Cursive Coffee will quickly become Burlington’s newest hidden gem. Literally. Housed within Barge Canal Market, an antique store and hidden gem in its own right, Cursive serves up the best espresso I’ve ever tasted in Vermont. Following in the minimalistic footsteps of Handsome Coffee Roasters, their no nonsense menu features espresso with three options for milk amount as well as an outstanding cold brew. Cappuccino and latte fans will rejoice at how well-crafted these cups of espresso are. The steamed milk and foam were expertly poured and was well-balanced with the shot. The two guys behind the counter were great and nice to chat with. Micro-roasting is the newest trend in coffee today and these guys are doing it right. Roast on!

Ordered a cap and it was done perfectly. Right amount of milk and beans were delicious. If you are picky about your espresso based coffee, this is the place for you.

I’m trying to quit drinking coffee because I get headaches if I dont have a cup every day. But, because of Cursive Coffee, I can’t. The espresso made by Jim and Sam at Cursive is easily the best espresso in Burlington-probably in all of Vermont. I love cappucinos, so that’s my go to drink. If I couldn’t tell what a good cappucino tastes like I would still think the drink was amazing just because of the latte art. But, I like to think I have a good grasp on great coffee flavor. The cappucino is so subtle yet bursting with flavor and the milk is perfectly steamed. The two come together in an award worthy combination. If you like coffee, and you haven’t gone to Cursive yet, you are missing out. Cheers!
