Wasn’t super wowed by this place. I definitely have had better BBQ elsewhere. The pork that I ordered was a bit dry, and not as tender or juicy as I’d like. And if a place doesn’t have good cornbread, it’s a no go for me! And this place definitely didn’t have good cornbread.

Combo to for $ 20– and the Latin gentleman said for chicken it was a Half a chicken and 3 ribs. What I received was a quarter leg(led and thigh) and 2 ribs. Ribs were not render. Which explains why there is no smoke rings. The chicken was bland. Nothing special or southern about this place. The sides, potato salad and coleslaw we’re plain. Looking at this place, I bet it use to the authentic due to the photo of the business and name. Now lost lost the heart of the BBQ. Nothing special, the name is deceiving. Tourist foolery.

Every time I’m in NAPA I make it a point to stop by and eat. I love getting a taste of home in wine country. The ribs are my favorite, but you can’t go wrong everything is delicious.

One of the BESTBBQ joints I have ever ate at. The meats are tender and the rubs and sauces are on point. If you are nearby, take the time and have some excellent BBQ!

I was told this place was very good, jupdate the pictures to now because the food doesn’t look like at .I was very disappointed in taste my tri tip was good but the sauce nasty, the chilli beans just tasteless seemed the just open up a can and served it, macroni salad it taste like straight mayonnaise and that only noodles overcooked. But my Sierra Nevada was cold and good. Kinders barbecue taste better then this place, but everyone has different taste buds.

We had high hopes for this place. We were walking by doing a wine tasting when the smell of BBQ captured us by suprise. It smelled delicous. We decided to come back closer to dinner. We were suprised once again. The service staff was horrendous. The trip tip and beef ribs were okay. The chicken was super dry. There was no pork of any kind which was sad because I had my heart really set on some pork ribs. The sides were very small. The three bean salad was super vinegary, the Chile beans had no flavor. The potatoes salad was not cooked enough and the Mac or Roni salad was not very good. The garlic bread was nothing more than lightly buttered toast. All and all a real disappointment that borders on out right robbery considering the small portions and high price.

You feel more like your having a picnic at a park than actually eating at a restaurant. They do have indoor seating, but we wanted to enjoy the beautiful day. We sat right next to the grill, enjoyed the aromas, and had some really tasty BBQ. We recommend the Ribs. The tri-tip was fun to try, but we prefer a more traditional brisket. Not the friendlies of employees and ordering can be hectic with lines forming on both sides of the counter/window; which is inconveniently located between the kitchen building and the building for the indoor seating. Also, the food is on the expensive side and served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and noticed that many locals were eating here too, typically a good thing in an extremely touristy area. If it was located in my home town and a little cheaper, I’d eat here regularly.

For VERY poor service & attitude. Ordered 3 trays & three drinks. Too much to carry to table by two person so we left it in front of the cashier. Returned to get my remaining drink & the cashier woman attitude is they don’t who took it and too bad it’s lost. It’s lousy $ 2.80 drink. Instead of just replacing the drink, they give attitude. They make huge improvement of attitude & service instead of being dirt cheap.

The tri-tip sandwich is AMAZING! I usually get it with a side of potato salad. Overall, the sides are rather small but the sandwich will fill you up. A lot of people choose a side of beans, but because they are too sweet for me I rather go with the potato salad. They have plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor, which is super convenient. Also, they do accept credit cards, but they have a sign near the register that says they rather you pay with cash.

There’s no buster cooking here, but chimichangas instead! Pretty pricey for a whole in the wall. I spent $ 50+ for lousy dry chicken served on paper plates and plastic forks! That’s how the get you I guess. Skip and try Sam’s Social instead where the food has some flavor and served in a nice environment Definitely not coming back

Super convenient dining. Indoor seating & outdoor seating. Paper towel dispensers to catch all that finger-lickin’ good sauce. Water coolers, restroom, parking. The perfect stop. I had the tri-tip sandwich and ribs. Pretty good deal, and good sides offered. Beers and Fetzer wines.

Great place for some delicious pulled pork and tri tip. The sides aren’t much to write home about but who cares? You came for the meat. The hot bbq sauce is no joke. Habanero! Order with caution. Super kid-friendly and a fun spot for a quick lunch.

