I had two orders of spring rolls as my meal: They were good but the«peanut sauce» was a huge disappointment: just Hoisin with a scoop of crushed peanuts. For my very pregnant peanut sauce craving that was the point of the meal, it was a total buzz-kill. On the other hand… My husband’s phở was very tasty. Service was prompt and polite. Important to Note: Beware if you have an allergy or aversion: the menu doesn’t say that the spring rolls are made with shrimp.

I crave the Phở here! I always make sure to stop in for a bowl when I am in the area. Décor is pretty basic but the service and value is great.

Nice portions and great food. Saigon Bistro is one of my favorite downtown restaurants. Polite and speedy service too. The layout is kind of basic but isn’t it always the hole in the wall spots that have great food. But, the restaurant is clean and the staff was great. Phở Dang in Winooski is another excellent spot — great food and prices. These two are in my top 10 Burlington cheap eats list. Saigon Bistro is better set up for a larger group though. With Phở Dang, I only do pick up. Parking on College Street nearby usually works out too if you’re driving.

We are getting a ton of new Vietnamese restaurants in Burlington, VT, but none are as goo at Saigon Bistro. This unassuming little spot off the bustle of Church Street is always quiet, consistently good, reasonably priced and crazy delicious. I have NEVER been disappointed to eat here and have even gotten quite a bit more adventurous about trying new things. This time I tried Phở for the first time and I feel like my life was maybe a little incomplete before. It’s a great spot for groups and they are always so nice and happy to answer any of your questions. I love it here, it’s probably my favorite downtown restaurant now and that’s saying something.

The perfect bowl of phở. So many right elements: Crispy tofu. Lively, dainty, clear but warming broth, supremely fresh vegetables and al dente noodles. Honestly, it’s way better than any phở I’ve phound in NYC. Also, the woman who served us was a total doll. Great for a casual lunch, fast dinner, or to introduce kids to healthy Vietnamese cuisine they’ll love. Give them your business now!

Very reasonable Vietnamese food, we had shrimp stick appetizer(OK), vermicelli with shrimp and pork(OK) and the chicken phở(very good). Portions were generous, and the service was friendly though slightly on the slow side. It’s definitely not fine dining, but was clean and comfortable enough. Would go back if in Burlington craving Asian food.

A great spot. Unpretentious… the focus is on the food. And a great value, considering the location in downtown burlington. Nothing will prepare you for the icy winds blowing off Lake Champlain as well as this place’s soups.

The balance of Saigon Bistro’s delicious, vegan-friendly food, good service, and very reasonable prices put this one over the top for me. Our server was familiar with the needs of vegans and was careful to point out which menu items had a veggie base option. My tummy is healing from a tough time so I went easy on myself and didn’t order my usual rich, spicy, saucy dishes. I shared veggie spring rolls with table companions and ordered tofu-vegetable phở. Wow! The bowl was more like a deep trough and the flavors were wonderful. It came with a side plate of fresh bean sprouts and basil leaves on the stem. I sampled my tablemates’ tofu pad thai and it was among the best I’ve tasted. I sometimes find that dish boring, but I would consider ordering pad thai at Saigon Bistro. We shall return.

Best Phở I’ve tasted between Vermont and Washington DC. Really great!

So after a nice couple of days in Montréal, we stop in Burlington for a late lunch. I decide to order only one bowl of Phở and two appetizers and a drink, having been gouged by the parking situation in Montréal, I really felt broke… Montréal now have meters that have to be fed on Sunday’s too! At 25 cents for five minutes, I felt eviscerated after only three days there. Anyways just as well that I ordered only one Phở for two people, it was ok flavor wise, but the size was about one third of a regular sized bowl in most of the other Vietnamese restaurants! The appetizers were reasonably tasty, the limeade pretty good. Will give them another chance maybe next time…

Great place for phở in the Burlington area. However, the portion size for Phở is a little smaller than compared to Phở Hong out in Winooski. Saigon Bistro though does have a seafood Phở which Phở Hong does not.

Prices here are outstanding. The while lobster is $ 17.95! This place is FARSUPERIOR to the other 3 Vietnamese spots in Burlington. The food is twice as good!
