There’s a reason this place had over a 45min wait. the food was great! I got a mac n’ cheese burger which included cheetos and mac n’ cheese on top. It was cheesy, crunchy and fantastic! My brother ordered the meatloaf, who orders meatloaf at a pub? Well, he was glad he did. He said it was delicious and not over cooked at all! We also ordered onion rings and a giant pretzel. They were both huge! The onion rings(shown in picture) were big slices of onion perfectly fried, and the pretzel was larger than my head. I would definitely go back whether it’s just to stop for an app, or to go all out for a big dinner! My only flaw I found was that this place wasn’t big enough to accommodate the crowd! more people want good food!

First time, maybe the last. Place was dirty, floors filled with crumbs and popcorn. Got to the table which was dirty, why would you seat people then came back to wipe the table. Waiter forgot my refill x2. I flagged some random lady down to ask for napkins and silver ware. Food was ok, much like applebees and chilis. Canned bbq for the ribs. Free popcorn is nice to munch on.

First, I will say this place is kind of a hit or miss. I’ve been here over a dozen times and I’ve had really great service, and then I’ve also had very rude servers as well. Same with the food. Some of their menu items are amazing(the Philly cheesesteak, the wings) and then some are not so great. The lucky rolls have little to no buffalo flavor, and they strangely come with an Asian sauce. All in all, I’ve had more great experiences than bad. I do hope they get rid of some of the snotty waitresses. I recommend their bloody marys!!!

Lucky 13’s food quality and service is so consistently outstanding! One of our favorite places to dine after shopping or a movie. Don’t be afraid to wait in line for a few minutes, the staff is efficient and the wait is usually short in time.

Solid eatery overall. Gotta love complementary popcorn. I ordered the Cuban sandwich which was pretty good although the ham was a bit too salty and the bread was a little hard. If I could give half stars I’d give this place 3.5 stars but I’m feeling nice so I’ll round up.

First time here and from how it looked from the outside it look like the place to be. Me and the wife ordered burgers, which were amaze balls. The Mac and cheese is super good. The environment is awesome the drinks are very good and they are not stingy with he alcohol. Definitely coming back for sure.

Nice servers, fun atmosphere. Got the Reuben Sandwich with a cup of French Onion soup first time coming here. Soup was delicious! Reuben was okay. The second time coming here I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. I asked the server if it was sweet,(not a fan of sweet flavors.) He told me, «Not at all.» So I was all in. Our food came out, as soon as it was placed on the table, I could see what looked like caramel or jelly oozing out of the bread onto the plate. Apparently the pulled pork is served on apple fritter bread. Soooooo richly sweetened, I had to take it home and throw it away. Not sure how the waiter mixed that one up.

Amazing food horrible service. If the food wasn’t so darn good I don’t think we would ever go back again. It was the first time my fiancé and I went to Lucky’s as we just moved the to area. Just as our experience was there were mixed reviews but decide to give it a shot. I had the phillies cheese steak and my fiancé had the cheese curd cheese burger. Both were outstanding but we only saw our server on 3 occasions. Once to get our drinks and order(same visit given it took them about 15min to get to us) once to drop off our drink, someone else brought us our food, and lastly to give us our bill. He was fairly friendly but seemed more interested on opening up the table vs giving us the pleasure of dinning at their place of business. I am not 100% sure if we will go back, maybe order out.

I really liked the atmosphere of this place! I went around halloween time so they had some pretty intense decorations. They really put you in the holiday mood! When we got there, we were told that it would be 30 minutes until we got seated. It was very crowded. Something happened and they sat us in about 3 minutes. Our service was excellent from the start. The menu was actually overwhelming. There were like 50 things on it, or else that’s what it felt like. I’m not one who takes forever to order but I took forever to order. So many things looked fantastic. They even have soup/salad or salad/sandwich deals, although when getting the combo, they limit your options. I ended up getting the balsamic chicken mozzarella sandwich with basil on ciabatta. The sandwich itself was good(specifically the mozzarella and basil), but the chicken was maybe half an inch thin and there was barely any balsamic in there so it was pretty darn dry. I still ate all of it cause it was good enough. My fiancé got breakfast which had cajun sausage, hollandaise sauce, eggs, potatoes, and so many other delicious things. It was fantastic! Someone else on our table got a salad and she loved it. She actually ordered the wrong thing but they were nice enough to bring her what she actually meant to order. I don’t remember what everyone else got but everyone seemed to like their food. I LOVED the bathroom decorations. They had damask wallpaper :). They also handed out free pull tabs every time the MN Vikings scored. That was pretty neat! My fiancé won the lowest pull tab(I don’t actually know how to refer to them because I’ve never played a pull tab before), so they gave him another pull tab as a prize. I will go here again but I would order something else. It was very crowded and the food wasn’t mind blowing(my sandwich was pretty disappointing because of the lack of sauce), which is why I gave them 3 stars. It was a good time though, which is why I will probably return!

