Kitschy little place… just feels inviting as soon as you walk in. Nothing stuffy, fancy, or over the top. The plaid wing chairs in the corner by a bookshelf beg you to take a small, cozy moment with some amazing food and good tea and coffee. Myer’s is quintessential Vermont. The bakery items are to die for… If you are lucky enough to catch a sighting of the lavender or chocolate bouchons, snap a couple up immediately! Love this place, it’s a hidden gem.

I usually don’t write on Unilocal about a single food item, but feel compelled. I had these while visiting my daughter in Burlington and I am hooked. These are hands down the best bagels in the world. Get the Montréal spice. covered in herbs. just the right amount of crunch and chewiness. Now, how are we going to get these to me when I move to Cali?!?

My favorite bagels in town. Some folks don’t dig the Montréal style, but I think it’s perfect for sandwiches. They offer brie as a cheese option and Nutella as one of their spreads, it’s like they exist just to please me! The staff is fantastic, always reliable and friendly, and the additional baked goods by Barb are not to be missed!

update: The sandwiches were AMAZING. We went to a few new breakfast places in Winooski on a Saturday morning and were told it was an hour wait(!!), so decided to come here instead. After a short wait in line and then maybe 5 or 10 minutes sipping our coffee, we had two incredible bagel breakfast sandwiches. I got the lox with tomato and red onion, and Andrew got the(Something) Pig, a chalkboard special with super tender and saucy pork loin heaped onto his bagel with other goodness. Service was ultra-friendly and seating was manageable even with lots of other customers. Thank you, Myer’s, for saving Saturday morning for us. :)

Montréal Spice for the win! I also love their caprese or just plain butter!

Best bagels I have ever had. They aren’t NY style which surprised a lot of folks who try these. They’re Montréal style so they’re not as chewy. That being said they’re amazing! You have to try the Montréal Spice and the Rosemary Sea Salt bagels. They do great sandwiches with cream cheese onions capers and salmon. They also have good breakfast sandwiches with eggs and bacon. It’s tucked away in a little industrial park so it’s kind of hard to fine but really worth finding it.

This place can crank out the bagels. But not just any bagel; step aside Einsteins. Take a hike Bruegger’s. This is the real deal. We hit it up on the way out to a hike and I only wish I could’ve had two bagels. I got the Montréal Everything(I guess it’s special Montréal seasoning?) with jalapeño cream cheese. I don’t know what Montréal seasoning is, but on that bagel with the cream cheese that included real pickled jalapenos? Yeah, I’m a fan. They don’t skimp on the cream cheese either. Glopping mound on my bagel. I actually scraped some off(only because it was NYE and I was watching my weight. Hahaha). They had sandwiches and meal deals and drinks and all sorts of other things, but we only grabbed a bagel to go. There are tons of bagel flavors and several types of cream cheese(rosemary, even). You are assured to find a flavor combo just right for you.

Myer’s Bagel Bakery is an unassuming café with coffee and Bagels. I’ve never had a Montréal Bagel so I don’t know what to compare it to. What I do know is this bagel was unique compared to what I’ve had in the past. And I liked it! Where NYC bagels are big an chewy, these bagels are more of a tighter not and maybe a little crispier. I ordered a Winter Solstice with the choice of a Montréal Bagel and I it had a juicy brisket topped with scrambled egg and mozzarella cheese. It was delicious, I loved it, thin and doughy with a nice beefiness. I had some nice Vermont Roaster Coffee to go with it while I waited. The bagel takes its time to be prepared and you get it nice and hot and fresh. Overall, I loved the experience. If you’re around Burlington, go here get your Bagel fix!

