One of thee best places to eat in Burlingame. Close by everything, you can go for a walk after you eat or before you eat. Parking is kinda difficult though because its always busy around this area. Really nice setting and staff is friendly. An upper class diner for sure though.

BEWARE, I really love this place, but unfortunately, they never focus on quality control. Have experienced numerous instances of pick up or door dash delivery with missing items and/or sides. Spoke to the general manager in the past and she says the right thing but never fixes the issue. She also says they have no prior complaints in this area, This cannot be true since I have experienced 5 instances this year. I have years of restaurant experience and have never seen gross mismanagement at this level. Owner needs to fire the GM and hire someone that cares and has the skills to manage this properly. OWNERBEWARE!

This place was not good at all. My boyfriend and I ordered the strawberry Belgian waffle and south of the boarder. The Belgian waffle could’ve been better. It had only a few dollops of whipped cream and a couple of strawberries on top of a soggy waffle. South of the boarder was eatable I guess. Potatoes were tasteless, but I love how thinly sliced they are. The tortilla they used wasn’t my favorite. Also, the service was a miss. It seemed like there was only one waiter on the whole floor running everything, when there were actually 3 or 4. I am not coming back here, I’ll save my money for Millbrae Pancake House!

COOL, FUNKILY-DECORATEDRESTAURANT /DINER THATHASGRACEDBURLINGAMEFORGENERATIONS. They specialize in breakfasts, but offer a diverse selection of entrees and sides.(Some restaurants with a wide selection don’t do any of them or many of them very well. I have never had that problem at Stacks.). Very tasty food, reasonable prices, and very nice, friendly staff.

First off beware of the food here. Make sure there is no hair in the food! Check food for miscellaneous items that was never asked for in your food. I ordered chicken apple sausage. So why would it come with chorizo in the and crumbled on top of the frittata? Your guess is better than mine. And the server was no help she questioned everything like we were stealing from the restaurant for the request of having my food given to me correctly. If you have Sugei for your server just asked to be moved to another section she will be no help to you. She will just look at you like you’re an idiot and she is incompetent in her job, she can’t do the basics in her job. Thanks to the manager for helping us out because your server can’t give good customer service or even serve her tables. Maybe we should focus on consistent customer service, cleanliness of be health awareness and consistency!

We were extremely disappointed with the food and service we received today. There were just two of us so we moved the two extra place settings to the edge of the table after they didn’t remove them. They stayed on our table the whole time. I guess they will be used again and they could just wipe half the table clean after we left. My frittata made with«whipped eggs» and chicken apple sausage was very dense. I expected it to be fluffy but it was not. It was bland and tiny, about half an inch thick. The sprinkled on cheese tasted like plastic. The South of the Border breakfast enchilada was pretty good but we’ve had better Mexican breakfast specials at other places.

Their banana macadamia coconut pancake is bigger than my head! Came here for Sunday brunch and surprisingly, there was not as long of a wait as I imagined. Stacks is always packed every time I drive by. Our wait was about 10 minutes. What I ordered: — Banana Macadamia Coconut Pancake: the name says it all and there are two big pancakes. There was no way I could finish this but it was so good! — Crab Omelette: mouth watering and this came with a small cup of fresh fruit and hash browns. There was a hefty amount of food, which you’ll see in my pictures. I recommend calling ahead of time just to find out how long the wait will be before heading over. Stacks is definitely worth the try for those who love to do brunch!

Had brunch here with some friends on a busy weekend morning. Seating was full, but after a short wait we got a table. Everything tasted really good, our server was attentive, and last but not least banana Macadamia nut coconut pancakes were awesome!!! Coffee stayed refilled and we enjoyed a leisurely conversation during brunch and we were not rushed to leave, which made for a nice breakfast experience. Go eat at Stacks!