Went on a Friday for lunch. Upon entering, there was good energy coming from a mostly full restaurant. I sat at the bar and asked the bartender where I could plug in my laptop, she directed me to the right spot at the bar and was kind enough to plug it in for me. I don’t know if the bartender was being respectful of my being on a laptop, but, In short, she lacked connection and guest service. I would call her type of service«drop and plop»; menu, dropped on the bar top, Surly Furious, plopped onto the coaster. No smiles, no ‘have you been here before”(I hadn’t).no tantalizing pitch on guest favorites or house specialities. I muddled through their large menu and ordered the full slab ribs with Tator tots. the Ribs are an ample portion of beef ribs, they were a smidge undercooked so lacked that fall off the bone quality but they were seasoned and sauced nicely. Tator tots were very underwhelming, they are oversized and my ribs came with three Tots and a dipping sauce(dont know what kind as nothing was explained to me when it was plopped down). the tots were greasy and not crisp at all… yuck! I asked for a side order of mashed potatos which arrived promptly and hot but they tasted as if someone had spilled a bottle of vinegar into them… again, yuck! The bartender did not appear to have any help, no barback or additional server support, so she had a lot of ground to cover between schlepping drinks for the servers and looking after her guests at the bar… When I asked for my leftovers to be boxed up, the bartender plopped a to go container in front of me. no asking if she could do it for me, or even a smile. awkward Overall, a very underwhelming and unimpressive first visit… i would have told the floor manager on duty all of this personally, but he seemed only interested in visiting tables of women, or bussing tables… The south metro has lots of restaurants with similar quality food, service and price point, nothing here to distinguish from the rest. Places like this are what give the south metro food scene the less than enthusiastic reputation it has I am glad I have a gift card so I dont have to spend all of my own money for this experience!

This place is hit or miss. I have been twice. They start you off with some delicious popcorn! First time I tried their homemade tatter tots. If you love tots like I do… You will get excited. However they were pretty underwhelming. They are rolled with cheese and some flavorings then deep fried. I expected a crispy tatter tot. These were more like soggy, greasy, hot hash brown rolled into a ball. I would not order them again. Mu spouse ordered a burger. It was big, had cheese, bacon and was good. Pretty basic if you compare to the other local fair in South Minneapolis. I ordered the nachos with chicken and beef. I love nachos and normally order that for my meal. The server asked if I wanted a half nachos and because it was a Sunday morning and I had plans I said sure! Thank GOD I did! The half nachos are the size to share for 2 – 3 people! The guacamole was fresh and home made. Cane loaded with stacks of cheese and meat. The meat btw was not your left over chicken breast and hamburgers that didn’t sell. These were meats you could enjoy in a burrito! They came with a cheese sauce side as well as having melted cheddar on it too. It was perfect! We sat outside. If you are a bigger person it will be tight to get to your spot. There are a few too many tables there. The second time I went. Wow… Horrible! There was almost no cheese on my nachos! Thank goodness for the cheese sauce on the side, otherwise I would have had regular chips! This place would get a 4 – 5 star if they were more consistent in quality.

I came here with my brothers and boyfriend for a quick bite, loved the idea of popcorn out right away, the only downside is that the area they keep the popcorn is kinda messy and unsightly when you walk past it. We ordered a beer cocktail that was really good! We also ordered nachos to start, THEYAREMASSIVE. When the menu says huge, they mean it. Between the four of us we couldn’t finish or even have room for burgers. We opted for a couple desserts to share. The fried ice cream is amazzzzzing. Has cinnamon and honey which I thought would be weird but was so good! We also got the cookie skillet… Not the greatest. Overall decent place. Server was helpful.

