What a breath of fresh air for Burlington’s new north-end! We had been meaning to give this place a visit for a while, but with a new baby we just couldn’t make the time. Well, we finally gave it a shot for my wife’s birthday. And we’re really glad we did! We arrived for dinner on a Tuesday evening around 6pm. It was at about 50%-capacity and stayed that way the whole time we were there. The space is really nicely appointed. It’s modern, comfortable and quiet — a restaurant you’ll want to spend the whole evening at. At least, I did. We only had an hour though, so we got right down to business. We shared an order of the Bruschetta to start. Even when sharing, it’s a very generously-sized portion. The flavor is fantastic — very fresh, sweet tomatoes and basil atop a crispy, crunchy garlic bread. The perfect appetizer. We ordered a pizza to share with half Eggplant & Fungi and half White Anchovy & Olive. They got one of the halves wrong, but truthfully it didn’t matter — it was all absolutely delicious. If you’re having an appetizer, one pie is plenty for two — we left with one slice to take home. For drinks, we had a glass of red wine and a fantastic locally brewed double IPA, the name of which I don’t recall — but I’ll be getting it again! Service was friendly, quick and efficient. For the quality, the prices are surprisingly reasonable — about 60% of what you’ll pay downtown for similar quality and quantity. This is likely to become a regular local spot for us. Bravo!

Must say my order was ready when I arrived for pick up. For the pizza, delicious crust, light, thin and tasty. But for a veggie pizza, where were the veggies? Especially, when you order that specific pizza to showcase a veggie. Some slices didn’t have any! Ordered an antipasto too. Tasted fab but skimpy amount. I am torn about returning. I think restaurants should always go a little extra more for takeout. That way, the at home discussion will be more favorable. This is a case of less is NOT more.

Wood fired pizza is a favorite of mine, so I went here with my boyfriend a while ago on the recommendation of my mom, who works in the same shopping center. We got a pizza they don’t appear to have on their menu anymore, it had BBQ sauce and some kind of beans on it. It was excellent. The service was wonderful, will definitely go back sometime when I’m home.

Great service! Even my Dad who is picky loved the pizza. We shared ½ chicken cordon blue and ½ white anchovies and olives. Must try! Can’t wait to get take out. Amazing crust with great flavor. We finally have a good place to eat in the NNE. The chairs are very comfortable too.

Special Brussels sprouts were delicious. Great beet, arugula pizza with a fine drizzle of honey. My date loves the pepperoni. Always nice wine and beer selections.

5+ stars for food, hospitality and service. The owner was super welcoming(locals — she should be a spokesperson for Burlington!). Our waitress was attentive without being over solicitous. The pizza… best we’ve had in a long time! Worth the drive to the North End! Give it a try — you won’t be disappointed. P. S. our service dog was as welcomed as we were.

Best pizza north of downtown. There is something about the pizza crust that makes it so good!

Best pizza I’ve had in a long time! I can’t wait to go back and try all of their specialty pizzas! The service was very good and the food arrived quick. The open style dining area doesn’t give much intimacy or pivacy but the décor and style are beautiful and it’s a very nice atmosphere. I’ve been recommending this new brick oven pizza to everyone I know. Please try it you won’t regret it! Very affordable as well.

Great food, atmosphere and local craft beers. Antipasto was stellar, and the pizzas… phenomenal. Absolutely loved the chipotle and honey(with bacon of course!). I can’t believe I waited so long to try it.

Came here with some friends. Great atmosphere, very laid back. All local beers. All of the wood work was done by the owner himself. It really shows how much love and care was put into the place. For starters we ordered the Caprese salad, definitely something to share with others. Then for our main menu, we ordered two pizzas, the first pizza had half Brussel Sprouts with Truffle Oil(added bacon) and the other half Chipotle & Honey(added chicken) per the owner’s suggestion. The second pizza had Loaded Potato and Ham & Artichoke. All of it was delicious. And lastly we had the smores pizza for dessert… GOGETTHESMORESPIZZANOW. You will not regret it. Same dough as the pizza but left a little bit undercooked, drizzled with chocolate and mini marshmallows with graham crackers sprinkled over the top. Overall great experience, great people, will definitely be back.

