It’s been a looong time since I have been to a Big Johns. Having grown up in neighboring Lapeer County it wasn’t a long drive to Davison to get a good Steak sandwich. A Genessee County staple and place of lore for years the locals revere Big Johns. Having made the move south toward Detroit it has been years and I have to admit I kind of forgot about the place. A travel opportunity put me in the proximity and I just had to stop. To my satisfaction and love of consistency it was just as I remembered. My personal preference is to have the red sauce mixed in while cooking and a bag of their kettle chips. Thank You Big Johns for staying true to your roots.

SOOOOOOGOOOD! SOOEXPENSIVE:/ A whole steak chopped up and put onto a hoagie with whatever fixings you want. It’s pretty much a dollar per inch but its some darn good juicy steak and will fill you up right. One of the best cheese steaks I’ve ever had!

Great grilled subs. I choose more of a healthy option. I had a turkey breast with shredded cheese and a variety of vegetables. The customer service was very good and friendly. Highly recommended if you’re in the Flint, MI area.

Love Big Johns. It’s definitely a guilty pleasure restaurant. Every time I come to Michigan to visit I have to stop by to get a chicken philly with everything from this place. I’m never disappointed. The chicken is cooked well and seasoned just right. The price is inexpensive, they have great coupons for a buy one get one free deal usually in the store or in the local Sunday newspaper. Definitely a great lunch or dinner spot if you’re for good chicken philly.