Came here for brunch with my 7 yr old daughter. She loved it. I don’t think many people know they have brunch. 10:00 am and no wait. I had the cajun scramble and my daughter and I shared the pull apart. It was delicious.

Went here for lunch with friends yesterday. Our waitress was great. The food was not. Something about ordering a $ 13 patty melt where two of the main ingredients(cheeses) aren’t overlapping at all… And why do they bother asking how you’d like your burger cooked, if everything coming out of the kitchen is going to be well-done?(Sadly, I only noticed this after looking around at what other tables were eating, after my food arrived.) And the onion rings were huge, but cold. And they seemed to made from the outside part of the onion… you know that outer layer of the onion that won’t dice when you’re cooking at home? Yeah, that seemed to be what they were using for their onion rings. TL;DR — Don’t charge me $ 13 for something was slapped together with zero care for the final product. If I want that, I’ll eat at McD’s. P. S. — I’ve eaten at all of the other locations so I had reasonable expectations for this location too. Maybe it’s owned by a franchisee? If this was my first visit to Lucky’s 13, I would never go back.

Service was good and the restaurant was busy. Food was a little on the bland side, someone in the kitchen needs to find the salt shaker. Onion rings need seasoning in the batter. Other than that everything was properly cooked and good size portions. I’ll be back.

Typically, I allow a restaurant to disappoint me only three times, it’s exceedingly rare that those these disappointments all happen in succession. Disappointment Number One: Corned Beef Hash. It was not corned beef hash. Who puts green peppers and hollandaise sauce on corned beef hash? Lucky’s 13 does. It was small pieces of beef littered through the remnants of an omelet. I asked the bartender; «Have you ever had corned beef hash?», looking dazed, I responded«this isn’t it. Utterly disgusting and was promptly sent back. Disappointment Number Two: The Black N’ Blue. This was the recommendation after the corned beef hash was sent back. In her opinion«the best burger on the menu». Also crap. It oozed nastiness out of it. I don’t know how you can screw up a Black N’ Blue burger, but Lucky’s 13 sure knows how to do it. Disappointment Number Three: The last straw. The jukebox. Being told that only certain genres are allowed to be played. So, after our music was turned off, rap was played. So, who turns off King Diamond mid-song? Nobody. Nobody except Lucky’s 13.

Service was good. Menu extensive, but the food was average at the very best and too expensive for the quality. This was my first time here and most likely my last visit.

So, let me just list off the pro’s… –kid friendly(legit toys to choose from as you walk in) –clean bathrooms with amenities for the ladies(based on what my wife told me) –if you live within 10 miles they will drive you and your vehicle home free(beyond that I’m sure there’s a reasonable fee) –solid food. Burger cooked to my perception of perfection(pink), solid beef brisket with slaw, and korean beef tacos that will be the closest a spot in Mn will get to actually tasting korean Cons –there were so many people here in the middle of the day that we couldn’t get a 3 person table outside. In other words, I couldn’t find a con and I’m fairly critical.

Where others have failed in this seemingly cursed corner of Burnsville Center, I believe Lucky’s can and will succeed. There’s an Applebee’s right across the hall, directly across, and it’s my opinion(after several beers) that people are tired of the corporate giants like Applebee’s. The pros to Lucky’s on this lazy Monday afternoon, was that I was greeted as I walked in the door before the rush hour. I mention that because generally the hostess is off doing something to prepare the dinner rush(or goofing off). As I approached my spot at the bar I was warmly welcomed by John the bartender and there was a genuine attitude about him that is rare in a lot of places. Another plus is the televisions scattered about the place, it was great seeing the US best Ghana in the World Cup without having to strain my neck to do so. Granted, I was sitting at the bar. I’ll also mention the great variety of beer on tap as well as bottles, including Omission which is a gluten free beer. Now for the cons. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer and I could tell right off that the fryer grease was at its limit. The rings were okay but could have been a lot better with fresh oil in the fryer and the dark color didn’t help either. Jucy Lucy’s are on special for Monday so we gave it a go. They tasted pre made, like they were frozen at one time. The shape of them is also a dead give away. Also, the prices are a bit higher than I expected. I’m probably wrong, but I didn’t think the Mendota location was quite this pricey. Now the price won’t be a huge deterrent for me if they get the fryer oil fresher and the burgers more flavorful, but it is something to note.
