This place is hit or miss. If you go to Jenni, you’ll get a 5 star result. Unfortunately, my experience this time started with someone else. I had never been to her before but they were busy so I went ahead. I told her only a clean up I like my brows fuller. She seemed to be taking a lot off so I asked her to stop so I could take a look. Instant tears. She took SO much off it looked like my one eyebrow was surprised! I was devistated and Jenni took over. She noted that they were in fact messed up and did my other eyebrow. I just pray it all grows in ok. If and that’s a very slim chance I’ll return I would only go to her. I have two different shaped eyebrows smack dab on my face! Super awkward too for everyone else there that she took half my eyebrow off. Very surprised the next for stepped in to have hers done, I would have been out the door!

My wife would frequent this establishment. She came home today in tears because they took off half of her eyebrow and then they have the balls to charge her for it. I had to go back and twist arms to get the money that she did not need to be charged in the first place. If you care at all about how your eyebrows look don’t visit this place.

I get my lip threaded about once a month and recently moved to Burlington. This is the first place I have gone to for threading thus far! Pros: close(for locals), low wait time, quick service, can use a credit card for small amount. Cons: more expensive than I was hoping to pay for upper lip($ 8). I plan to go to In Style Brows in the Holly Hill mall next time to compare service since the prices are different. Update — In Style Brows is same price(at least for lip), but with an Elon ID you always save $ 2.

I live between Manhattan and Burlington and sometimes have a period of time between visits where my eastern european roots don’t agree with the time lapse so I had to seek out for somewhere here in NC. I can say I’m pleased. I have always had bold eyebrows and most times I’ve gone I’ve been satisfied but a handful of times I’ve had too thin of brows but because my hair grows so fast and thick it generally isn’t that concerning to me. The salon is very clean and they’re very friendly of staff. I’ve personally never had to wait but also have had times where I think I just may be lucky because as I had my service started I witnessed 4 or more people pile in waiting. My only annoyance I would say is EVERY single time after the technician finishes my brows. never fails to ask if I want my upper lip done… when I confirmed know there’s absolutely no hair there as I’ve had all hair permanently removed in the past so pretty much is just trying to gimmick more money out of the service. when generally I always pay in cash and it’s fairly overpriced already. Other than that can’t complain!

I’ve been to this place a few times before, but my visit today is prompting me to write my first Unilocal!review. It is very simple and clean here. At the most, you might wait a few minutes during a busy time. They have three chairs and three different women that are all very pleasant. The one that I believe is the owner does a great job. The woman I had today I can almost guarantee is new to threading. I haven’t seen her there before, she was working alone today. She was very tentative yet harsh at the same time. I’ve been getting my brows threaded for years and it’s never hurt as much as today. They still hurt. I asked her to just clean up the strays as I don’t like them to be too thin. She did more than just clean up the strays, so much so that I have a few bald patches(probably only noticeable to me, but still). My brows are also now uneven at the ends. This place is also rather expensive at $ 12. That bothered me in the past, but I ignored it because it’s convenient. I don’t think I’ll be returning after today though.

The salon is very clean and the girl did a great job on my brows. Their prices are very reasonable.

The first time I went here the lady did a perfect job on my brows. It was my first time threading. I didn’t have to come back until about 9 weeks later. She took her time, set me at ease, and my brows looked great. However, the second time I went here I walked in to see a different lady and she did a terrible job. I kept telling her that I wanted her to use some makeup remover to take off where I had filled in my brows a little bit so she could see my natural shape. She didn’t do it. Then she rushed the job. I didn’t see until I got home that I had so many stray hairs left. At the end she didn’t even tidy me up with some witch hazel or anything. I asked her for a cotton ball with witch hazel on it(which the first lady did for me the first time) so I could disinfect and soothe my brows. She said«it’s better without it,» charged my card, and ended our transaction. I think I’ll look for another place for my third time with threading.

What an absolutely awful experience. I specifically told the woman to leave my brows full and clean up the strays. She ends up over threading them completely. My brows are now too thin, sparse and unflattering for my face. I have light brows to begin with and have been working for a year to grow them in thicker. She completely ignored my request and sabotaged my brows. But that’s not even the worst of it. She insisted that I had a «hairy neck» and needed to thread that too. I assumed she just meant my chin area, and said«okay.» But no – she actually tugged my neck and started threading it. It was extremely painful and I asked her to stop. Next she moves the thread up and starts doing my sideburns! I told her I didn’t want my sideburns done and to please stop. She stopped on the left side but said that she had to do the right side now to make it even. I had no idea what it looked like since I was laying down in the chair and grew increasingly nervous that she was ripping hair out of my head and that my hairline would be lopsided. It hurt so bad that I was in tears. When I went to pay I noticed she had charged me $ 55. I intended to go in for an eyebrow and lip threading that should not have cost me more than $ 30. She charged me for a full face threading that I did not want. I paid just to get out of there — I was in tears from the pain and completely frustrated. BUT things got worse when 5 minutes later, my neck was covered in itchy red bumps like mosquito bites. I assume they are a result of irritation from her yanking the hairs out of my neck. It has been 3 days and the bumps have not subsided. I am putting calamine lotion on and taking Benadryl to cope. I will never go back here.

There aren’t very many eyebrow threading places near campus. I just happened to find this place by chance while I was visiting my local TJMAXX for some therapeutic shopping. I’ve been here twice since the beginning of the year and just LOVE Ping’s work. I just had to tell her once what I wanted, just a clean up– because full brows are in these days. She keeps it natural and clean. The facility is really clean, plain, simple.3 chairs, 3 artists. not much to it go on their website and print out their monthly special coupons. my only complaint would be that it’s kind of pricey.$ 12 for eyebrows. i’m used to $ 8-$ 10 back in Cali. but the coupon should knock down the price. Jenni is the manager– really sweet lady. both times I didn’t have to wait more than 2 minutes(and they were both walk ins)
