I have to agree the pastor taco is among the best I’ve ever had. The carnitas are excellent too!

I don’t understand these reviews. Kind of a dump and the beans & rice were cold and the main entrees, beef & chicken fajitas were luke warm. I do NOT recommend this place. The music was pretty monotonous as well.

Yummy authentic Mexican food! Our new favorite place to eat… Well worth the trip over there. At first glance it seems like a little hole in the wall… But that’s the beauty of it all… Soooo tasty!

Bad service and bad Mexican food. Couldn’t eat my food. I got menudo and it was bad and had that dirty taste. Chips and salsa also were not great. Michelada was huge, but very in impressed. unless they step it up in service and good quality– I doubt they will be around for very long.

I was pleasantly surprised by that. One of the best super carnitas burritos I’ve had in a long time. Seasoned well and very tasty! I like it when you get those crispy bits of pork. The people that work there are very hospitable. It’s a little funky and it’s kind of in the cut a little, but those are sometimes the best places to eat. Lots of parking, and a decent amount of seating inside(a few seats outside too). Looks like it’s catching on with a lot of the workers in the area. I will be checking it out again soon for sure.

On a tip from my girlfriend, I think that I’ve found the best taqueria in the Bay Area. Yup. THEBESTTAQUERIAINTHEBAY. These guys should be packed 24⁄7 no questions asked. I got two of the following: carne asada, carnitas, and al pastor. Those were three of the best tacos that I’ve ever eaten. Moreover, their SAUCES!!! Their Diablo sauce needs to be packaged and sold in every grocery store. Congratulations on 100 reviews and a 4.5 star Unilocal rating as well!!! 2÷9÷2016

Ordered the taco salad with chicken, it was delicious! The chicken was flavorful and not at all dried out. Beans and rice on the bottom layer were really good! Used their green salsa for a dressing! The taco bowl is flaky and buttery and so good!!! Definitely recommend!

The al pastor taco is bomb! The lengua taco was good too. The guy taking the order was not so good. He kept getting distracted with things going around him and can’t take an order. He asks for my order, I tell him what I want(one taco at a time), but then he’s looking somewhere else or just frozen looking down. He then looks up and asks me again what I want… umm…okay… It took me a few times of repeating to order four tacos and I ended up only getting three. Good thing their food is pretty good and it’s close to work.

My husband and I found this place by chance while taking his cousin to the airport. OMG! So delicious! We drive up from San Jose to have it because it’s so good. Were originally from LA so I miss the LA food scene but this is like a little piece of home.

Some of the best tacos I’ve had in awhile! I tried the asada and pastor and they were both amazing, didn’t even need the sauce! But the sauces were also delicious, in case you’re wondering. The workers were also super friendly and helped me decide what to order. An extra bonus… It came with a side of chips! Can’t go wrong. I’m happy I found this place, will be back!

I have been to Diablo’s JJ Taqueria a few times now and every time has been better than the last. The Al Pastor burrito is phenomenal and their in-house salsa is probably THEBEST I have had at any taqueria. Quite the statement I know, but its the truth. However, the clincher(and honestly the reason I’m writing this review tonight) is they are very dog friendly. The person that waited on us, who appeared to be the owner, was so kind to my little beagle. He offered her food, water and a healthy bit of attention free of charge. As a restaurant owner, I imagine its sometimes easy to forget about the furry friends that customers bring along; let their be no doubt about this though, Diablo’s JJ Taqueria will not forget.

As many of the other reviewers have stated, this reminds me more of the street style taco places you find in LA. The place has a nice lively atmosphere, big tvs were playing the games, and each table is pre-set with a pitcher of water, sauces, and silverware. The staff was also very friendly and fast. Overall we enjoyed our meal there a lot and would definitely come back. Complimentary chips and salsa to start. Pastor Taco — yummy! I always get pastor tacos, this one is good, not the best I’ve ever had, but best that I’ve had in the bay so far. Lengua Taco — this one was just ok, it was almost too chewy. Taquito plate — nice and crispy, all the sides were fresh and well made as well. Plenty of parking and right off the freeway. Definitely a place to check out if you’re in the area.

