My family really enjoyed our first time dining here. Beautiful view and the service is a 5 star. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their entrees and desserts.

I ate dinner at the Cielo Restaurant in Cabazon, CA on 6÷13÷2016. It was my 1st time there. The Cielo is the fine dining restaurant inside the Morongo Casino, Resort and Spa. It is located on the 27th floor of the tallest building in San Bernardino County and has a wonderful view. Prices are not cheap, but as I always say, you get what you pay for. I had a filet($ 48) while my companion had Salmon($ 35). A bacon wrap shrimp was $ 17.00, french onion soup $ 10.00, creamed spinach $ 7.00 and wild mushrooms $ 7.00. Our coffees were $ 3.50 each. Our server, Serena, could not have done a better job and all the staff was attentive and made the whole evening pleasurable. Plus, I took photos.

My husband and I went here for restaurant week. We were looking forward to what should have been magnificent views from up top the casino. Well, the windows were dirty and hard to see out of. Also, the booths are tall and they block a large part of the view when you’re sitting. They had live entertainment and the color changing lights/chandeliers are pretty. The food was ok. Simple salad, crab risotto and steak. No complaints but nothing was outstanding. Service was just ok.

Catastrophic. Though the manager was honorable financially, the anticipated evening cannot be redeemed. To call the service«leisurely» would be to kind. One hour and forty five minutes from sit down to arrival of our steaks. I ordered the Prime none in Ribeye, medium rare. My guests split the Tomahawk 32 Oz ribeye medium well. My Steak came medium well. I sent it back. Twenty minutes later, after my party had finished dining, a new one came, blood rare. I cancelled the order. My guests Tomahawk steak had such a huge bone that I do not think it was actually bigger than my 22 oz. theirs was medium rare. They could not eat it. Astonishingly, our server commented to me that my steak looked much rarer under different lighting in the kitchen. How could this be. We were both staring at a bright red steak three feet away. Even the manager was astonished. Back to Flemings, the Palm and Ruth’s Chris. A ruined evening. Most disappointing.

The food was delicious. We started with the crab cakes. They were fresh and pretty big. I had the Lobster bisque it was flavorful and had nice size bits of Lobster. It was also a unique presentation. My wife had the surf and turf and I had the Ribeye. The steaks were perfect. You can share the sides even though the menue said single serving. We shared the Chocolate cake but it was dry. The service was on point and it made up for the prices being too high. The whole experience was great. Until I got my car out of valet parking the guy drove thru the sprinklers I just washed my car Two hours before dinner. Really Morongo

Very impressed! First and foremost, to offer me a black napkin because you notice I’m wearing black is a total thumbs up! Totally disappoints when fining dining restaurant have white napkins for guests and you walkout with cheap white lent in your clothes –NOTIMPRESSIVEATALL! I chose the scallops which were cooked perfectly… my Boaz had steak which was delish. The sides were tasty mac n cheese and creamed spinach! Bread basket yummers… Caesar salad was a bit let down but dinner and service definitely over shadowed. Dessert: warm butter cake and Tirmasu! Wait for it very good! However, the warm butter cake is not Mastros but it served it’s purpose. The Tirmasu was light and quite flavorful I would order two(lol) but don’t want to look greedy! Hahaha. Overall, a great meal and i would recommend Cielo for your next dining experience!

Excellent food and service. Ordered the New York Strip with Yukon mashed potatoes. Just delicious and cooked to perfection. It’s pricey but well worth it. The décor is lovely and the chandeliers are just gorgeous. We’d definitely come back!

Unbelievable. This is where people go to ball. We had a real treat– the regular elevators were broken so we had to go on the utility elevators. No problem! In exchange for our inconvenience, the elevator host(yes that is how classy this place is) regaled us with stories of all the celebrities — and there were many — who had been whisked away on the same elevator! Be prepared to splurge on the check — but i know I am not the only one who thought it was well worth it… I definitely overheard other people talking, no bragging, about the $ 300 meal they just had — all worth it!!! One thing: make sure you try the butter cake!!! Don’t be put off at first— it is NOTRAW in the middle! But I don’t want to spoil the surprise why it tastes that way… YUMMY!!!

