The Cut

Cool guy with a super cool barber shop, filled with awesome sports and music memorabilia. My husband loves going here and I don’t mind going and waiting for him with so much to look at in the shop. I almost wish it was a bar to hang out in. Tony is an awesome barber and an asset to Burlingame. He’s talented, professional, timely and has competitive pricing… not to mention just a great guy to talk to. Don’t go anywhere else!

What a shame!!! I have short hair. Needed it cleaned up on the side and back, like ANY guys haircut and the guy would NOT do my hair. I didn’t want any frilly bs! Standard cut. I see a ton of pictures of the same cut I want.
Told me to go to XL Salon next door. I don’t need to pay 80 $ for a freaking dudes cut.

Tony is great. I had tried other barbers and salons in and around Burlingame and they wanted double what Tony charges me. Great guy, great barber, and super glad that he’s around to cut my hair.

Tony is just one or two words to said HE is «THE MAN», I do retail sales and Tony has please me cutting my hair for a few months so far and I WILL NOT CHANGE HIM AT ALL!!! So to all the guy who needs a barber call this guy and set up a time He is GREAT!! Oh and by the way I call his place «THE MAN CAVE» is a place for «GUYS», Thank you Tony

Been on the lookout for a good barber on the peninsula for a few years now… finally found one. Tony is top shelf.

Tony is absolutely the man. Its great that he is back in action after a terrible motorcycle accident. He is a great guy to talk to and gets the job done in a timely manner.
For the ~2 years he was gone he had a woman in there holding the place down. While I am grateful because without her there would be no Cut, she was terrible and unpleasant. Good to see the Cut back to in true form!

I started going here about a year ago when I moved to the area and wouldnt go anywhere else. Tony is the man! Great haircuts, convenient location, and very reasonable prices. Definitely call ahead for an appointment if youre going in on a Saturday.

Glad to see my man Tony is back! True skills at cutting hair, and a nice guy to boot. If there was any fault with the shop, it is that there was not a good «back up quarterback», or second chair. But Tony is worth a try, my first cut with him, I wasn’t specific enough, and wifey said I should go back to have him shorten up the sides??? Whaat? To me, it looked good, but I dutifully went back and Tony was especially cool about it, and he did the touch up. He really wants you to be okay with your cut, he graduated at the top of his class, and he takes pride in his work. And YESSS I did look better! And Tony remembers what you like and has me looking like a champ since then.
P. s. only four stars cause I don’t want him to get TOO popular!?! Naah, he will still fit me in, so give him a try if you are in the area, phone reservations, or just walk in…

I started coming here 6 weeks ago and I guess Tony just returned for service and he’s great. Just got my second hair cut from him the other day and I’m very happy with it.

Tony is back! A great guy and a very talented barber. I went to Tony for 10 years prior to his unfortunate hiatus. Again very talented and great person you will enjoy going to see. Good to talk to and hang out with besides just a great a cut. Agreed with the other reviewers, the folks that were minding shop while Tony was out were terrible. Almost ruined his business, but I promise go back and you will be very happy with the results!

Tony is back and better than ever. Lively chat with an excellent, time efficient haircut. I missed him the two years he was out of commission. I could never find a barber who was good. He now cuts my son’s hair, too. It is becoming a family tradition.

I can’t talk much about their haircutting skills because I couldn’t get a cut there. Today I stopped on by simply to get the back of my neck trimmed (no more than a 2 min job) and there was two barbers — only one of which was cutting hair. I asked if I could get a quick cleanup on the back of my neck — I was begrudgingly told that they didn’t have time. I reminded them I only needed the back cleaned up… rudely he responded back with he didn’t have the time (HE WAS SITTING THERE DOING NOTHING!). This place sucks — wouldn’t go back even if they DID have the time.

It is hard to write a review because I never actually got to the haircut. I walked in expecting to sit down and wait my turn, but the «barber» wasn’t having any of that. I was told in very certain, very grumpy terms that she had someone else coming in after she was done with the person in the chair and when I was very impudent and asked when the next appointment might be, she have a loud, audible sigh and flopped over to the appointment book.
I didn’t realize I was putting her out so much. After a few moments she fired off a «well, can you be here at 10am tomorrow???» Having ‘can you be here at 10am’ barked at me from someone I am going to give money to in a down turn economy quite frankly pissed me off, but I stayed cool said ‘no thank you’ and walked out.
This is a snooty salon, not a barber. I work too hard to drop a single dime in this place and would advise against getting a haircut here.
