Great place to enjoy a night out with family and friends! The food is great as well as the prices! Friendly service and great music. Enjoyed the entertainment on Tues. Mic night, especially the very talented singer, singing one of my favorites by Alanis Morissette!

Like everyone says, little town bar. Locals did NOT make me feel like I was in «Roadhouse». Picked up some wings for takeaway. Drove about 20 minutes with the smell torturing me. When we finally popped the tin open and ate the wings we were very happy. Those are some darn good wings. Crispy and sauced just right. They must be even better fresh from the oven. Based on the wings, I will surely pick some up on the way home to share with friends. Looking forward to the steak sandwich I’ve read about.

I cannot begin to explain how upset I am right now… Obviously it is catered to the local people. I came to have a couple drinks with my mom and dad. I was told we were to loud… How are we to loud??? We had our own private table. We left after one drink and we planned on staying for a couple. As we left it was a local nasty person that had words with us… So obviously it is catered to weirdos. But to have a bartender come over and tell us someone said we were to loud. It is a bar full of people, how or why would you say that? I would never go there again or recommend this place to anyone. GOTOMACKS… GREATPLACE!!! ALLARE Welcome!

Went here Saturday(early dinner) the food was ok but I would not go back because of the service. Had three different servers in the space of an hour, each one worse than the other. Waited forever to order, only two other tables and we were still ignored, waited for food and drink refills and ended up having to go to the bar to ask for our check 10 minutes after the server said he’d get it right away. Too many other places to get a cheeseburger without the hassle.

I usually order the medium garlic wings and they are pretty good. Very cheap. 10 wings for 7 bucks 16 for 12 bucks. Also had the ribeye sandwich and that was very good. Would recommend because of quality food and good prices

Decent little bar with cold beer and good bar food. It’s all you need for a bite to eat and a cold drink. I’d recommend the steak sandwich. Delicious!

Jiggs’s is a cool little pub located right on route 23, that features live music a few nights a week. It’s got your typical dive bar feel to it; low lit lighting, all kinds of promotional beer stuff on the wall, background music(when there’s no live music), and just a warm, cozy feel to it. The dark wooden beams give it a cabin-esq feel, which is apropos to the semi-mountainous area. The place, does have a dinning area, but the bar is the definite focal point. They have a decent selection of «premium beers» with a limited selection of craft beer(which this time was Defiant and Cricket Hill), but I’ll take what I can get. On my first visit I got a Bacon Burger and sweet potato fries, which was a solid choice. The Burger was served on a hard roll and cooked perfectly and was very tasty. On my last visit, I decided to go with the wings. WOW those wings were effing amazing! The wings had the perfect combination of crisp and sauce… I’m going to go out on a limb here, and say that their wings were better than some of the other bars in the area, that have a reputation for great wings. I need to come back and check this place out when they have live music, to get the full experience.

One of my favorite places for a cold beer and anything to eat. Everything they offer is generously portioned and cooked to order and priced very cheap. French onion soup is awesome. Big burgers and juicy steak sandwiches. WINGS. Yes wings. The good sized crispy wings are some of the best around and if you like garlic get the hot garlic sauce. Yummmy. I go for the suicide garlic myself and omg are they good. The sizzling steak is a good sized steak served with fries and always fantastic. I have never had anything that I didn’t like there. Great selection of beer on tap and many specialty beers also. The wait staff from bar maids to waitress are very friendly and attentive to everyone. Over all it’s a great place with great food that has entertainment on weekends. Try it you will love it.

Jigg’s is your local neighborhood bar, really good food, good drinks, good live music. The age ranges from 21 to 61, blue collar workers and everyone gets along well together. The only 2 draw backs are(1) The bar is Way Too Dark, Dingy & Depressing. They need lighter colors to «Cheer» the place up a bit, which will also make it look more spacious. And(2) They don’t have enough waitresses, on a busy Fri. or Sat. night. A bartender may have to wait on the tables & then go back behind the bar.