Cielo is set on the 27th floor of the Morongo Casino with great views of the desert. Our party of 5 came here for dinner and were impressed with the ambiance and the menu Cielo had to offer. We were immediately shown our way to the table after a round of drinks at the their bar. We had a couple of appetizers for the table and then moved on to our entrees which were delicious. Their steaks were tender and flavorful and the seafood dishes were fresh especially their Shrimp Scampi. Our server was great, he checked periodically with the table and kept glassed filled. This is the place to have a nice dinner when you are in the Cabazon area.

High class dining with excellent food and even more excellent service. Douglas and Marvin were friendly, professional, and engaging. The tomato mozzarella salad is fantastic! The Chilean sea bass was cooked perfectly! The filet mignon was cooked and seasoned perfectly! The mashed potatoes were smooth, creamy, and flavorful! Did I mention the excellent service? Perfection. Highly recommend, if you’re in the area and want a great dining experience.

While staying at the hotel for the IOA golf pro-am tournament I went up to Cielo with two girlfriends. We ate in the bar/lounge and it was absolutely delicious. We had delicious crab cakes, caprese salad, tuna tartar tacos and a lobster bisque soup. All were beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The portions were decent(for our smaller appetites). Our service was okay, but not great. Our waitress didn’t tell us when we arrived that we had just a couple of minutes to order before happy hour ended, which was disappointing, and she got my order wrong, which resulted in a very delayed dinner for me. Overall, the food is fabulous and I would go back for sure.(And the manager adjusted our ticket when we brought this to his attention, so they did make it up to us).

Special dining on New Year’s Eve is commonly followed by many. But Diane and I have a tradition of doing the same on New Year’s Day as well. This year we decided to try Cielo’s, perched 27 floors up at the top of the Morongo Casino Resort. As hoped for, we emerged into a nice elegant atmosphere with wide picture windows and multi-colored chandeliers that changed from blue to green to red. The food, too, did not disappoint, beginning with a good nutty Brown Bread and separate butter dishes(although the White Bread was undistinguished). We each ordered the New Year’s Special, which consisted of a 6-ounce medium-rare Filet and 6 oz. Lobster Tail with Shrimp Cocktail, Caesar Salad, Grilled Asparagus, Truffle Mashed Potatoes, and Cheesecake or Crème Brulee. The restaurant was very accommodating, agreeing to let Diane substitute Lobster Bisque for Caesar Salad, and charging nothing extra for first-rate Bearnaise and Bordelaise Sauces when the menu called for Demi-Glacé. And, to round out the meal with a fifth course, I added very good Tortellini in Brodo Soup, with Prosciutto and Cherry Tomatoes. The Lobster Bisque was very good, with Lobster Flan in the middle of the bowl and chunks of lobster, but it was too peppery for Diane’s delicate taste buds. And, although Diane ate most of her soup anyway, when she asked about the soup and Diane told her about the pepper, the manager on her own took my extra soup off the bill. When Diane protested, the manager said, «We want you to be happy with everything you ate!» While there was a long wait for the Shrimp Cocktail, it was worth waiting for, coming with a bonus of 12 Bay Shrimp in a tasty Louie Dressing. The Caesar Salad contained a very light Caesar Dressing, the asparagus spears were well cooked, the Lobster Trail was sweet, and my Filet was medium-rare as ordered, excellent, and buttery. At dinner’s end my generous slice of excellent New York Cheesecake with Strawberry Sauce was classic New York style fare, and Diane liked her Vanilla Crème Brulee. We enjoyed very fine service from our server, Jaimie. But Diane’s steak was somewhat grainy, and not as good as mine. And, the price point seemed high for Certified Angus rather than prime grade Filet. Yet, overall we were served fine cuisine in an intimate setting from a chef with a light deft touch. XXXX-½ overall!

Wow! What an oasis of elegance and great service. We started at the bar with 2 great cocktails from their mixologist. The blueberry martini was outstanding. We moved into a booth and service was really top notch. I ordered the scallops and hubby had the filet. Both were perfectly prepared and the sides were creative, tasty and unpretentious. I had no idea this beautiful restaurant was so good AND prices were very reasonable. Definitely return next time we’re at Morongo.

