Front desk lady was awesome! My friend is a smoker and they still offered smoking vs non smoking rooms. We had the pool all to ourselves. Room was cozy and had a mini fridge with a microwave!

Eww. So gross! There was a weird bug, either a millipede or a centipede crawling on the floor, and it was HUGE!!! We weren’t told that the room we booked had one of those weird family doors to the room next door, and we had to push the refrigerator up against it because there were people staying in it and that was creepy. The shower flooded the bathroom floor and I don’t know why. The toilet wouldn’t flush on the first try every time. The toiletries they provided weren’t very good quality. There isn’t a good variety of restaurants near the hotel. The hotel only has an outdoor pool which is only good in the summer not an amenity during the rest of the year. The breakfast time was inconvenient so I never got to try it. The desk lady was super sweet though!

The good: 1.) Easy ingress/egress 2.) Rooms are large 3.) Reasonably clean 4.) Decent value 5.) Easy to find right off Freeway 6.) Not a pool use but agree with other reviewer – it was better than average. Would be good for kids. 7.) Inside hall room access 8.) Beds better than average The bad: 1.) The breakfast was below par for inexpensive hotels – raisin bran, juice, biscuits and gravy, oranges, red apples, low quality yoghurt. Luckily I had my own tea and granola. 2.) Staff was smoking on the bench right by the front door and talking negatively about a guest who had just checked out as i returned from my morning jog. That was really disgusting on both fronts. If you’re passing through, it looks like a better option than the Days Inn. Wished I would have stopped at Paducah. I was too tired to get to Clarksville.

Simply a GREAT hotel at a GREAT value! This Super 8 is the first I’ve stayed in. It was a hotel(inside access) with a center hall Colonial stairway. It is two levels and all handicapped-accessible rooms are on the ground floor. There IS handicapped parking. The hotel has a fabulous pool and pool area with tables/umbrellas and chaises. There is also a winch/seat provided for handicapped individuals who wish to get in the pool. Also provided are picnic benches with BBQ grills! The staff was VERY accommodating and the rooms are SUPER clean and well-appointed. Breakfast(included) was very good with lots of choices. All in all a terrific value! Just make sure you call the Hotel Manager, Doug McClanahan, directly at(270)-395−5566 to make your reservation. He will not only give you the lowest rate, he will take great care of you!

We stayed at this Motel for 3 days while at a convention in Paducah, Kentucky. I have stayed at several Super 8’s in the past but was very disappointed in the one in Calvert City. For the most part the employees were friendly and helpful and the room was acceptable. Big problem… the motel is not handicap friendly. no elevator, no handicap parking near the front entrance(even though one of the employees did park right at the front door every day). There were several elderly people that were forced to walk quit a distance from their cars and then climb a flight a stairs to their room. I really don’t think I’ll be back.
