Always fantastic. Great food, fantastic prices, and incredible service. My parents came out from Chicago and are big into Vietnamese food whenever they can get it, and all three of us had no complaints. The #23 is my go to thanks to a recommendation from an amazing regular, and I will continue to go back.

If your looking for a well priced meal(in terms of both quality and quantity) then look no further. I have gone here 9 times with friends and collectively we have had half the menu. We have never been disappointed. The number 28, my personal favorite is fantastic. The restaurant itself has a warm cozy feeling in the eating area with a fantastic pot of tea with every meal. The wait staff is stylishly dressed(no uniforms) making you feel as if your over a friends house for dinner. The clientele they attract reflects this warm vibe. Overall you cannot go wrong just watch out for a Dangover afterwards.

The food is pretty good here, however, I would choose Phở Hong 5 minutes down the street any day. The restaurant is always dirty(floors, walls etc). The container of utensils, fish sauce, hoisin and sriracha on the table is always filthy and makes me not want to use them.

Um. Delicious! We arrived just in time to get a table, it is a small intimate restaurant with a great waitstaff and absolutely delicious food. The serving sizes are huge and the soup is great. Can’t wait to go back!

While the food is decent here the service and experience was bad last time I went in. We were seated at 10 after 9PM and the restaurant online says it closes at 10. Our server let us know they stop serving at 9:30 so we quickly chose food and ordered. We received our food by 9:20/9:25 and started eating as the restaurant began to empty out. Some of the employees were eager to get home and began closing the restaurant –putting up chairs around us and even mopping with a strong chemical bleach scent not allowing us to enjoy our dinner. We had barely begun eating when this happened and the server along with the rest of the staff seemed indifferent to our experience. I cannot recommend this spot. I recommend Phở Hung on N. Winooski Ave. because at least the service is better/respectful if you order closer to closing time.

Love this place! Fast, friendly, cheap, and delicious! A must visit. Get the Chicken Phở, Sweet Potato Curry, or the Beef Lemongrass. The spring rolls and egg rolls are to die for, as well. Okay, it’s all good. Go here!

Not mention the crowded place. It’s the best taste restaurant I’ve tried around Burlington.

The place had a constant flow of customers(both dine in and take out) and I can understand why. The food was very flavorful & affordable. I ordered pad Thai with tofu. I was extremely happy with everything except the tofu. It seemed hallow and soggy. I also tried my boyfriends massaman curry which has an excellent coconut curry flavor. The furniture isn’t the cleanest, the chairs are stained and the tables had some residue left on them from previous customers, but the food is really tasty. If you can understand this type of restaurant I suggest coming here or ordering out.

So far I have not been impressed by Burlington’s offerings. Phở Dang was one of those. I generally like my phở special with every gross piece of offal coming from the cow… well I guess I finally found a phở I did not like. Also the place is small and dingy, not that it has ever been a deterrent for me, but this is a below average Vietnamese restaurant.

Love this place! Used to frequent in college! Just went back again last night and it was all I remembered. The #2 summer rolls and #21BBQ pork with vermicelli and fried spring rolls are both amazing.

I like this place. Not my favorite Vietnamese in the area, but very good and conveniently located just up the hill from Winooski town center. They have a small seating area, do take out and the people behind the cash register are always friendly.

Sad to say I think the quality of this place has gone down quite a bit. We ate dinner there and the ceiling was literally covered in flies. Im not talking a few flies, Im talking at least 50 flies. Nightmarish. I hope there is a big change in how its run because otherwise after that experience I wont be back. This is sad because Ive loved their Phở for years now!

Back for more! This time I tried #33 Hu Tiu Mu as a noodle soup, instead of the stir-fry I previously tried. It’s really good as a noodle soup, but I think I prefer the stir-fry version. Maybe it’s the flavor created from the stir-fry process, the flavor of the crisped up edges. The flavor punches more in the stir-fry. Also, the pork is different. In the stir-fry, there a cut pieces of solid pork meat. However, in the noodle shop, the pork comes in the form of slices from a round-ish processed pork log. Still love this place, but might love some of the other dishes more.