My wife and I ordered the gluten free crust pizza and were very impressed. The crust was thin, tasty, and held together very well, unlike many gluten free crusts we have tried elsewhere. The service was very friendly and helpful in answering all of our questions.

Great beer selection, even better pizza. Order anything with pepperoni and you won’t be disappointed! The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable whether I went during the week or when I went on the weekend. I’ve been there for a date night and with a large group. Service was great. La Boca is quickly becoming my favorite local restaurant in the NNE.

My husband convinced me to give this place a 2nd chance after my less than enthusiastic initial review. I’m glad he did. We ordered the same cheese/marinara/toppings as last time, but this time it was well baked and much better. Happy to see a good crowd out on a snowy evening — it’s nice to have a(non-sports bar) gathering spot in the NNE.

What a gem of a place. The antipasto was out of this world. La Boca is the best dining experience on North Ave.

My husband and I went last Saturday night and had a wonderful dinner. The service was spectacular! Katherine was kind, helpful and attentive. The pizza was good, nice flavors and the crust was delicious. Good beer selection and cozy atmosphere. Great addition in the NNE. Would have liked fresh ground pepper on the tables. Looking forward to my next trip.

Ok, so I have only been here once, but the pizza was truly delicious. I ordered the special pizza, chicken Cordon Bleu. It had chicken and gorgonzola and ham and cheese of course, no sauce and was incredibly savory. I really wish these guys would get an online presence so ordering take out would be easier. There were some couples and families there but I thought it was a little quiet inside for a Friday night. The staff was very nice. The menus are pretty interesting, clearly focusing on being a pizzeria and doing that really well. Very locally(and really local!) focused for any VT foodies or foodies from elsewhere who like that. The interior was a little industrial for my taste but maybe you need that to offset the heat from the oven which will certainly be cozy as the months get colder. The bar is beautiful, all different colored woods and the staff proudly noted the owner had made it. I will definitely be back but it would be easier if you guys could get the website up!

Nice joint for the NNE, we certainly needed a classier pizza joint and La Boca fits the bill. Good selection of local beers(some brewed just up the street) and wines to pair with your pie. I have an allergy and they kitchen was able to accommodate with no issue since everything is made fresh, food was delicious! Hopefully their presence convinces other quality restaurants that the NNE is open for business!

La Boca is a welcome addition to the North End. Everything is prepared fresh and there are a TON of local options. The food was awesome. The chef knows how to mix amazing flavors together. The Saltimbocca is so flavorful. Our waitress recommended the perfect local brew to accompany our meal. It was impossible to decide among all of the incredible flavor combos. The ham and artichoke was fabulous. Who knew you could enjoy pizza without sauce or cheese? A wonderful local place and I pray they are successful! Try it, you’ll love it!

I was very excited to try this restaurant, as it is very close to my house and I am a huge fan of wood-fired pizza. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. I am writing this review knowing that the place has only been open for a short time… so am still hopeful that they will get it together. Beer selection was great, which is why I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1. We ordered the chicken saltimboca appetizer… at $ 7 I would have expected a lot more. The appetizer consisted of 4 tiny bite-sized pieces of chicken. It was probably one chicken tender total. It was completely overcooked and dry. Was not impressed and would not order again. We ordered the supreme pizza. We waited well over 30 – 35 minutes for the pizza, and there weren’t too many tables. In addition, the waitress never came to check on us during this time, to ask if we wanted a new beer, nothing. Anyway, the pizza finally came out. One entire side of the pizza crust was completely black/burned to a crisp/inedible. The rest of the pizza dough was completely raw. We sent it back to have them put it back in the oven. The waitress mentioned something about the weather(temperature??) having something to do with the dough not being fully cooked. When it came back out, it was still raw. The manager(who never came over to talk to us) offered to buy our beers for us? No offer was ever made to make us a new pizza? We asked to have the pizza removed from our bill since that was what we were unhappy with, and they obliged. It seemed very strange to me that they wouldn’t have offered to make us a new pizza. We literally took 2 bites out of an entire pizza. Anyway, I am sad to say I will not be coming back here for at least a few months until they figure out what they are doing. At $ 18 for a pizza… I would much rather go to American Flatbread.
