I’ve had such an amazing wedding dress experience here from start to finish. Georgette and her staff have been nothing but SO incredible.
Georgette helped me find my perfect dress and not once did I feel rushed. The alterations were done phenomenally and I just have to share an experience that is so close to my heart and another reason why they deserve the 5 stars.
My grandmother was diagnosed with liver cancer two months before my wedding date. I was so worried that she would never see me in my dress and it broke my heart at the thought of it. I called in asking if I could take the dress for a few hours so I could show my grandmother before she passed away, and Louise made sure everything was ready for me to take home in time. I wasn’t able to bring my dress back in time before closing, but they were more than happy to take it in the next day to finish the steaming process. I am so incredibly thankful for papers and petals for making this possible. My grandmother’s reaction to seeing me in my dress is something I will forever hold dear to my heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We actually had a decent experience shopping here but then again we didn’t purchase. The Unilocal reviews played a big factor in if we were even going to check out this spot but we gave it the benefit and tried it out.
Sales girl was sweet as can be but you can tell the owner runs the show. She was fun to work with, listed to the bride and would have been great by herself to work with. The owner jumped in and hijacked the appointment, which was fine with us but we loved working with the sweet girl as well.
Pushy is definitely key word here. We left with a good experience but see why others warn you so much. It really was in the back of our mind the whole time.
OKAY selection. Feels messy and crammed. Canceled our next appointment and our search continues. …

We walked in and Jasmine was able to help us immediately. I knew it was going to be hit or miss about being able to have my best friend try on her wedding dress. Jasmine squeezed us in before her appointment, thank goodness her 10am was running behind. My bestie found her dress in under 20 minutes. Mind you, she knew what dress she wanted and bad been waiting for it to come in. I can’t give enough stars to this place.

I wouldn’t waste your time here. The place is kind of dark and dusty and doesn’t have much variety to offer. You can’t even really look at what they have because you can’t touch the dresses in the rack since they’ve packed it in.
The associate who helped me was super nice but had no clue really of what she was doing! When planning to drop around $ 1k for a dress that you’re going to wear for a few hours… I definitely want someone who is much more knowledgeable!

One suggestion: DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! Horrible communication, countless unreturned phone calls and on top of that their roof is leaking on all the dresses including the new ones that someone already purchased, so gross!!! I’m so glad I didn’t get my dress there. The owner is rude and not proffesional, she walked away from me while i was still talking to her. All she cares about is how to sell more, she doesn’t care about her customers at all! If you want to add stress to your wedding planning then go ahead, otherwise stay away from this store! Believe me you will thank me later and regret big time if you don’t listen!

I said yes to the dress! I found a brand new design of a dress online and to my surprise, Paper and Petals, the very first bridal salon I visited, had a sample! I wasn’t able to find any other salon in the Bay Area that had it.
I had a great experience with Jasmine! She was so sweet and she’s getting married soon so we had a great time talking about the planning process. I visited about 5 more stores after this but could not stop thinking about THE dress that was at paper and petals. Georgette let me come in a couple more times to try it on again. I didn’t feel too much pressure to buy the dress as mentioned by other reviewers.
Overall I had a great experience. This salon isn’t as boutique-​y as other places I went to but it didn’t matter too much in the end.
Cons: no photos until you say yes. All other salons let me take photos which I preferred since my bridal party is scattered across different states.
One other thing was Georgette rang me up for the full amount of the dress when I told her I just wanted to pay half for now. She mentioned it was because they were switching systems. I thought it was odd since I work in the payments industry but I had the money saved up for the dress any way. She did give me a discount since they have a trunk show for the designer

There is quite a selection of dresses at this location. Most of their designers are from all over the world, including Canada, New York, LA, Europe, but all the dresses are actually made in China. This is probably why it takes about six months for a dress to be made and shipped back here for customers to try on. Alterations take up to six weeks, but the stuff is accommodating to fit the timeframe. The employees here are extremely helpful and fun. I had a really easy time looking for dresses here with my sister. There is also a huge inventory of bridesmaid dresses.
We did not feel pressured to buy anything, which is always a plus when everything else seems so hectic and pressed on time. The amount of adjustments since limitless here, as in you can add button is or whatever to your dress for an adjustment price. I do not see this everywhere I go.

I love not only Georgette, but all of the staff at Papers and Petals. My bridal experience simply wouldn’t have been as good without them. The team was patient and generous with the amount of alterations I was able to make and made sure everything was ready to go on time as promised.
There’s a lot of pressure on brides to have a perfect dress and everyone at P&P knows this and works very hard to make sure you’re comfortable, calm, and having a wonderful dress shopping and fitting process.
Really could not recommend them higher to any brides out there.