My family loves this place. My dad used to take me when I was a little girl, and it’s just as good as I remember. He used to wake me up at 6:00am on a Saturday morning just to get some breakfast, but I always left a happy camper. And now, my own little family does as well. First off, the parking is kind of difficult, and Stacks can develop a bit of a line on the weekend, so plan ahead, and I suggest getting there early. As for the service, they are always so attentive and in a chipper mood, as all breakfast places should be. Last time I went I got the Mexican Omelet, and my husband got the Huevos Rancheros. Mine was delicious, but my husband has a great hunch for always ordering the right thing, and next time I’m going to get what he got. What’s also good are the Banana Macadamia Nut & Coconut Pancakes. South of the border is also bomb! I especially like their home potatoes that they serve with their breakfast entrees too. I always finish mine and then steal some off of whoever is sitting next to me’s plate. :)

Earlier today bf & I decided to come here for Brunch! We come here every so often since we rotate between Stacks, Millbrae Pancakes & Kitchen Story in SF. Today I decided to try their Friday special which was a Raspberry Pancake w/a side order of potatoes. Bf got the banana macadamia short stack since it’s usual of his. I’m not too fond of the banana nut pancake though, halfway through my mouth tends to feel dry and it gets hard to chew all the fluff. 10 – 15 mins for food to arrive. In the beginning we both wanted water, and the guy comes in with coffee and one water. I didn’t want the coffee but bf just took it anyway. My raspberry pancake was unusual yet good! It comes with a raspberry compote which is like the syrup for it but I stuck with maple because the compote was too sour for me but bf loved it. The raspberries are basically cooked on top of the pancake and not mixed with the batter like I expected. It was quite good, but dry by itself. The potatoes are like shredded potatoes with onion and a few other things. I like how they do that instead of hashbrowns to change it up a bit. On the side plate of potatoes though, it comes with two slices of tomatoes and some green onion on top which is just nothing new, probably for show. Our meal came to about $ 28 which isn’t that bad for bottomless coffee, short stack of macadamia nut pancakes, single raspberry, and a side of potatoes. 12PM on a Friday today had no wait as well. Surprisingly because we usually wait 20 – 30 mins just for 2 people.

So I was informed that today is National Comfort Food Day per my fellow Unilocal Elite friend so I decided to go to Stacks for some comfort brunch food. Everytime I’m here, it’s usually hit or miss. I can’t say there’s one solid thing I get here that’s always good cause most of it tastes pretty average… until today. I decided to try the Crab Frittata and Banana Coconut Macadamia Nut pancakes. The pancakes were super dry, such a sad day for pancake lovers because I was expecting so much more from these. The Crab Frittata however was actually really good! They use real Dungeness crab and the avocado and tomatoes on top pair so nicely together. Overall, I won’t order the pancakes again but I’d definitely order the Frittata again. Service was good and the wait wasn’t too bad at 1:00pm. Reason for 3 stars, the Frittata is probably the only thing id get again. I’ve gotten the scramble before, the pancakes are clearly dry and my friends steak and eggs looked meh.

Had a great experience here. Our server was a taller guy, pony tail and beard… He was moving around his area quickly but slowed down and was completely attentive, polite, informative, etc. every time he came to our table. We were also heading to the airport right after breakfast and running a little late. I mentioned that to the staff and they took care of us, which was really cool. I had the Mexican omelette and a single banana macadamia nut and coconut pancake(because my brother said I had to try it.) I have to say though, this is not the place to add extras. The omelette itself was way more than I could handle, let alone the potatoes and perfectly toasted bagel it came with. By the time I got to the pancake I was unmoved, but I couldn’t tell if it was because it was just«okay» or if it was because I was so damn full that my tastebuds were on strike. As a side note I should also mention that I gained 6 pounds on this two day trip and this meal probably accounted for a third of that. With that said, I’d do it again in a heart beat. Try it or Diet Final Word Try it, and make sure to come hungry or plan on splitting something.

