they have the best veggie sandwich i have EVER had in my whole entire life, I would surpass a delicious smoked turkey sandwich from my favorite deli to eat this veggie sandwich from Cal Mart –and im not even vegetarian!!! They just add so many delicious veggies, even jalepenos– yum my fav! Everything put in it is so tasty no meat necessary! The only thing is that the last time I went they totally didn’t add all the veggies so i was kinda ehhh. also im not sure how yummy the meat sandwiches are but theyre probably just as good! Overall excellent! I’ll just have to ask for all of it next time. especially my spicy spice jalepenos. yikes! oops i mean yummy! LOL

Literally every time I check out with my items, no matter what cashier I go to they’re always rude, or either seems like they don’t want to be there. Especially the older ladies. Like I’m sorry I need things from the store. They need a class on customer service. Wish I could give no stars but oh well. not the place.

Calistoga is my home away from home. I take a trip there almost every other month, specifically to Calistoga Hot Springs for a day of relaxation. It’s become a tradition over the years to make a stop at Cal-Mart for lunch. It’s one of the only grocery stores in the city, but they pride themselves in being a community oriented market, and that’s why the locals love it. I may not be a local here, but I love it just as much. They serve up some of the best sandwiches in the area and have one of my all time favorite salad bars. My go-to is usually a turkey sammy on the dutch crunch with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and a salad on the side. The reason I love their salad bar so much is the variety. So many veggie options, pasta options and plenty of choices for dressing. My explanation doesn’t even do it justice. They also have mac and cheese, chicken and a full deli of all types of great food. Your options are unlimited. This spot is also a hidden gem for some of the best damn cheese I’ve ever had. Seriously. Usually it’s quality over quantity, but Cal-Mart has quanity and quality. I saw at least 35+ different types of cheese, and personally have tried a few. Awesome. Also chocolate. Don’t forget the chocolate. It’s incredible here. Basically, this place is a cheese and chocolate paradise. All in all, not only is Cal-Mart a great place to get a few small things for a day trip, but it’s a small, quiant, cozy neighborhood hub where you really feel welcome. Enjoy :)

Cal Market Is such a fun place in Calistoga! They offer a deli, a bakery(complete with pan dulce), and all the other grocery options one desires. We always find everything we need when we are visiting Calistoga. Cal Market is one of the few neighborhood markets left, and I’m glad to see that they have a steady business to maintain their livelihood.

Cute market in downtown Calistoga. Stopped by here to get a quick bite to eat. Looks like an Oliver’s but I don’t think the food quality matches Oliver’s… I ordered a sandwich. Opted for the seafood salad on a roll with avocado. The seafood salad was ok. The«avocado» was actually more like guacamole. Didn’t taste fresh. I also didn’t like their choice of bread. Not a very tasty sour roll(which shouldn’t happen since we have such great bread here in Northern Ca). Anyway, the sandwich was pretty bland. Not appetizing. Although I was super hungry, I ended up only eating half. Just enough to quell my hunger. Too bad the quality isn’t better because this market is located in a prime location. Oh well.

Yeah! Thanks Unilocal!Picked up a few items for a hike up Mt. St. Helena. Great prices! Picked up some fancy salts in the back left corner and Sonoma salad dressing for $ 4.00. Beats Dean & Deluca prices for similar items by a mile! Woo hoo! Love me a good deal!

Cal Mart is the last regular grocery on the way north up Highway 29. It tends towards the pricey, but they have an interesting and varied selection… they even have their salsa they make in-house. They have lots of local coffees, such as Thanksgiving from Sonoma County, Calistoga Roastery, along with an extensive coffee/hot bar. It’s a draw for people coming from the more rural parts of Napa, Sonoma&Lake counties. It’s a place to stock up on things. While I saw a woman slicing bread for samples helping herself to one, Cal Mart is mostly clean. Its exterior is rough, but inside, it’s hipster meets casual and fancy.

Great store with tons of options of wine and cheeses to choose from! A little on the pricey side but that’s expected in Napa Valley.

