This experience was more of an «appleno» than an applebee, seemed as though anything that was attempted to be ordered we were told no we can’t do that. we were ordering from the menu with no changes. This was after a 45 minute wait to be seated and another hour for food. They did offer a 10 percent discount off our bill… not sure how they did the math but our bill was 40 dollars, the discount was a whopping $ 2.76. We don’t frequent this chain often and this has only reinforced the reason why.

I’ve gone to this particular location for years when I visit Flint. Good news is that I’ve never had issue with the food. Up until my last two visits, it would have been three stars, but having back to back issues gave me pause. 1. Use you card at your own peril. I checked my bank app after my meal to find not one, not two, but three identical charges on my card! A call to the manager got things settled quickly, but for the life of me, I don’t if it was waiter error or technology. Still, use cash! 2. Last time I dined there, our table was cleared but underneath was disgusting. Maybe children did it, maybe Tasmanian devils, I don’t know. Food, crumpled up napkins, very hard to miss. I get being busy, but I would have rather waited longer than have someone’s trash by my feet. The music is loud, I see why it would bother some but it didn’t bother me. Again, no issue with the food, but room to improve in the service.

Music was so loud you couldn’t hold a conversation across the table. Asked for the music to be turned down and it was, but then volume went back up a few minutes later. Service was okay, food was ok, just a mediocre experience.

I visit at least once a week, and have for the past ten years. I live down the street. My favorite dish, cedar grilled chicken, can usually be ordered with extra cranberries on the side. I’ve ordered it this way at least ten times. At least. Today, a newer waitress argued with me that that isn’t possible, since the rice is already mixed. When I told her I order it that way all the time, she asked me if it was at that location. I told her I visit about once a week. She then sent a manager to my table. The manager told me it wasn’t possible. I’d never seen that manager before. She told me they had the item, but it wasn’t «for sale as a side». Her tone and smile was condescending and patronizing. It ruined my favorite dish at my favorite neighborhood spot. :(

Up and down, punctuated by inconsistent service and food. Sometimes it’s very slow, with a long wait at the door to get a table. It’s often very noisy with the hubbub of noisy families and rowdy guys watching sports at the bar, yet it is clean and well-lit. There are usually screaming kids interrupting your meal, which is a drag. If you ask your server to ask the table next to keep it down, they just roll their eyes. I don’t really like reviewing chain restaurants all that much, because they are all pretty much status quo. I’ve had rubbery pasta and clearly frozen(not freshly made) ravioli, but good chips and artichoke dip. Mudslides are pretty good and the fish and chips are really average at best. I’ve never really ordered anything that stood out to me, either way.

Awful experience here today. My mother and I stopped here for dinner. I ordered a coffee and water, and my mom ordered a water, no ice, with lemon. They brought my coffee which came in a very dirty cup, and also had lipstick stains on the edge. It looked like it hadn’t even been washed! The waitress acted very blasé about it, seemingly unconcerned that the cup was absolutely filthy. They also screwed up the water, giving me a water with ice and lemon when I specified no lemon, and my mom had no lemon which she had asked for. I honestly thought about leaving at that point, but we were very hungry. I ordered and steak dish and she ordered a chicken/avocado dish, which were fairly acceptable. Certainly nothing to write home about. When we were about halfway through eating, the waitress brought us the bill, stating there was no rush. She had not even come back to see how the meal was! I was appalled that she didn’t even do her job and was rushing us out. My mother also said that the bathrooms were very dirty. I tried to catch the manager’s eye several times to voice my concerns, but he didn’t seem to care to check on customers, rather, he was more concerned with flirting with the waitresses. I will most definitely not be returning to this establishment.

One of my favorite spots to have good food, service, and/or bring the entire family. Most Applebee’s restaurants are open from 11am to 11pm Sundays — Thursdays. On Fridays and Saturdays, many locations are open until midnight. You may also enjoy the half off appetizers after 10 pm seven days a week. It was about 6pm and The place was surprisingly packed! There was a half hour wait to be seated but 32″-40″ TVs were all around to keep customers occupied while waiting. Upon being seated, drinks and appetizers were offered. I decided to pick from the 2 for $ 20 menu which included 1– appetizer and 2– entrees. The spinach and artichoke dip was tantalizing. It was A warm crock of creamy spinach, tender artichokes, and melted Asiago and Parmesan cheeses, with freshly-made Spicy Chipotle Lime Salsa and warm tortilla chips. I also had th buffalo wings with claSsic bbq sauce and side of old fashioned bleu cheese dressing. yummy. The waitress seemed new, even though it was great to be checked on, I swear she came to the table EVERY5 min.. lol. I just wanted to eat in peace. First entrée Consisted of the fiesta lime chicken which is one of many signature dishes offered that consists of Grilled chicken done fiesta-style with zesty lime sauce, Mexi– ranch and Jack-cheddar. Served with crisp tortilla strips, seasoned rice and freshly-made pico de gallo which tasted amazing! 2nd entrée was the 7oz house sirloin served which was A petite version of their classic sirloin. This was served with seasonal vegetables and your choice of garlic mashed potatoes or baked potato, but i got with french fries. The steak juicy and flavorful and was made to order and was Good considering it’s not a steak house. I also tried the signature mango lemonade which was ok. All in all I had a great time, minus the waitress that kept coming every 5 min. ! I was to stuffed to try dessert. I would highly recommend Apple Bees signature dishes. Next time I’ll trya different Signature dish… I think. That fiesta lime chicken was on point! :)

While Applebees IS not one of my favorite food establishments, this location seems to do a good job