This isn’t my first time at Diablo Taqueria. Jorge and his team are awesome. I’ve ordered from them for our company luncheon. Today, we are celebrating a coworkers bday and decided to come try out other dishes. Chips are hot and salsa was very good. I love the texture and the spiciness is just right. We ordered guacamole to share. Omg, it’s one of the best ones I’ve had. I love that they added a hint of cheese on top. Added flavor and taste. I ordered canaries ala Diablo. Love that there were about 10 good sized shrimps. Served with rice, salad w avocado, and retried beans. The camarones rancheros was also good, so I was told. Also served w the same sides. She finished the entire thing. LOL! Another coworker had Chicken Salad. He said it was tasty and good portion. He, too, finished his food. Sorry couldn’t take pic. He started eating. Two coworkers ordered burritos. Lengua and el pastor. Sure enough they also finished their food. They said food was amazing! One coworker ordered 2 chicken tacos and 2 carnitas. Amazing! Lastly, the bday girl received flan for her bday. Definitely coming back.

New sit down taqueria spot by an abandoned movie theatre with a cool waitress and tasty tacos. 3.5 stars Food: 3.5, Service: 4, Atmosphere: 3 Cost to worth it rating; 4.5(a la carte tacos for under $ 2) Return worthiness: maybe Highlights: — Crispy carnitas: favorite meat I tried — Carne asada: not bad though a bit salty — Lengua: first time trying and was expecting it to be tough but it was so tender — Service: friendly, hilarious waitress egging on the guys I was with. We had 6 people and she rang them up a separately for us. — Parking: no issues here with a big lot — Good salsas: 4 different and I liked the pastel green and roasted red one the best Lowlights — Bit slow: took a bit of time to get our waitresses’ attention to the table. — Breakfast: only served til 1130. Options looked good but no breakfast for lunch available. I’m not a taco connoisseur but I thought the tacos were tasty. Friends also liked the flautas I wouldn’t mind trying.

My first & best taste of menudo. My big bowl arrived with a deep flavorful broth and plentify of yummy beef stomach, a childhood fave of mine. What makes this menudo is special is the nice accompiments of dried herbs, chopped onions and limes. You can make your own perfection. I got my blend just right. And, now Im craving it! My companions enjoyed their meals. I have no idea what that was because the menudo was talking to me. Very friendly staff. Not a fan of their carne asada taco which was dry. But Im seriously considering driving out for another bowl…

This is the place where you get Authentic Mexican food! Everything fresh, great flavors and so delicious. I got the chilaquiles breakfast plate, my husband got their birria(beef) plate, I was so impressed with the hand made tortillas. Quality is high, it really shows they love what they do by the way the food tastes. Service was also great, very attentive and nice. I will definitely be coming back to eat here. ***my only complaint was that I didn’t take pictures of my food, I was too excited***

Diablo’s have some of the best salsa around — no joke. Everyone, except for the orange mayonaise-y ones are on point — smokey, tangy, and spicy. Fantastic! The chips are also great — nice and warm, and free. I got a carnitas burrito — it was okay, not the best. I still think the ones up in the Mission are much better. The carnitas wasn’t grilled enough — I like when there are little bits of crunchy meat. The carnitas in this burrito was very wet and there were some big chunks of pork. Also the refried beans and rice just mushed all together in the burrito. Close by, I prefer the burritos at El Palenque Taqueria. We also got carne asada tacos — they were done well; probably one of the better ones in the area, but not as good as Taco El Tuca in the city or El Grullense in Redwood City. The taco was too wet, once again. By the time we got to our second taco, it was soggy and drippy. That being said, the meat was very flavorful and well grilled. While the food was 3.5 stars, the salsa was probably some of the best around, which is why we are rounding up to 4 stars.

Came in for a breakfast burrito to go. Very friendly and helpful. They pointed me to the fresh salsas and encouraged me to try the different ones. Gave me some chips and water while I waited. Met the owner, nice guy. Tasty chorizo burrito. Can’t wait to try the other items when I return next time.

Walked in to this little hidden taqueria after a friend recommended it to me. First impression was that they have plenty of parking all around. Once we went inside I then realized they were near closing time. It was 7:45pm and they closed at 8, so we asked if they preferred we ordered to go and they said no of course not politely and said we could sit where ever we wanted. They served us salsa and handed us menus and said to take our time. I had read that the horchata was a must so me and my BF each for one. I ordered 3 carne asada tacos and one grilled chicken. My BF ordered a carne asada super burrito no sour cream. Once we ordered we sat only waited under 10 minutes for our food. All the food was fresh, tasty and overall very filling. They put some salsa verde on each of my tacos that I couldn’t have enough of. Once we were done we cleared our table and as we walked up to pay for our food the person behind the counter was already handing us a piece of flan. She was super sweet to offer it and said it was free! Who doesn’t love free flan? It was so good too just made she said! Overall we loved their service and will be going back when craving Mexican food. They were great in all aspects.