The man and I came in here in a Saturday night to eat a few months back. Bill was $ 29.58 for everything. I had the chicken noodle soup for an appetizer and ordered the chicken caesar wrap with fries and a soda. He had the grilled chicken sandwich with a beer. Everything was very good, although I shouldn’t have been surprised because it seems that more often than not the local dive type bars always have the best food. The environment is entirely casual, which is nice. It’s pretty much your locals bar, but as a non-local I didn’t feel out of place. After we got our check, paid, and were almost on the car, our waitress came running after us because it turned out that my boyfriend forgot his credit card.

Pretty good for a local bar! Not the friendliest atmosphere, but they do take care of you. Decent selection of beers on tap. Order the bar pies… I feel like that should be a rule in every bar, but just in case you need reminding. They have music entertainment weekly which is always fun.

I’ve been regularly going to Jigg’s for the last 2 months. In that time, I’ve come to the conclusion that while it is close to home and the music is ok, the service leaves much to be desired. It’s now been 3 times that I’ve tried to order food at 10PM(or maybe a minute or two before), and was told the kitchen was closed. That’s pretty lame. I would understand if I tried ordering at 10:15 or 10:30, but not at the strike of 10 when the kitchen is usually still sending out dishes to customers. This brings me to the main point — most of the bartenders are not very good. Their time spent working is more about socializing and not making sure customers are being taken care of. The mark of a good bartender is a person who can greet you with a smile, serve you a drink, check up on you, and maybe do a little small talk. I’ve noticed that almost all the bartenders walk with their heads down. I can understand if the bar is 3 deep and you’re running around, but most of the time that is not the case. I think I need to find another place to stop after work.

Chill spot for beers and wings. Everything on the menu is amazing! Burgers and wings are top of the list. It’s hard to sit at the bar and not order wings if they are any where in your vicinity. The smell alone will make your mouth water.

This is a great hometown place with good food at a great price. Definitely give this place a try and you wont be disappointed. Dont expect fine dining or a classy place its just good bar food. The first thing you have to order is the haystack!!! I challenge you to not love it. The Rachel sandwich and wings are great along with the burgers. Go early for cheap beer. Hmmm haystack!!!

Jiggs is a roadside saloon with a dark décor that fits its pedigree. It is not a destination for fine dining, but in the realm of simple pub food Jiggs excels. Their burgers are excellent and probably the best under $ 5 hamburger you will find in the area. Chicken wings are outstanding. Jiggs offers several wing sauces ranging from the heatless garlic parmesan, with a sauce so delicious that you wish you had some bread to soak up the leftover, to «Suicide» which is hot enough to make your nose run. The patty melt(chicken or beef), served on toasted bread with caramelized onions is outstanding. This is the realm of fried food that is bad for you and they do it well. Jiggs is above all a bar, and a local bar at that. If you aren’t a regular you might notice a few heads turn when you walk in, but don’t let that scare you. The locals will soon return to their beers and talk about fishing, politics or whatever the subject of the day is. Some people alluded to a «rough crowd» or «bikers» but they are nothing more than working class men and women out for a few beers after work. Nothing particularly«rough» about them. There are televisions throughout the place and they are always tuned to several sports channels so if you want to watch the Yankees or Mets, or the Giants or something else you need to find a seat with a view of that game. Or you can sometimes get the bartender to switch the channel for you so you can watch what you want, as long as nobody else objects. Live music usually kicks in about 9:00 with mostly jazz or blues based artists and there is an open mic night(Wed I think) where I’ve seen some surprisingly talented singers. There is an area with tables that is apparently serviced by the bartenders in a rotation, so table service can be crappy at times and something of an afterthought. That is Jiggs. If you want consistent, prompt service you are better off forgetting about the tables and sit at the bar for eats. The beer selection is rather ordinary. It is mostly the usual big brewery offerings such as Bud and Miller Lite, but they also offer Smithwicks, Guinness Stout and Newcastle Brown Ale, but that is as far as it goes. True beer aficionados may find the offerings wanting. If you are looking for simple, well executed pub food and are willing to put up with somewhat spotty service pass by the big chains that line Route 23 and head to Jiggs.
