If you are out visiting the Sunny Slope wineries near(I guess technically IN) Caldwell stopping here is kind of a no brainer. They have amazing pastries and all other varieties of desserts you could hope for. I’m not a dessert guy, I’m really not at all, but the bread pudding and beignets were so good they made me sit up and take notice. Plus, their fries might be some of the best I’ve ever had, perfect size, crunchy but not overcooked. They also have ketchup that was made by a local company called«Chef Willi Wongo’s Jalapeño Ketchup» which turns out to not be fantastic, but what it lacks in umami and blend it makes up for in label coolness. Our server was very fun, bantering back and forth with us and recommended turning our one side and two dessert order into a three course meal. I didn’t try an entrée so I can’t speak to that. Pro-tip: If you eat something sweet before trying the jalapeño ketchup it really brings out the spice!

The salmon was excellent, good amount of food for the prices. Cozy atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, and a beautiful location. Definitely worth the drive.

My grandmother and I stopped by for an early lunch. We arrived around 11 and ordered our food by 11:10. We then waited 50 minutes before we received our food. A couple next to us arrived a half hour after us and received their food at the same time as we did. The service was good just the kitchen needed some help. The food was very bland and was put together sloppy. I had the turkey sandwich and I was very disappointed. We were told that they get busy between 9 and 12 and that was the cause for the delay. When you run a food service customer based establishment you must staff according to the needs of your customers. If you get busy during 9 and 12 then you should obviously staff more in the kitchen. They’re are plenty of waitress running around but seems to be only one cook. I was very disappointed with my visit and won’t be returning.

My wife and two friends visiting from Cleveland ate lunch here mid-week as a jump-off point for a wine tasting adventure in the Sunnyslope area. We arrived around two in the afternoon. The weather was perfect, so we decided to enjoy our meal outside. The restaurant has a lovely patio area, to its credit. The food was hit or miss, unfortunately. The general consensus went as follows: The fried green-beans were delicious, the salads were tasty, as were the french fries. The fish tacos were decent, the hamburger was ho-hum, and the soups(french onion, tomato) were uninspired and left unfinished. The tomato soup came with a bonus piece of metal in it, unfortunately. The review would have stayed at three stars, metal-in-soup and all, if it hadn’t been for them charging us for it. I had to request an itemized receipt as one wasn’t given to us by default, and then had to point out that we wouldn’t be paying for a soup that contained a metal strand in it. It was a very unfortunate end to a meal that was nearly salvaged entirely by the green-bean appetizer and pear-pie. I don’t say this often, but we won’t be returning here for quite some time. It’s too far of a drive from the Boise Bench area for mediocre food and incompetent billing.

We were quite underwhelmed. The young waitress staff not overly friendly or helpful. It had a mini Cracker Barrel feel. The outside area is quaint and relaxing to sit in but hard to get a table out there because it is small. The food is mediocre. My chicken wrap was dry with little chicken and mostly lettuce. Not what we expected amongst the wineries. I wouldn’t go back and would recommend just eating at one of the wineries or picnic for a better experience.

We went here for Father’s Day and got great service and the food tasted amazing! It took us awhile to get greeted but the biscuits and gravy made up for it.

We have eaten there twice in the past 2 months. The service was awesome, the food was perfect and the atmosphere sitting outside was very relaxing. We tried several of their blended wines and found them to be very tasteful.

After an afternoon of wine tasting, my friends and I swung by the Orchard for some grub before the drive back to Boise. Right away, I knew I was in a good spot because of the rack of pies next to the front door. I’m a pie guy at heart. Not so much cake, and I’m further confused by cupcakes. Why would I want to eat a tiny dessert that is accompanied by garbage. Anyway. We were seated almost immediately and got our drink orders in. I have the local brew, Aviator by Crooked Fence. A raspberry beer that is delicious. I thought to myself, I’m not a big fatty yet, why don’t I get some pasta Alfredo? So I did! And it was great! Our waitress was awesome and the food was good. The patio seating was pleasant in the pre summer sun. In a rural location, The Orchard House is a great pit stop when you are day drinking. Or just because. Either way.

The Orchard House may seem small and quaint from the outside but ignore it at your own loss! The quality of food and cooking is unequaled. So many local products used and yet their prices are still better than most. I doubt we’ll ever step foot in a chain breakfast joint again! Their selection of homemade desserts is amazing as well. If you like local wines and microbrews this is the place to be. Enjoy local art and crafts while there too.

We had a reservation for 2 o’clock it was 230 before we were seated and 3 o’clock before our order was taken. The menu was very limited and very spending for the items that were offered. This may be a great restaurant but I would advise avoiding at all cost on Mother’s Day.

Fantastic meatloaf sandwich for a quick recovery meal after a day wine tasting in the beautiful region… The cappuccino is rich with whole milk and incredibly frothy. Will be back again!

I had the prime rib sandwich and an iced tea. The iced tea was a tad weak, but I prefer my tea strong and deep black and this was not doing it for me. The interior is very nicely decorated but it feels more like a thrift shop than a restaurant or diner. The prime rib sandwich was delicious but I ordered it with the aus jus which was very cold and almost ruined the sandwich.

Have eaten here several times and the food is always fresh and fantastic. I’m a huge fan of their biscuits and gravy and the pear pie is to die for. Love local. Love fresh. Love the orchard house.

My 3rd and last time here. The service is horrible. Servers wont smile like she has something else going on everytime. 45 mins to get a few hamburgers on a slow night last time. The time before appetizer came at the same time as the meal. Ask for anything and servers don‘t come back. Really disappointed. I talked to my neighbor about it and they echoed the same thing. Bad service… Hope they pull it together because its enviroment is nice.

I normally really enjoy this place but a friend and I were turned away from service on Saturday Sept.27th, i guess the kitchen was behind? So we left and went up to Bitner’s to pick up our wine. After we got our wine we drive back to The Orchard House for lunch. Experienced very slow service! I don’t know what’s going on with this place but I hope they figure it out!

Delicious breakfast, gluten-free friendly. Service is a bit slow but the settings is so beautiful you do not mind. We love coming here.
