Enoteca Wine Shop

This is an amazing wine shop offering local and imported wines to drink now for dinner as well as to save. Working on the set of a movie… Japanese version of «Sideways» we shot a few days in the quaint town of Calistoga. We spent a whole day shooting a scene inside Enoteca wine and Margaux the owner was very gracious and patient as we turned her life upside down! The shop is very long and features little «tasting cards» telling you about each wine. In the far back there are some of the more expensive wines as well. Margaux even dabbles in wine making and features a few of her own labels in the shop. Bottom line she has many great wines that you probably have not tasted that are still local. She still proudly displays «behind the scenes» shots from the movie as well as the Japanese movie poster. Come on in and you will see me on a picture behind the counter… I’m carrying the huge bag and my 35 mm Camera!

I was a little worried when we first walked in — I got a snooty vibe — like we had set off some secret «faux connoisseur» alarm when we crossed the threshold.
We poked around, looking for one of the «also sold chilled» options to take and enjoy poolside. We picked two bottles of pink bubbly (yes. We’re girls, and it was spa day.) and asked for some help. It got way better from there, and the not so friendly vibe melted away.
A great selection of price points and varietals abound here, and I have a feeling the proprietress would be able to help you find the exact right thing.

I sell wine in St. Helena (and have done so for over 20 years) and as a Napa Valley Wine person crave something different. Enoteca has a wide variety of interesting wines both domestic and local and a wide price range; something for everyone.
I’ve been buying wine from Enoteca for years because, unlike other Napa Valley wine shops and grocery stores, the owner keeps the place cool to cold; in other words her wines are sold at serving temperature and aren’t getting cooked in the wine shop. Nothing worse than buying a wine, taking it home, and it tastes cooked.

Great wine shop! Came in after a walk down Lincoln looking for a place to buy wine. The woman who owns the store was so helpful and extremely nice. Just wandering the store is a neat experience with all the wine and champagne that they have. We left with two bottles and am very pleased! They have wines at every price point!

Awesome selection of boutique wines at awesome prices. Marguerite Singleton is simply awesome. The building is really charming, too.

Enoteca is a breath of fresh air in «Napa». Get away from your over-​the-​top, opulent, over-​done, over-​oaked cabernet sauvignon & chardonnay and pick up something still local, but definitely more interesting from this great wine shop. She carried many wines that I know and love in addition to many that I have never seen but am very anxious to try. Really an excellent selection of natural wines.
She also has tasting notes and any information available on most of the wines, hanging on front of the racks for you to read. I will definitely come back next time I am in the area.

We wandered into this cute little wine shop looking for Peju, but the owner informed me she didn’t have it. She also thought they may be restaurant direct (which i do think is the case), but nonetheless, was super helpful by calling the other wine store up the street to see if they carried it. She also checked with them, as per our request, if they did tastings. They did, but we would have to hurry before they closed and we decided against it.
Since she was so helpful in that way, we decided to purchase a few bottles from her. She gave us two great recommendations within our price range and we were very satisfied with the one we’ve had so far, and I’m pretty sure the other will also be to our liking.
She was super knowledgeable about all her wines, which is standard, but I was very impressed with her willingness to help us find our wine even if it meant we might purchase from another store.