This place was packed for lunch! A bit divey, but clean and packed to the gills with people and I can see why, I ordered the #31 pork chop with rice and egg and it was quite good. Service was quick too. I’d recommend this place and I’ll likely be back to try the Phở’ and fresh spring rolls. A Note on the seasoning: Though quite good, The seasoning on the pork chop and in the sauce was different than other Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to. The chop seemed to have been marinated in only soy sauce versus the usual fish sauce, lime, garlic, and sugar(and sometimes lemongrass) marinade I’ve typically seen. The side of sauce seemed to be fish sauce, water, sugar, and a teensy bit of vinegar vs the usual lime, fish sauce, water, sugar, and green onion sauce I’ve usually seen. So, if you’ve had Vietamese before, you might find this a little different.

Hole in the wall restaurant with super fresh ingredients and tasty sauces. Loved it. Cheap eats, but good eats! One waitress handling take out orders, the inside restaurant, and outside seating area. Hats off to you — you are a star.

The food here is great! Everything is under $ 10(except the occasional shrimp dish) and it is guaranteed to fill you up. On my last visit I had Bun Ga Nuong Cha Gio(#14); Vermicelli noodles with chicken, egg roll and sauce made from the gods(can’t tell if it was the greatest thing I had ever eaten or the fact that I was starving). Despite the delicious food, the atmosphere is less than ideal. First of all everything is sort of ‘sticky’ and doesn’t feel like it has been cleaned too well. The staff is family run which can create some awkward situations when the daughter is yelling at her mom(?). It makes the experience a little unpleasant. Next time I’ll order it to-go so I can enjoy it from a more tranquil place.

The original is also the best! This place has the best phở and the best flavors in town for Vietnamese food. Great phở and bun noodles! The service is very good. It is a bit small and in a rather older building. Sitting outside in the summer is great! Usually you have to pay at the counter. I have never had a bad meal here. Great food!

I think my bowl of phở was actually very good, and the broth was bursting with flavor. They put a lot of meat in it and it tasted very authentic. What I really disliked though was the domestic dispute going on right in front of us. It was unprofessional and awkward. I think one of the employees(possibly the daughter of the owner?) was late and there was a lot of shouting going on. I don’t think employees should ever display any kind of hostility in front of their customers. Another issue was that everything was so sticky! From the minute we walked in, I could tell this place was going to be dirty, especially when I saw a giant fly hovering over the table. My hands would stick to the sriracha/fish sauce bottles, and I just didn’t feel comfortable using them. There was also an employee who was sweeping the floors while we were eating and she was going around our feet. So weird.

Phở Dang is the perfect place to go on a cold or rainy weekend! The atmosphere is very homey and small. I got the curry special with chicken and noodles which was $ 9. The curry was very good and the portion was large. It also comes with carrots and potatoes. It was very delicious and I felt like I was eating healthy. It tasted great. I know this is a phở place but I have yet to get phở here. Every Time I come here I get the amazing curry. I gave this restaurant four stars because even though the food is great and the service is quick, the tables are very small and not that clean. You cannot fit all the food on your table which includes the complimentary tea. Also the establishment is very small so if you are going there on a weekend night be prepared to wait for a spot. I think next time I am going to get the Phở!

I would give this 3.5 stars. Cheap, consistently good, and yummy. I’ve been here twice and had the #5 phở with every beef cut. It has been consistently good and tasted exactly the same as it did last time. They do add a little onion, which I do like. I like how they serve you free tea as soon as you get there. Phở Hong should be listening to taking that into consideration. It’s so nice to have on a cold winter day like yesterday. Parking is easier here and I like the intimate setting. The waitresses do wait a little too long and I had to almost tell them to come when they weren’t that busy. However, that’s a small thing. I wish there were more appetizers and desserts here, but overall, I can see myself at Phở Dang often. I can’t wait to try more of the non-phở menu items! P.S — I tried my friend’s massaman curry and it was a little on the sweet side for me. I wish it was spicier, but massaman isn’t really spicy to begin with. It was still good, the potatoes were cooked well and the chicken wasn’t too dry.
