Ultra Foods

It was my first time here but I stopped by to pick up food for a cookout. The first place I went to was the seafood. There was this condescending annoying customer before me and I think the butchers handled it well. Then, I was next. They had great sales and I chose $ 3.99/lb for a whole catfish. They will chop up the fish for you but I wanted it whole, so I can put it on the grill.
Afterwards, I went to the bakery and picked up so many things. I got some mini red velvet cupcakes, pistachio cookies, and half of a chocolate cake. They were all really good. My favorite were those pistachio cookies. I ate three of those things and I didn’t stop there. I ate two mini cupcakes. Their bakery is great. Whatever they are doing, keep it up!

Ultra is great. But not this one. Everything about this place is unprofessional including management. You don’t get the same shopping experience or quality of food that you get at the Crestwood store. This is pricey compared to other Ultras and it does not have the same clean feel. There are also bouncers at the front when you walk in so that should tell you something.

Great place to shop at when you are in the area.
Ultra foods always seems to have what i am looking for, from fresh produce to baked goods to hard to find hispanic products.
Prices are very competetive with other discount grocers in the area, sometimes even cheaper.
Customer service has been pretty good, nothing too special but good enough to keep me coming back. Stay away from this place around the first of the month, it gets very crowded here.
Bonus: Ultra has a hot food department and they offer some very tasty/​reasonably priced deals. They have good fried chicken and some of the best tasting macaroni and cheese & Mashed potatoes offered at a grocery store!