Great find in downtown Calistoga. We ordered sandwiches, pesto pasta salad, and picked up a few sundries for our picnic in the park. The sandwiches were incredibly fresh and delicious. The pesto pasta salad equally so. Will definitely go back here for picnic items for our next trip to Napa.

We love going to Calistoga for the sprint car races at least a couple of times a year and when we go we grab the ice chest, fill it with ice and hit Cal Mart. First the excellent sandwiches, always plentiful and fresh bread and meats, can’t go wrong when ordering one. Deli items, any salad or pastas you may crave, chicken, soups, the works. You name it, they have it including chili rellenos, enchiladas, tamales, burritos, samosas, paninis, stuffed baked potatoes, gourmet cheeses, etc. And if you need more, there’s always the store selections with a huge wine and beer department. Anything you need they’ll probably have it at Cal Mart! Fun just going there and looking around, so much to choose from.

This place is great and was perfectly located to the B&B we were staying at. This place had a great produce section as well as a great cheese and wine section that I would have a hard time finding in Alabama. I would definitely recommend this place to any visitors or residents alike.

The only grocery store in all of Calistoga… which is ok, because they are on par with price and variety. They have a great deli and hot food section — great for grabbing and going. Just be sure to get there by the early evening for hot foods. They tend to run out, then its slim pickings.

Cal Mart is a tiny, full service grocery store, the kind that they don’t make anymore. You can get your deli, produce, meat, and miscellaneous sundries all from here. There’s also a killer selection of high quality chocolate here. When your hotel charges $ 45 for the 375ml bottle of Maker’s Mark, Cal Mart comes to the rescue at a cost of $ 17. Can of Schweppes $ 4 at the hotel minibar? No problem, Cal Mart has that for less than $ 2. Midnight munchies, and room service is closed? Make a pre-emptive strike and stock the fridge with sandwiches and potato salad from Cal Mart. Seriously, don’t let the hotel gouge you to refill the minibar. Let Cal Mart save you a few bucks.

Yo, Yo, Yo! You staying in Callistoga to be Fancy? With your lady? And you don’t feel like spending money on another expensive meal? Cal Mart is going to be your savior. Seriously! They have a deli and sandwiches starting about $ 4.99 +. It will fill your girl up and tell her you’ll get her a nice dinner later. While you are in the grocery store you can pick up some fresh fruits, cheese, hot foods, wines, etc… This will help save your pocket book.

Love this cute little grocery store in downtown Calistoga! The salad bar is amazing and the make their own hummus! My favorite pasta salad they make is the bacon tomato and spinach. YUM! Everything you need you can find in CalMart from renting a video, to filling up water or your everyday grocery shopping! This is my go to lunch spot in the small town and I always find something new to try! Awesome clean store with a friendly helpful staff!

This grocery store would be amazing if only for its cheese selection. I mean, there’s frickin’ cow’s milk cheese with sea salt and honey. HONEY. Not to mention Clover milk, an array of local beers and wines, and more boutique chocolate than you could eat in a month. Plus, there’s a decent deli and salad bar inside, with huge sandwiches on squishy sourdough for less than ten bucks.

While driving and checking out wineries and sightseeing, we were taking the Silverado Trail back road up to Calistoga before turning around and coming back down State Route 29 completing the«loop.» Now I had never been to Calistoga and the extent of my knowledge of it was that it was famous for bottled water and spas. Well let me tell you, it’s a sleepy little town where the coffee shop can choose to close up in the middle of the day if it wants to; all of the businesses there know that you’re something of a captive tourist just passing through. Here is one spot in town that is like an oasis if you’re just looking for a quick takeout bite, or some water or other drinks… Besides being a regular full service grocery market, they have a decent selection of: hot foods; salads; sandwiches; for a weary traveler that is not interested in paying captive prices at some local business along Lincoln Ave.; particularly if you’re just looking for some refreshments like we were(i.e. bottled water…) I should also mention that I saw a fairly extensive selection of cheeses too which is nice , as well as a dessert section… Cal Mart can be a lifesaver of sorts like it was for us when passing through Calistoga…
