Love this salon! Taide, Alejandra, and Andrea are all fabulous! Not kid friendly if they aren’t getting a haircut, but it’s nice to just have a day without kids anyhow! Great food spot right next door also! And bring your quarters for parking!

The whole crew is amazing. I get my hair done my Paulette and she does a great job also keeping my hair healthy. She’s always honest with what can be done and you’ll never leave your chair feeling disappointed. She rocks

This review is for Taide, who did an amazing job on my first cut with her. It had been months since my hair had been cut and she did an awesome job giving me a new look. She listened to what I wanted and made insightful suggestions that were perfect. The best thing is that it is easy to style, as she promised it would be. I get compliments every day on it! I am so happy I moved from my salon in SF to her. Much more convenient and an even better hair cut.

Love the customer service here!!! I’ve never had such a great and informative consultation. I had Lorenzo as my stylist and I love him. Great color and cut. They are stuck with me now. Definitely recommend this place.

This review is for Paulette, but first I want to mention the atmosphere of this salon. This is a cute, little salon that I hadn’t noticed before (I’m always in Burlingame). There is a LOT of natural light, and it isn’t too big of a salon where it gets overwhelmingly full. It’s very bright and welcoming.
In June, I dyed my hair bright purple/​pink (see profile photo), which was fun at the time, but left me with faded platinum hair and terribly dark roots. In an attempt to appear more professional, and for lack of a better word; normal, I decided to try a colorist at Bria based on all of the above-​average Unilocal reviews.
Paulette dealt with my mangled mane, and took it from two-​toned polar opposite colors to one velvety red. I had wanted an ombré originally, but Paulette was very thorough in my consultation, letting me know, politely and with ease, that my hair was just too damaged for an ombré. We compromised on some lighter face-​framing peekaboo highlights mixed in with the all over-​color. She really knows her stuff, because I love the all-​over color/​highlight job. I’m happy that she had the knowledge to talk me out of the ombré look, because I am SO happy with the results of my hair now.
I will be back to see Paulette for my next dye job, because not only is she very kind, she is trustworthy when it comes to hair knowledge. She also styled my hair, and I look absolutely fabulous, just in time for all of my Super Bowl parties. Big thanks to Paulette and thanks to Bria.

Miyako is the best! I got partial highlights and she spent the time to make them thin just how I want them! She also gives me lots of options on highlights and explains everything as she’s doing them. She’s really reasonably priced! Not to mention the hours fly by cause she’s sooo easy to talk to!

I had my first hair cut with Alejandra, and she did an amazing job. I went from long hair to shorter, and she cut it to perfection as now I have the length back and it has grown very nicely. I had color done twice by Miyako who is the trainee at present but she had made my hair color just stunning. Initially I wanted to go black but she and the owner Jennifer recommended I go a darker shade of brown first before I gradually go darker. I am glad I followed the advice, today my hair look’s stunning and shiny. They go out of there way to help you achieve the result’s you want, despite maybe some initial issue’s today, Miyako was amazing to correct the color and made it to exactly what I wanted, superb! I will be continuing to go here for sure. Owner Jennifer is very patient and kind and listen’s to her client’s needs which is very important.

Jennifer is amazing at highlighting hair! I had my hair highlighted once before at another salon and it was a disaster. I was afraid for a while to get it highlighted again but when i decided to try again i looked for a person with amazing reviews so i wouldnt end up with another disaster. I found jennifer and now i will only let her touch my hair for highlights. For a summary she is a miracle worker. When i am trying a new color im always afraid it will be different than the amazing picture i painted it to be in my head. Jennifer has made me lose that fear because she always makes it look good no matter what i ask.
Alejandra cuts my hair and she is by far the best hair stylist i have ever had. I have been through so many hair stylists in my life and for about 4 years i had this hair stylist that was slowly thinning my hair so much it began to look super thin at the ends and unhealthy. I was really unhappy with my hair for a while and hated wearing it down. Finally when i went to alejandra she reassured my extraordinarily unhealthy looking, overthinned hair could be fixed but it would take a couple of cuts (because i wanted to keep my length). I am still in the middle of the process of restoring my hair but it feels healthier and looks better than it has in a long time.
If you want a master team for highlighting and haircuts go to jennifer and alejandra at bria. They are masters of their work.

Bria is such a cute salon. People there all seem to be working harmoniously together; they are down to earth, friendly and yet very professional. Jennifer is the best at coloring hair. She not only listens to what you want, but also gives good recommendation that will truly make your hair look fabulous every single time.
Taide is a genius at cutting hair. I have A LOT of hair and it’s thick and not fine at all. Not many hairstylist know how to work with my hair — they either under texturize it or over do it. But not Taide. She is wonderful at giving me just the right amount of layers. I don’t know how she can achieve taking the weight off my hair while maintaining the voluminous look with natural looking layers.
I would totally recommend their service to others. I’m so glad I’ve found them!