This place is considered fine dining in the area, and don’t get me wrong, it is. The atmosphere and the actual restaurant is pretty sophisticated for the most part, but everything else is mediocre, sadly. Coming to a place like this you kind of have to have high expectations for everything. For one thing, I’d expect this place to have exceptional service if they were going for a more high end/classy vibe, but our server was nowhere near extraordinary. I was with my family of 6 and we needed time to look over our menu to decide what we wanted, but were also talking amongst ourselves. Our server would rudely try to talk over us saying the specials for the night, rather than asking us if we needed a few minutes. We sort of felt rushed to order. Besides that, he was okay the rest of the night and friendly for the most part. I ended up ordering the Top Sirlon with a Peppercorn Sauce and a side of Mashed Potatoes. We also got a Lobster Mac and Cheese to split. I like my steak medium, but it was a little on the tough side, however the marinate was still tasty and everything went well with the peppercorn. The mac and cheese was probably my favorite dish because it was creamy and not too heavy, but the serving was extremely small. I was pleased with the food, but for a $ 32 steak + $ 7 side and $ 16 mac and cheese, I kind of expected something more memorable. I also tried a bit of the Gnocchi, which was delicious and the perfect consistency, but a little too oily for my taste. While the food was good, it was something you can find elsewhere at a more reasonable price. For dessert we got a Chocolate Ganache Cake which was pretty basic. It was not a melt in your mouth type of cake or anything. The good part is that it was pretty large and more than enough for us to share. Overall, I would not come back here considering how much we paid, even after our credit was applied. At least we had the opportunity to win some of our money back downstairs.

How this place has improved in the last 3 years. Bravo to whomever made that decision. I’m giving it 4 stars for the massive change in their food quality and taste. 3 years ago, we called this place, the place where salty meats are served. Now we call it one of our favorite places to go to before we lose our hard earn millions ;) Cielo may want to rethink their choice of singers/duet. I’m not sure what was worse. Her singing or hearing a cow be slaughtered. Yes… That bad.

Great food with a great view. Our steaks were cooked perfectly! The sides we delicious… gnocchi and risotto. We started our meal with ahi tuna appetizer and a salad. The prices are fair for«fine dining» If I could, I would have a 4 oz steak and all the sides… they all sounded delish. We had no room for dessert. At night the windows light up and you can see the pretty mountain side. During the day you can see the orange rainbow like colors of the mountains. Really beautiful. We got there there right before sunset so we got to see both.

Location location location! Had a reservation for a group of 7. Took the elevator up and checked in. Waited for a couple of minutes in the hallway enjoying the view at floor 37. We were seated in the middle of the circular dining room and the server did a great job highlighting all the different specials. The menu was elaborate and steeply priced. I’m an avid meat eater so the steak section got me super excited. I ordered the filet with a fois gras upgrade. The wine list was easy to navigate and I decided on a single glass of the featured pinot noir. We had one vegetarian guest in our party and the chef went the extra mile to give her a great experience. The food took a good while to come out. Luckily we had a lot to talk about. There is live music which is a fun perk. My filet was yummy. I fully enjoyed my meal. My wine was overpriced. For sides we shared the carrots, mashed potato, broccoli and asparagus. Decent not earth chattering. For dessert we shared a butter cake between the 7 of us. We were all oh and ah-ing over it. The service was attentive all through the night without being overpowering. Well done! In summary it’s a fun special location. Definitely the best option at the resort. AND that’s what you’re paying for. Be smart in your beverage choices to manage your bill and if you win a big hand at the casino go spend it here :)

Come hear for the views alone. 30 minutes before sunset would be the best time to go in order to view the valley in the best lighting possible. You can see all the way past Palm Springs. The food is just decent. I’ve been to much better places in LA and OC, but the IE has a limited selection of finer dining establishments. What you get for the price is not a good value. If you have any friends or family living close by, it’s worth a try. The only redeeming food item is the seafood tower. It’s small, but delicious.