WARNING there is a bit of a wait and make sure the lady writes your name down. Waited for about 40 min then went to ask how much longer and she looks at me and says, I remember a Mona but I don’t see your name, don’t worry your the next one. Ok got seated and ordered and took about less then 10min for the food to come out. So I ordered what I’ve been wanting to try and has been hearing about this Banana macadamia coconut pancakes(short stack) which I was very disappointed. So all the hype about this pancake was not worth it, But it is what is it. I wouldn’t get it again, I should’ve went for the French toast. Also got the Egg Louie(2 poached eggs, hollisaise sauce, spinach & crab on a English muffin) that I would get again!

Banana wheat germ pancakes *dies* Get the short stack if you’re a girl, the tall stack was too much. Oh and their iced tea *comes back to life and dies again*. You have to go to see what I mean

I’m a sucker for brunch, so I’m always down to try new spots. My niece wanted to come here after a day @ the Toms annual warehouse sale. I ordered the crab scramble(per request, only the omelette was on the menu, but per server, any omelette can be made into a scramble). My niece got the apple & sausage omelette, and we shared 1 raspberry pancake. On the menu, my crab scramble should have came with chives, but I got green onion instead. Not much flavor in my scramble, lacked any creativity or flavor. My entrée came with a bagel, but mine was burnt around the edges. My potatoes were delicious tho. My raspberry pancake was the special, and it tasted great. Nice and fluffy, with raspberry purée mixed in. The container of syrup that they brought to the table was watered down, I poured it quickly thinking it’ll come out nice and thick, but it came out like water. Whoops… Overall, the environment is very cute, has an outdoor feel without actually being outside. Multiple garden paintings on the wall, along with real(or fake) vines of leaves floating along the wall. But I have had better brunch places… Unfortunately.

Great service and lotsa food. The waiter came over to our table four times before we were ready to order and was decently attentive throughout the meal as he checked up on us twice plus a third time to give us the bill. It was a busy Sunday afternoon(noon exactly) so they mighta wanted to push us a bit to order but they were nice about it.

Solid breakfast place, more on the fancy side than the hole in the wall side. Ordered the Pancakes(stacks) and the Reuben. Reuben came out with fries and a veggie bowl. Quite Good. The taste itself of the Reuben was solid, I would definitely get it again. The Pancakes were good. Nothing too special but definitely worth getting. I would come back and try other things.

I was looking forward to eating here. It looks beautiful, and we got to sit outside under the umbrellas. Definitely a gorgeous ambiance, but the food itself wasn’t that great. This place is great if you want HUGE portions. You get quantity, not really quality. There is a huge breakfast and lunch menu. Great to satisfy whatever craving you have, whether it be breakfast or lunch food. Came on a Saturday late morning. I was wondering why there was ample seating outside(and inside) then later figured out why. I liked that they have outside seating under umbrellas. It’s next to a small driveway off a main road, so there was a decent amount of car flow passing by, but not anything exuberant or annoying. I liked too that they left the coffee dispenser and pitcher of iced water on the table for us. First, they have clear coffee mugs. Just not a fan of this. Ordered the BACON, EGGS, POTATOES and BAGEL — just $ 9.99! The bacon was okay, crispy how I like them, but definitely processed. As in «processed» processed. It didn’t look like a fresh cut of pork belly and it wasn’t all crinkly curvy, so it made me question how fresh it really was. The eggs were scrambled, and I highly doubt they were organic eggs but I ate them anyway. The potatoes were cooked like home fries, good, but didn’t taste fresh — would prefer to have fresh herbs on them too. And the bagel was blah. I ate ½ of one side of the bagel. it was very dense and not enjoyable to eat. Also had some of the TALLSTACKPANCAKES. It looked too yellow for its own good, and the flavor was blah. Consistency was. chewy? undercooked? Didn’t really taste fresh. Can’t say I’d come back unless I wanted to just enjoy a cup of coffee outside or something. The server was nice but