I will definitely be back next time I decide to change my hair style dramatically, they worked me with to achieve my vision and helped shape it into something even more exciting. People of the Peninsula — You do NOT need to go into the city to get great hair! Being something of a hair snob, I spent years driving up to the city, dealing with traffic, paying for parking, and paying through the nose for color and styling at one of the best salons in San Francisco. Past experience had taught me that going to a suburban salon for hair care was the equivalent of going to the Olive Garden for dinner. Sorry, but I’m more of a Michael Mina kinda gal.
Finally, a friend convinced me to give BRIA a try. It turns out the senior stylists here all trained and worked at the fancy city salon I’d been going to. AND they are very hands on in teaching and training their associates. This is NOT your typical rent-​a-​chair place. Everyone here is on the same page, speaks the same language, and has the same commitment to your happiness. AND they are one of very few salons to carry the amazing Kevin Murphy products.
Jennifer is an extraordinary colorist. She has an incredible eye and knows just how to achieve the color and richness you want. She’s a genius at correcting over-​processed hair, so if someone else has done your color wrong, run, don’t walk, to Bria for a fix.
Gina is top-​notch for cuts. She has worked wonders with my fine hair, adjusting my long, layered cut to a medium-​length, blunter style that looks fuller and healthier and suits my small stature.
Lorenzo is also an amazing stylist! He is a doll and knows just how to achieve the look I am going for on any particular day. He really knows which products work best for me and shows me how to use them.
All of the folks at Bria are fun, friendly, smart and professional. Plus, the space is clean, attractive and very conveniently located. I LOVE getting urban sophistication in my home town. Truth be told, my hair looks much better now than when I was getting it done in SF! Savvy city dwellers may want to take the train down to B-​game for a world-​class hair experience — the CalTrain stop is just a block away!
Now, if only we could get Michael Mina down here…

Jenn is the BEST colorist in San Francisco. She does a great job on Debra’s hair and
Alejandro and Lorenzo are the best at blow drying her waist length hair.
She wouldn’t allow any one other than them to touch her hair!

Jennifer has been coloring my hair the last 4 years and she always gets it right. It’s really hard to get blonde hair when you’re a dark brunette but Jennifer is able to get all the brassy tones out and achieve the perfect shade of blonde. It took me such a long time to find the ultimate colorist but I’m so happy I did — love Jen!
Recently, I’ve also started getting blowouts after my color. Lorenzo does a great job smoothing out my hair and giving me a style that lasts for a few days. He always tries new products to help me get the smoothest, shiniest, most fully body look. He’s awesome!
This is the best salon in the peninsula!
And while you’re there, be sure to try the Kevin Murphy products — they’re natural, smell great, and are highly effective.

This salon is very chic and everybody that works there is very personable, especially my colorist Miyako. It’s always hard trying to find a good salon that does exactly what you want. Miyako accommodated me to what I asked for and walked me through the whole process. I would highly recommend Bria Salon and Miyako!

I get my haircut and styled by Lorenzo. I get my Color done by Miyako and these two are simply amazing. I always feel brand new walking out of the salon. The salon environment is very welcoming and fun yet professional. The salon is always clean and the staff is very nice and they tend to your every need. I would not only recommend these 2 stylist but Bria Salon in general without hesitation.

I get my hair colored by Miyako and she is amazing! She’s always giving me more ways to keep my hair healthy since I am trying to become more blonde. Her work is amazing I schedule my touch ups for break the base and highlights with her every month.
The salon is great. Everyone that works there are all very welcoming and sweet. It’s always clean. They all listen to what I want.

I liked this salon, it’s nice and in a good location. Paulette did a color correction for me and she is very sweet and nice to talk to. My hair color was a mess and she did a good job getting it back to one color. I will probably go back.

Jennifer and her team are amazing at getting you the look you want. I had Paulette, who is an incredibly talented colorist. She listened to what I wanted and also gave me great advice on how to keep my color intact. Highly recommended!

It’s a shame I’m having to write this review.
I’ve called Bria salon a couple of time to get some quotes and appointment availability for a blow out based on their awesome Unilocal reviews, and no one seems to get back to me.
Either their not getting my messages, or just choose to ignore it. Hey, I get it, things get busy in a salon. Especially in a high demanding area, but a nice phone call would be nice!
I even tried texting one of the girls a couple of months ago for availability and never heard back as well.
I love supporting small businesses, and this places seems very chic and it looks like they do an amazing job, but customer service whether on the phone or in person is a hit or miss, and this place has been a miss for me.

Bria salon’s colorist, Andrea is hands-​down, the best colorist I’ve ever had!
I took advantage of the many filters Unilocal has to offer to find this place. Andrea is amazing after my first visit she totally won my heart over. Now… I look forward to my visits with her every few months for more highlights. Her work is amazing, and I never leave unsatisfied. She’s consistent, creative and she has a great sense of humor.
The interior is beautiful, besides the friendly and attentive staff. It’s a well lit space that is always kept clean and comfortable for everyone.
I’m so in love with my caramel highlights. Thanks Bria salon & Andrea I will definitely be back. If you’re looking for amazing hair color and an incredible colorist, look no further. Highly Highly recommend Andrea and this salon to anyone!