Let me tell you something. This is the BBQ that your uncle Pete, Frank and Dave spend all day at the grill for the big family get-together. You know, the day where you eat three times as much as you should, the meat gets stuck in your teeth and the sauce is under your nails. But it’s okay because everyone else is doing the exact same thing! Buster’s is a trap! First you see the smoke. Then comes the aroma. That’s it. Your done! There’s no turning down Main Street to check out the other restaurants. Your nose has joined forces with your stomach and has already conspired against your brain. Next thing you know you’re in the parking lot salivating like you haven’t eaten in days. While the BBQ ribs were not fall off the bone tender as I have had at other places, the seasoning made allll the difference. I chewed every bit off that bone. Shh don’t mention anything to my dogs about the bones. The Tri-tip is sliced thin, tender and moist as it should be. Put it inside the warm buttered bread you get when you order the three-piece meal. Your plate comes loaded with your choice of meat and two sides. We went with the BBQ Ribs, Tri-Tip, Hot Links, potato salad and baked beans. Everything is delicious! Warning! If you get the hot BBQ sauce, expect your mouth to tingle. It is hot! The mild is just as good, if not better in my opinion. Its mild taste made it easy to douse on not only the meat, but the sides too. Plenty of seating inside and out. In fact, the back area is draped with overhead lighting which leads me to believe this spot is jumping on warm summer nights. I highly encourage you to make a stop here!

OMG!!! BBQHEAVENONEARTH! My husband and I were out and about on our road trip through wine country. We stopped at a winery where one of the servers told us about this amazing BBQ place we HAD to try. We are SO happy we found Buster’s and took his advice! We parked and walked up to order the BBQ Tri-Tip and BBQ Pulled Pork sandwiches with mild BBQ sauce. The server slapped on the heavenly meat and sauce(we didn’t try the HOTBBQ sauce but will next time) and brushed the toasted bread with garlic butter. We also got the potato salad. The line went fast! You get in and get out — they are fast and efficient! We sat down at a table towards the rear of the restaurant property where the outdoor seating is located. From where we sat we could see the huge outdoor BBQ and smell the amazing aromas! We started eating and just as we were told, the meats were tender and tasty. The potato salad was good, nothing amazing. When we are back wine tasting again, we WILL be stopping by Buster’s again and trying new meats — maybe the hot links and chicken! HIGHLY recommend!

I stop at Busters every time I pass trough Calistoga. You should be ashamed of yourself if you don’t do this as well. Seriously, I haven’t had such authentic BBQ as I find at busters. I’m a sucker for tri-tip so I can’t speak to the other meats, but I fully endorse the tri-tip meat and the sauces. One word of caution… the hot sauce is REALLY hot. The taste isn’t lost in the heat, but it will get your nose running. I now opt for a mix of the regular and the spicy sauce. I’ve never had room to try any deserts or the big sides. The plates are big and fill you up. I dare you to try this place out. If you’re nervous, message me and I’ll accompany you for your first visit. It’s that good… really.

A+ BBQ! Great Spot. This is a classic BBQ joint and their game is on point. I love reading reviews from people who probably have no business leaving them. In the rich area of Calistoga, the palates tend be more unrealistic. Unless you are serving up kale burgers, these folks just don’t understand what down home cookin is all about. We had the pulled pork and the hot links. The pulled pork was flavorful and piping hot. Melt in your mouth good. The hot link was just the right amount of spicy. The beans were good and the potato salad was also nice. We had no problem with the bread either. For roughly $ 10 a person, this place is a steal!!! Btw, the Home made lemon da was sweet but delicious! Keep it up Buster!

My husband LOVES bbq and complains that California doesn’t have the ‘good stuff’ like Texas. So. .. I try to find places that have high ratings to prove him wrong. We ordered the tri-tip and pulled pork sandwiches. They are very large portions, so you won’t go away hungry or feeling cheated by the price. It comes with a small side, which is kind of nice too. The tri-tip was really thickly cut and I had a hard time eating it. The sauce was quite flavorful, but overall I guess, I just didn’t love it. My coleslaw hardy had taste at all, which was weird. My husband finished it though for some greens. The pulled pork was tastier in my opinion and I stole a few bites from my husband. I have food envy though and usually if I don’t love mine, I just know someone else has the better option. His macaroni salad was better too. GREAT patio seating. Easy ordering service. Decent food.

It is very hard to resist meat, especially after wine tasting in Napa. I ordered a rack of beef ribs with a corn muffin, and it was amazing. Pros: –Full rack of beef means FULLRACK. None of those small bones with meager scraps of meat that you have to gnaw at –Mild BBQ sauce is tangy and is not overly sweet –Corn muffin. Not too dense, not too airy. Pairs well with meat! –There were enough leftovers to last me another meal(or two) Cons: –I prefer my ribs to be tender to the point where they fall off the bone. These ribs were slightly too tough in certain areas –I wish I asked for sauce on the side, because I also don’t like my ribs being drenched in sauce

3 beef ribs, 2 sides, garlic bread, and medium lemonade cost 15.60usd Line can be long on the weekends, even for a late lunch. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. If you sit outside, cars from the lot drive right by you and you’ll end up smelling like bbq. Food is excellent and worth the wait.
