Talbots is the epitome of conservative, New England «classic» clothing. If you imagine what Maria Shriver and Caroline Kennedy might wear on the 4th of July in Hyannisport, you pretty much have Talbots.
Why do I go there? Well, at a little shy of 5’1, petite clothes are really my only option unless I want to spend my life savings on alterations, and Talbots has a nice petite selection. But who am I kidding? I also lean towards the preppy side of things.
Prices are what you might expect from a moderate store, and they only have things marked down when they have a sale several times a year. Otherwise everything is full price.
