I think some folks just have to find something to complain about. How else do you explain the person who gave the RP2 stars griped all the way through and said she had been there four times this year and it was always lousy? GOSOMEWHEREELSE. My wife and I went there on the strong recommendation of the desk clerk at our hotel. She was right. When we arrived it was below zero, the outdoor tables were piled high with snow and the snow shovel was just inside the door, and I knew we were back in Minnesota. The food was wonderful, the server was friendly and attentive and the martinis were well made with the shakers left behind so we could finish them off. I had a chicken and penne pasta that was so good I wanted to lick the plate. My wife had a roasted pear and Gorgonzola pizza. It doesn’t sound good to me, but she loved it. We finished the evening with a couple of dessert drinks and returned to our hotel feeling warm, fuzzy and well fed. The only reason I could think of to not give this place 5 stars is the hostess didn’t laugh when I asked to eat outside. Hey, it’s Minnesota where they take their cold seriously.

Eh, nothing really special. The sandwich was interesting as it was a rice based bun, but other than that there weren’t any dishes that seemed to be interesting. The waitress took way too long to serve me as well. I was able to wrap up two games of sudoku. May come back and try the brunch that others were talking about, otherwise probably won’t come back for a casual meal.

I always go into a ‘sports bar’ atmosphere with a mindset already determined. The food is not going to blow my mind but I’m fine with that– as long as I don’t walk away with gut Rot or leave still wanting more to eat. The service is always attentive and that is key to a successful experience! My only suggestion for the RP, bulk up your TV screens! I had a bigger screen in my college dorm room! People would stay longer if they could see details or even players on your screens! It’s now 2016, go for 42″ or bigger.

Great casual restaurant! Excellent food and great personal service. Michelle at the bar is the best server I have ever experienced. I come here all the time. It is our go to place;)

I now know why I have avoided this place for a few years. I have had a few friends over the years, suggest this place and I always curled up my nose to the idea and I now know why!!! Rhonda G and I do not have good luck dining together. I really don’t think I have ever had more than a three star experience with her! We ended up here because Jensens was crazy busy. I really was after breakfast this day and the Pear had a brunch but you all know how I feel about buffets by now. Ummm… No thanks! I don’t do buffets for germ reasons and because I like my food hot hot! Anyways, I literally could find nothing I wanted on the menu so I had grilled cheese with tomato soup. It was ok… Not really it wasn’t ok… The cheese was barely melted and the soup was not hot enough. I make WAY better grilled cheese and tomato soup… I most definitely will not be back.

Always enjoy the meals at Roasted Pear. Happy hour is great and food excellent. Wish there were locations in Scottsdale. Will be back next time I’m in town.

The best wings you can get! Fire roasted and great seasoning, don’t even need the sauce, but they give you Buffalo, BBQ, and Teriyaki sauce on the side anyway. Mondays are half price bottle of wine. a lot of other fire roasted items on menu and everything is great.

Went for brunch with Linda H. Jensen’s was way too crowded, I was tempted by broccoli cheese soup, which I liked a lot. Nothing looked any different than any other chain type menu, so I settled on a lettuce wedge. This was like half a head of iceburg lettuce, which was very green, that made me very happy. Covered in blue cheese, and bacon bits, I made the right choice. Our server, Christine was great. The buffet didn’t look appealing at all. My curiosity is finally satisfied, and I will not likely be back, because the menu is just average. I liked what I had and you may also.

RP(BURNSVILLE) is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. I’ve been here probably 40 times(not even an exaggeration) and everything I’ve ever eaten there has been delicious. I thought I would always be an RP Wrapper kind of gal, but I think I might have found a new favorite tonight. Chicken Thai Pizza. Holy cow, this stuff is good! The first few bites are a little strange as your mind tries to get past pizza-y expectations, but the peanut sauce adds excellent flavor while the raw sprouts and carrots add a level of freshness. YUMMM. I literally had to unbutton my pants on the ride home. Because I ate an entire pizza. In other news. House-made strawberry lemonade. Let’s get something straight here. I am a 23 year old woman who considers herself *very* dedicated to alcohol, but I have never had an alcoholic drink here, because DAMN. That lemonade. I live 30 minutes away(without traffic) and this place is worth every second of that drive. Every time.

The Walleye sandwich was the best fish sandwich I have had in my life. Huge piece of fish on a cibatta bun with a great tartar sauce.

I am all about brunch and all about buffets so I was looking forward to checking this out. Came here with my kiddo, who likes to give his input for my Unilocal reviews, and he also gave it a 2. The buffet is cheap, $ 15 for adults and $ 9 for kiddos, comes with a mimosa, juice, or champagne. I asked if I could have coffee instead of a mimosa and they don’t do that. The buffet was okay, nothing special. Standard brunch food: waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, veggies, salads, roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes, green, beans, lasagna, desserts. They also have made to order benedicts, which was the best thing by far. Most of the food from the buffet was cold. Eggs were very bland. My kiddo liked his waffles even though they were not hot. The salmon benedict was good, but I ordered it sauce on the side and they brought it out with sauce, so they had to make me a new one. The server was slow to clear our dirty plates from the table so we had to sit with a pile of dishes. The floors in the bathroom were sticky. Overall I was not impressed with anything except the benedict. I doubt I will come back for the brunch again or even to try their dinner.

Went to Roasted Pear for Mother’s Day with my children and grandchild. The host, as usual, was incompetent and outright rude. We all arrived separately, with me arriving last, and she went as far as to argue with me as to whether or not my group was there … and yes, they were, and had a pager … The server was good; busy, and a bit inattentive, but it was a busy night. I ordered the broccoli cheese soup and it was COLD … not just tepid, but COLD … as in bacteria growing, board of health violation COLD!!! If you ate here on mother’s day and had that nasty«24 hour flu» after eating the soup … well, you now have your explanation. My server told me that the warming table had been turned off all day, and until I complained, no one had noticed. Lets think about that … this was broccoli cheese soup, meaning that the person who got the soup ready had to scrape off a later of cold slime to get it ready … and no one thought to check the temperature??? Ugh.

I think they forgot about us because we were one of the first lunch tables seated and we ordered almost right away. But we saw people that ordered much later than us getting their food before us. We weren’t in a hurry so that didn’t bother us. The food was amazing and the server was attentive. I would go back because the food was great

I have been going here for over 6 years now and not once have I been disappointed. Every item on their menu is homemade and delicious! Their tomato basil soup and artichoke dip are out of this world. If you get the chance to stop there I would recommend those. I have tried mostly every dish off their menu and every dessert they have as well and everything I have had there is amazing. I completely recommend going here and giving it a shot!

It was pretty good! Went for lunch right when they opened for the day, around 11am. They have wonderful lunch size portions & pricing — I ordered the pasta/salad combo — it was a peanut sauce pasta and was perfectly spiced. My friend ordered the«stacker» — your choice of protein over a bed of vegtables. It looked delicious.

I really like this place. We’ve only come here for HH so far. The chicken eggrolls rock. And we normally get the asian wings too. I would like to try the flatbreads soon. One thing to note though is everytime I’ve gone here and went in the bar area to use the restrooms the floors are crazy sticky! Its gross and bothers me. Do they ever mop that floor properly or do they just spill pop all the time that makes it sticky?! Ick
