience in my life! No personality. He is not tactful at all. You are basically a pay check to him. Please do not go and see him. This office awful too. Way too many people. They tell you they will call you but never will unless you leave them a lot of messages or tell them you are dying. very unprofessional office. I am in the search for a new doctor right now. But I will never go back in this office.

What an AMAZING Doctor! I have been seeing him for years, and will keep doing so. He has been so helpful with all of my MANY questions. He is one of the most knowledgeable doctors I have ever met. He comes highly recommended.
5 stars without a doubt.

Very arrogant and raging God Complex.
Avoid this MD! Spend your money with someone who is not condescending to their patients.
Have seen him be rude to his staff as well. Feel sorry for the people working in his office.

Do not use this doc! I found him to be rude, flippant, and lived up to every reason why I never use male gynecologists!
I use another doc in the practice Jurow is in (Lisa Dyer). During a routine ultrasound I was told to go back to the gyn office for «more information». They would not tell me what was wrong, I was handed a sealed envelope to give to the doc. Yeah right! I opened the envelope that reported fetal death. Very upset, I went to Peninsula Women’s Health and found Jurow to be the only doc available. I was sent to his office, he barely greeted me, he read the report and looked up and just said «Bummer». While still dealing with what was happening to me, and processing things (did a doctor just say «bummer to me»?), he said «you want to do this now?» Do what now? Explain what is going on here, jerk! I had to get myself together and ask him the questions that he should have gently explained to me without me having to probe for. (what happened, how did it happen, what are your recommendations, what happens now?, etc.) Apparently he wanted to know if I wanted to walk across the street for a D&C or «wait for later». I just walked out to the front office and asked for the first appointment with Dr Dyer when she was back. When I saw her, she was compassionate, explained everything to me, and presented my options and discussed (key word, I was not told, I was involved in a conversation) a going forward plan. THAT is what a real doctor does. Jurow is just a haircut in scrubs.
Seriously, would you go to a doctor that tells a mother she just experienced fetal death «bummer»!?! Avoid.

Dr. Jurow was recommended to me by one of his family friends, so I trusted the recommendation.
My experience with him from day 1 with my first pregnancy was a big big dissappointment. Our appointment was very brief and hasty (and i definitely felt like a number to him). I felt very rushed in each appointment.
The day I found out about my miscarriage, he recommended a same-​day surgery, which was fine by me, but his staff didn’t even explain to me the process and gave me 3 pills to take 20 minutes prior to the procedure without even telling me what they were!
This is extremely poor service and I will never return to Dr. Jurow.

I love Dr. Andrew Jurow! I am surprised to see some of the bad reviews.
He has been my doctor since 2003, I had 2 healthy babies under his care and both my husband and I always felt comfortable with him. He always takes the time to answer all my questions, and provides clear, direct answers. I have always walked out of his office feeling better than I walked in.
I highly recommend him.

He’s the head of the Peninsula Pediatric Ward, has 6 kids of his own and has been practicing for over 20 years. Great doctor, loved by everyone who works for him. If you want the best, see him.

Neglect their patients. Had a bad test result which took them six months to report to me. Very uncaring and unsympathetic office. I switched over to another practice and viva la differeance!
