I love Papyrus. These stores always have the cutest stationery and gifts. Even if you don’t purchase anything, it’s still nice to browse their inventory.
They even had a healthy assortment of Kate Spade stationery (not the cheapest) and gifts but they’re always delightful to browse. There are a lot of cute but expensive cards here as well.
They also had these adorable music boxes up front as well.

I consider myself a loyal customer of Papyrus in Burlingame — all of my card shopping is done at this location. The selection is good, prices are fair for the product and the customer service has always been excellent.
Tonight I went in the store at 6:55 P.M. (five minutes before closing) to get a few VERY last minute Valentine’s cards. I was welcomed by Christine, she is the nicest person ever! She welcomed me to the store, asked if she could assist and helped me in locating the perfect card. Her customer service skills are amazing — she told me several times to «take my time and don’t worry about the time». She is a true asset to Papyrus! It’s refreshing to deal with someone that does not have a chip on her shoulder or have attitude.
I highly recommend Papyrus Burlingame!

I love going into any papyrus store, the style of any of their cards is so creative and unique!
I walk by this store all the time and I had to come in. There is always so much to look at and yes they are a bit pricey but from the materials and the paper stock that they use it makes sense. For some reason I don’t mind paying for these pretty cards. They also have some really cool gifts and wrapping paper.

Came here just to look around and wasn’t planning on buying anything in particular. The store is a little cramped to have to be careful of where you walk. The items are SO cute! I wish I could buy everything in this store… if only *sighs*. The reason I only gave it three stars was because the prices are pretty expensive and the store is small, but otherwise great. I didn’t have the chance to interact with the staff so I can’t comment on that. Thanks for reading!

We came here to design and order custom wedding save-​the-​dates, invitations, and thank-​you cards. The options are endless, and Papyrus works with great companies. The problem is that you have to work with a Papyrus person to design the products offered by a company that you never get to communicate with. The third-​party approach is not an efficient model; you cannot easily make changes or get help from an actual artist or specialist. You should come here if you know exactly what you want your invitations to look like (or if you want to pick a cookie-​cutter-​looking option), and you just need someone to do what you say and make it for you (although sometimes they can be inflexible about what they’re able to do with their design software).
The woman we worked with at Papyrus was kind of rude and impatient. I think she had worked with several bridezillas before and was on the defensive the second I said the word «wedding.» My husband almost walked out of the store several times during the process because he was so frustrated with her. She either a) didn’t understand what we wanted or b) kept trying to convince us to do something we didn’t want.
We ended up getting beautiful stationary that we loved because we gritted our teeth and committed to doing all of the work ourselves. I also got used to being very firm with the woman we were working with so we could get what we wanted «No thank you, we don’t want that. We want this.»
We only stayed with Papyrus because we were on a tight timeline and honestly couldn’t find anything better. Then once we had purchased the save-​the-​dates there, we wanted the other stationary to match, so we kept going back.
The stationary was the most painful part of our wedding planning by far. If you can avoid Papyrus for personalized stationary, do so.

I have shopped at Papyrus for years. Their card selections seem to have decreased, as did the quality. I now shop at Hallmark more often. I didn’t have any interaction with any employees besides checkout although they seemed approachable had I needed help. The cleverness had drastically faded with this company.

Low marks for the decline in the quality and variety of the merchandise. In its earlier years, Papyrus featured clever greeting cards with a variety of designs. It was a store that was just fun to explore and you always came out with more than you intended to buy.
Now all the cards are Made in China and they are nearly all decorated with nonsensical sequins, sparkles or other doodads. No more funny, edgy cards. Just junk.

I can’t say enough great things about this specific location! Christine diligently assisted us from start to finish on our Wedding Invitiations. She spent countless hours helping us pick the perfect invite and followed up daily unitl we had the finished product. They were gorgeous and we were elated when we saw them. This Burlingame crew also helped my brother with his wedding invites and they were goregous! I was on a time crunch with my Wedding programs towards the end of the planning and Anabelle was a trooper. Outstanding customer service with a smile. What a great team!

her name may be christine… it’s the gal with trendy glasses (she has several pairs of cute glasses)… she is an absolute DOLL! I LOVE HER!!! she’s a total gem and should travel from store to store and train people on how to provide extraordinary customer service.

Christine help us through the process of selecting our invitations. We walked in knowing our budget and she assisted us in finding a style that fit perfectly into our budget. She also, offered suggestions on how to print and save money. The order arrived early and she contacted us immediately. We would highly recommend Papyrus so you can have the opportunity to work with Christine.

I had only a few months to prepare for my wedding, and I knew that I had to overcome the hurdle of choosing a wedding invitation that will reflect my aesthetic and practical sense as well as that of my fiancé’s. It would be an arduous process, I knew. However, to my utter amazement, it turned out to be such an enjoyable experience that I can attribute to: First, the quality of the invitations we received. Every detail we wanted incorporated was in the final product. Second, Christine was such a great person to work with. When I thought I’d be stressing every so often over details, she literally took the burden (and stress) out of my hands and made it hers, i.e., errors on the proofs that she immediately had the vendor rectify enabling us to stay within our schedule.
Needless to say, my husband and I (our wedding was held two weeks ago) are extremely satisfied with our wedding invitations and the exceptional customer service we experienced.

Papyrus is amazing. The prices are actually really reasonable– especially for card customizations. I’ve been coming here to make our high school dance invitations and Annabelle never fails to help me pick out the font and designs for each theme that we have. They even offer 10% discount if you’re from a school– if you ask! Process is quick and efficient– make sure you come here at least 2 weeks in advance or else you’ll have to rush the shipping! I’ve learned :)

I ordered my Save the Dates and wedding invitations from Papyrus and they turned out to be really nice! Pretty happy with the service and price as well. Anabell and Chistine were very helpful. Great selection too.

The ex loved these girlie frilly things. I do have t oadmit I have to admire the attention to detail, and craftsmanship. However I’m more prone to just hitting the local Long’s or such and picking up occasion cards there.

Received way better customer service earlier this week! I’m hoping that this is the new norm (and not just an anomaly.)

My fiancé and i ordered our wedding invitations here. We couldn’t be happier with them. They look exactly as we wanted them to look like. Christine was great during the process. She was always very helpful and pleasant to work with. We never felt pressure during the process of choosing and ordering the invitations. The proofing process tok a bit longer time than was expected, but they compensated with express shipping. Great service, reasonable price and nice staff… Can’t ask for more!!! Thank you Papyrus:)

LOVE this place! I also love that Target carry’s Papyrus cards, but I do enjoy the store locations much better. This location carries a great selection of cards, gift items and of course wedding invitations. The staff was very nice, but the cards… I love.

Amazing staff and huge selection of cards and invitations. I was overwhelmed by the choices for my wedding invitations– papers, liners, fonts, etc… Christine was patient, knowledgable, helpful and offered great advice. She truly seemed to enjoy her job. Made the whole process much more pleasent and bearable.
