Liz @ Middlesex Framing is totally amazeballs! I’ve come back to have quite a few different types of pieces done here. She stocks a huge variety of frames and mattes, including a surprisingly large selection of ready-made frames. Liz is super friendly and has a great eye for helping you go through all the options and selecting frames/mattes, and explains things like all the glass or acrylic plexiglass types and spacers when not using mattes. She definitely knows what she’s doing, and also knows her conservation background well. In addition to the typical framing jobs, she has helped me save some antique and vintage pieces after acid-matte and water damage, and then she recently did a fabulous job framing an embroidered fabric. Love this place!

Service is helpful and they have good taste. I’ve been a couple of times and each time, I love the job. Prices seem on par with other places (there is also a groupon occasionally). Both times, the job was done later than they said but I wasn’t in a rush. If you need your job right away, I would make it really clear to them.

I visited Middlesex recently with a large project in mind and lots of questions. Liz was extremely friendly and willing to help me find the right kind of glass for the 20+ gallery pieces that I’m framing. That store has a huge variety and my experience there was great. I’m looking forward to returning with my next framing projects.

Liz is awsome! I have had many pieces done here and I knew the price going in (although some pieces were expensive but that was because I chose expensive options).
Work is done perfectly and Liz could not be any more friendly and helpful to serve her customers.

I trekked all the way out to Bedford for a frame store that turned out to be «closed for vacation.» Thank God this store was only an exit away! Framing can get really expensive, but the owner here worked with me to get exactly what I wanted under my budget, and they did it while I was waiting.
Super friendly people too. An awesome local business :)

Gotta love local businesses! Yes, the mega stores can often provide a better price point, but cannot match the level of service and custom work of the independents! Middlesex framing is such a place. The owner, Liz, has a significant array of samples, allowing for either a posh or budget look to your favorite piece of art. The price was right and, after looking in vain in Michael’s Crafts, found EXACTLY what we were looking for! An extra bonus… the framing shop is right across the street from one of our favorite markets… Trader Joe’s.
