Zimmerman’s ACE Hardware is a great hardware store with outstanding service. I was looking for a particular Tiller and Ron checked inventory and made sure the right tiller was their for me. When I picked up the Honda Tiller, I also noticed they are a John Deere dealer! Now, I have a great place to pick up parts for my tractor as well. Thanks Ron and your staff for excellence service via email and when I arrived at the store. Hard to get this at a big box store, just outstanding!

Jerry in Parts was extremely helpful and prompt in responding and completely understood the parts I needed and went the extra mile to send me a diagram for installation on my John Deere. Shelly responded to my needs for scheduling. Ron Zimmerman stayed involved. No matter whom I spoke with, they all seemed to understand and no the issues, so I was not being transferred to several people and having to re-explain to everyone.

Great place. Great service from knowledgable people. Small selection for some things but nice full range of hardware (fasteners etc) the parts department is really great for getting small parts for your tools. They carry a good selection of Stihl
I like their selection of hardscape goods. Not the number of choices you find at a big box but on the other hand you can find things.

I’ve been in here a few times when I needed something quickly and didn’t want to have to wander through a mammoth box store — and then roll the dice on long lines to check out. Most recently, though, I needed service on my lawnmower. It had been sitting for more than two years because last April I had the first of two knee surgeries and my neighbor took over the lawn maintenance for the entire season for me. Not only did it need a major overhaul (which I expected after sitting for so long), but I expected the repair bill to be nearly what I paid for the mower. I was wrong: the total bill was $ 86, the work was done within a week — and when I picked it up — it didn’t even look like my lawnmower. They cleaned it! It starts on the first try every time — and runs like a champ. AWESOME service here!

I’m not a hardware store girl so this little shop is perfect. Small enough so I don’t get e Home Depot panic attack or frustration. Large enough than they always have what I’m looking for. Also they have an ice cream cooler right where you walk int! Great marketing ploy!
Very helpful staff. Have never had to wander around in a daze trying to find something, surrounded by tools and parts that I’ve never heard of. Someone always takes me to what I want and then puts in in the car for me after I’ve paid.
Minus one star for hideous highway-side location and difficulty of access. (Not their fault — they kind of expanded the Rte 29 and 198 junction around the store.)

I went in here to get a Craftsman chainsaw that was in their flyer. I told this to an older guy with greasy hair wearing suspenders. Immediately he says «AWW, GET A STIHL» I was like WTF! Turns out they didn’t have the one in the flyer. I took my business to Home Depot and wont be going back to this disrespectful place.

My husband and I used to go here to help the small business owner but NEVER again. The people that work there need to learn a lot about customer service. They were rude and when I finally said I wasn’t going to return to this store Quinn, the cashier said «Good!» We would rather drive to Kendall’s Hardware than give them any more of our business.

Only been in here for small stuff and the cashiers are always very nice. I always get my propane refilled here because you get 20#s worth. The propane exchanges (Rhino, etc) only give you 15#.

Over the years, I have relied on Zimmerman’s for good advice and an extensive selection of quality merchandise. One can find many things that are not available at the big box stores. The staff, both retail and service are always there to be as helpful as possible. I would highly recommend them for your hardware and equipment needs.

Convenient location and friendly staff makes up for smallish selection. But this isn’t a Home Depot, so don’t expect 200 aisles of stuff, just the basics.
3 stars for service and selection and an extra star for staffing at the registers; they only hire cute highschool girls for cashiers. Seriously.