These bagels are the real deal. All of the bagels looked absolutely amazing, but the Montréal spice bagel is where it’s at. Toasted to perfection and with the perfect amount of cream cheese, I won’t soon forget these. Would definitely come again if I lived in the area

Myers serves a Delicious small-size, Montréal-style, flavor-packed bagels with great sandwich fillings such as juicy half fatty brisket or egg, bacon and ham bagelwich. Highly recommend! I got the breakfast-style bagelwich that had sprouts, ham, egg, bacon, cheese accompanied with Natalie orange juice. Juicy, springy ham, crispy crunchy bacon was perfect in the morning. Great pick me up. K got the Winter Solistice: half-fat-half-lean brisket, topped with a mozzarella slice and scrambled egg. Ok– the brisket was amazing and delicious. This alone would be perfect. I could have done without the scrambled egg. The mozzarella didn’t add much to the sandwich but it was a great brisket sandwich. Overall, it was a great time catching up with an old friend, good food and spacious seating. Clean facilities. Will definitely go back.

I love all the different flavors of cream cheese they offer. They recommend that you freeze the bagels within 24 hours but I think that end ups making it taste not so fresh. The bagels are little bit smaller than normal ones. They are very friendly here and I like how it’s next-door to a thrift store.

I’m sorry Myers. I don’t love you but I like you well enough. I know I’m super in the minority here but their bagels don’t blow me away– they taste slightly mass produced to me. I feel horrible saying that because the people who work here are so friendly and nice but I’d rather spend my money at a place where the bagels and cream cheese are flavorful. 2 stars for the food, 5 for the service.

Montréal spice bagel with veggie cream cheese is king, but a close runner up is the cranberry orange bagel with maple cream cheese. Oooo, or even better– just get both and share with a friend. Or eat them both and don’t share. And also get a homemade poptart. I’m a bad influence.

Lovingly referred to as a «college breakfast party» by a neighboring biz. Spoke in reverence, with a bite. Speaking of bite, the earthy, heavily seasoned product at Myer’s are getting freshly churned out throughout the day, and their small but scrappy Montréal-style density offers more chew than your usual bagel. And you better believe the rosemary & sea salt nugget is caked top and bottom with the aforementioned flavorants. Gums, be forewarned — herb slivers are real. While she went the plain/plain route(bagel/cream cheese, that is), I took the rosemary baddie and stuffed it with lettuce, tomato, and house-made chicken salad. Thigh meat, easy dressing — The Causeway($ 7) is a fresh and light lunch option. I feel the true test of a half dozen with specialty shmears with the same quality would likely yield the fifth star. So… stop reading and drive to Burlington. Thankssssssssss.

Vermont has a few awesome places to get bagels, but Myer’s is by far my favorite. They’re the only bagels I can eat dry. That’s how good they are. But they’re great for sandwiches too! They also have good coffee so it’s a great stop to grab breakfast to-go(but there’s seating there as well). The Montréal Spice flavor is my favorite, but you really can’t go wrong. Highly recommended!

These bagels are legit. I especially like the sunflower and sesame seed bagel on a breakfast sandwich. They have good coffee too. You can feel the heat of the oven as soon as you walk in, and watch these guys make that chewy goodness. Bravo guys

Wood Fired Bagels? Gluten Free options! yah i like bagels a lot and trying to cut out the gluten means eating a lot of mediocre frozen weird bagels and then we stopped in at Myer’s and their GF is pretty close to a real glutenous bagel. Fun little bagel shop run by nice people! what more could you ask for?

YES! One of the tastiest meals I’ve experienced in Vermont. After a little pre-trip digging I found that Myer’s needed to be at the top of my itinerary. Why? Well, have you ever experienced a Montréal bagel? No? Me either. They’re eggless, dipped in honey and fire roasted all at the off-the-beaten path Myer’s Bagel Bakery. According to one of the owners, they make thousands of bagels each week with flavors like the Montréal Spice(very popular in Unilocal reviews), onion, everything, blueberry, raisin, and a few other more creative varieties that were out by the time we arrived. BUT! What wasn’t out was the Montréal Spice. Let me tell you something: you MUST order the Henchman sandwich — it had ham, an egg, gruyère, bacon, sriracha, tomato, bean sprouts(added spinach too!) and it is one of the best sandwiches I have had the pleasure of demolishing. I wanted to make love to that sammie.
