Good food, wonderful service. Didn’t like the host, who wouldn’t give us the table we wanted, but nobody’s perfect

Biggest breakfast menu I have ever seen. Crab Cake eggs benedict was perfect. They were easy about adjustments. The english muffin was fresh and fluffy. The crabcake was flavorful and rich. The hollandaise was spot on. Came two days in a row. If there is a line, go across the street to the mall to kill time. The wait is worth it and the staff is so friendly. enjoy. #getburlyinburlington

Super old school diner with a line up on the weekends and friendly staff who move it along quickly and serve up piles of deliciousness. I only went once but my friends went both mornings when we were recently in town, they loved their waitress, and the super affordable classic breakfasts. I ate some kind of delicious mish mash of homefries, bacon and veggies and it was soooo good. The coffee was diner bad, but they just keep giving to you so that’s lovely! It was great, I’ll be back.

Generous portions, friendly wait staff, and unique menu offerings make this popular establishment well worth the wait. I had the Philly steak omelette. The meat was plentiful and the eggs were fluffy. The biscuit was larger than your typical biscuit and served warm. Friends who ordered the Hungry Henry were not able to finish their meal due to its sheer size. Bottomless coffee was a hit with the coffee drinkers and the price was very reasonable for the amount of food we got. This is a Burlington staple for a reason, with many locals and college students enjoying a warm atmosphere. Retro tunes and décor complete the classic diner experience and keep you coming back for more each time. Parking is difficult but there are meters across the street which take credit card. Be careful! Some of the meters across the street are only for 20 minutes at a time!

I have lived in Burlington many years and gone to this diner many many times but this last time will be the last. I arrived around noon alone and asked to sit in a booth and waitress refused stating its for groups and I pointed out the place was pretty empty! After rolling her eyes she sat me at the booth and asked another waitress to serve me! Really I almost felt I did something wrong! This new waitress was pleasant and even apologized on the others behalf. I ordered my food and asked if the beans could be taken out of my meal and they did. I finished my food and was about to leave a tip when the first waitress rushed over to receive it which made me angry so I walked over to the waitress that actually helped me and put the money into her hand and thanked her. Yes the food is really good and made fast but wow they need to get rid of that one girl with a horrible attitude and for that reason alone I will never go back.

I’ll admit to loving and frequenting diners but this is a rare find. Impeccably maintained diner established in 1925. Fifties music pumping, awesome food and the friendliest of wait staff. A must visit when you’re in the Burlington area.

My friend and I wanted to dine at Penny Cluse, but it was 35 minutes before they could seat us. «I’m hungry now!» I said, and off walking we went. We decided on Henry’s diner, and it was certainly the best decision. I ordered the Vermonter skillet, and I haven’t ordered anything else since. Each time I go back it is my go-to with toast. That and a coffee is 12 bucks but worth it. I can’t wait to take my new husband there!

I had never been here before went for the first time for lunch and figured I would try the chicken gyro. We got our food and the first thing I noticed was a long black hair sticking out of my gyro. I showed it to the waitress and she was very apologetic and brought it back to the kitchen. A few minutes later I got a new gyro it looked better at first but after a couple of bites I found another hair. The waitress handled it very appropriately and offered me something different off the menu so I went with a sandwich it was decent not anything special so overall the fact of having multiple hairs in my food is why I am giving this place one star but the waitress deserves a few more stars for her kindness and was compensated for a few of the items on the bill.

Loved My burger and cheese fries, and liquid cheese wasn’t used!!! Great waitress and my burger wasn’t $ 15 like most of the places right around the corner. Love great diner food. Hopefully you’ve all gotten the hang of your new register.

A perennial favorite whenever we come to town. Really nice to see awesome veggie options here. Service is friendly and courteous as expected. I had the veggie skillet, two eggs over easy, with homemade biscuit. Nicely prepared, and delicious. Vermont coffee company coffee also very good! A great preparation for a day of strolling around town!

I HAVE to recommend the Hungry Henry breakfast. SUCH a great deal, and delicious, delicious, delicious! There is a wait, but that it completely understandable, and don’t have to stand around — you can go get coffee down the street once you put your name on the list. Totally made me feel like I was in the Hilary Duff version of «A Cinderella Story». I would absolutely go back if I find myself in the Burlington area again, and 10⁄10 recommend that you do, too.

We ate here twice this weekend. No waits(amazing!), & the food was as perfect as it gets for a diner – skillet vegetarian scrambled eggs, the Vermonter skillet(two fried & corned beef hash), then today pancakes & sausage and a Belgian waffle. Prices were good for this part of the world, and the atmosphere was great, as was the service both times. Well worth it!

Really quite good! We wandered around Burlington this weekend, on what happened to be peak fall foliage weekend, so lots of long waits at restaurants. There were quite a few people milling about outside Henry’s but we found out the wait for two seats at the bar was only 20 minutes. We stopped in the Patagonia store while we waited and passed the time quite nicely. Breakfast here was delicious. I didn’t order off the menu but they were very accommodating. Typical diner food, except with REAL Vermont maple syrup –can’t beat it! The skillet breakfasts are yummy, too! corned beef & hash with onions, topped off with melted cheese and sunny side up eggs. Pancakes are good, too! Don’t let the long line deter you –if you can manage a moderate wait, it will be worth it!

Tried to go to the Penny Cluse, but the line was forever long. Tried Henry’s on a whim. No wait and the food was great! I loved the diner feel and the staff was pleasant. Pricing was not bad too. You should definitely check this place out!

We used to go here for breakfast once a week when I was visiting Burlington, and will now probably go a few times a month now that we live here. No frills, lots of classics on the menu. I usually go for some sort of combo plate and everything is cooked to order with a smile. This most recent time I got the Vermonter: a little cast-iron filled with hash browns, corned beef, melted cheddar, two eggs the way you like, and toast(or, in my case, English muffin). It was the first breakfast I had after a hellish day of travel and I still couldn’t finish it! Very friendly service, decent coffee.

I like this diner a lot. You wouldn’t know that this diner is larger than it looks until you turn the corner and see more tables. It has a retro vibe and put together with care and careful planning, you could tell. I had a great breakfast of eggs over easy with mushroom and sausage, with a glass of oj. They delivered my particularities well. I personally could do better, thus could not give it 100%. Well done.

We came for the amazing reviews. We left with a less than medicore experience. Breakfast was terrible. Also… never ever ever ever order the fruit cup. Blech.
