Sign said open till 4:30 but they close early. The woman who was working was rude and had a dog behind the bar. I’m all for dogs but above the glasses? We didn’t get to taste the wine but with the experience we had I wouldn’t go back.

We’ve been wine tasting and spa hopping in Calistoga more times than I can count. I don’t know how we happened to miss Envy! I purchased a priority wine pass and thankfully Envy was one of the wineries on the list. It is a few miles away from the main tourist area. What a precious gem. For our anniversary, I arranged for the hubby and I to do some wine tasting before our late afternoon spa treatments. Another wine pass member suggested to call and reserve a space, as they usually get busy. Done! Envy was the second stop on our list. The wines were fabulous. Generous pours. The staff was super knowledgeable and pleasant. We talked as if we were old friends. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner. We bought a delicious Sauvignon blanc, the Bebe’s Blend and the desert wine. I can’t wait to go back with friends.

What a great little winery! Friendly staff and wines are great, especially the sav blanc and the cabernet. I prefer boutique wineries versus chain ones and this one didn’t disappoint. Will definitely come back!

We love Envy! The people there are great and the wines are excellent. We visited there last Friday and had a great experience just sipping and talking with the two ladies at the bar. Bee Bees blend and the Petite Syrah will keep us coming back for years to come. Keep making great small batch wine!

They are so nice and it’s such a cute little place! There are piglets on the property right now and they are adorable! Their reds and whites are divine. I recommend making an appointment since it is a little place and they do get crowded :)

Envy’s in a nice location two miles from downtown Calistoga, where suburban tracts give way to grape fields. It feels like it’s off the beaten path without being too remote. Inside, the tasting room is very modern. Service was spotty during our visit. Although there were only 6 guests in the building, including us, the 2 staffers seemed not quite able to keep up. One spent most of her time talking about how awesome her life is. At $ 20 the tasting fee seemed excessive, though I guess that’s par for Napa Valley now. Steep prices made it hard to justify buying more than 1 bottle.

Mark was such an amazing host. We happened into this winery after passing by on our way to another one. I’m so glad we stopped. Maybe the best Sauvignon blanc and Cabernet we’ve tried so far in Napa valley. I highly recommend coming in for a taste! We purchased 2 bottles of Sauvignon blanc and 1 bottle of petite sirah. Delicious!
