Cute little tea room. Great place for a date. Large selection of teas available, some tasty looking desserts, nice employees. Better option than Starbucks.

I’ve visited many tea rooms throughout America and England. Comparatively, this shop is expensive for what you get. Also, as others have stated, the lack of variety with the finger sandwiches is surprising as that’s standard fare at other tea shops. Another pet peeve: the use of «high tea» to describe afternoon tea. As a tea shop named«All Things Tea» they should know better. For those who don’t know but are interested, «afternoon tea» or «low tea» is the fancy tea with finger sandwiches and scones you’ll find at most shops. «High tea» always involves a hot item and is more like a full meal. Although Americans tend to like saying«high tea» better for some reason, high tea was actually the term to describe the working class dinner. Here is a link to more about the difference(which can also be found with a quick Google search, which the owner clearly didn’t bother to do despite it being a significant distinction): Some tea shops do offer a true«high tea» with heated items included in the fare. This shop doesn’t, despite the fact that the menu says«high tea» and the fact the price for their«high tea» is about what you would get at other shops for a real high tea that includes heartier fare with hot items in addition to the finger sandwiches and treats.

I was excited to find this tea shop in Camarillo. I’m a big fan of going for tea and the experience really is what it is all about. The service was lovely and the space is intimate, but I wish there had been more variety available. For the price(I believe it was $ 35) you get 1 sandwich choice, 1 scone choice, and 1 dessert choice plus a tea to split with another(who also gets each of those choices). It’s always been my experience that you get a couple of sandwiches and a few different scones with tea. It felt pretty bare-bones for the price. That being said, everything tasted great and my friend and I enjoyed our time, I just really feel that the establishment could stand to kick the menu up a notch by having more variety being served rather than making customers only choosing one of each category.

I am delighted to drink the delicious tea! When I go for tea, I want a selection of many teas. All Things Tea has a huge selection. I am not a tea expert, but a student of tea. I need someone who can guide me through my journey and represent the various teas with authority. All Things Tea delivers. I also ordered a turkey bacon quiche. It was made the way I like it, by humans. Have you ever had a quiche that was store bought that you nuke? This quiche was clearly home made. I detected a nice flavor to the crust, the flavors of the egg and turkey bacon were on point. The shopping center here also had close parking, and the All Things Tea shop was prominently signed and easy to find. The interior was nicely decorated. It has a feel that only a caring owner can provide. I will be back to buy some tea and tea related items. For today, I just wanted to come by and see if this was a place I could come to for my tea needs. The places in the mall don’t do it for me. I’m not knowledgable enough to buy tea online. All Things Tea is for me!

To donna… I hadn’t seen your response until now. I appreciate it but yes, you were very rude. I was not acknowledged and maybe the attitude was not intentional… I didn’t think it was, which is why I said that maybe you were offended about my comment. I was simply referring to the way the tins were displayed and tea was sold. I saw you being very very nice to the caucasian man as well as the two that walked in after, maybe tan skin isn’t your cup of tea… Kindly When a company tries so hard to prove themselves and cannot even apologize for being disrespectful… Makes you wonder. You didn’t act that way with me and I stand by my opinion and review. Good luck to you.

Outstanding. Roasted vegetable and goat cheese salad, prosciutto and brie on crustinis, tuna curry spring roll… all amazing. And the petite sweets — wow. The flourless chocolate cake and lavender lemon bar, bread pudding and pumpkin spice crème brûlée… the textures and flavors were incredible. And the staff is so very friendly. We’ll be back!

Charming tearoom! I like it’s intimacy, quiet and being less froufrou. Manager, Donna, is extremely knowledgable of the large variety of teas, efficient and pleasant. The baker is quite skilled & there’s usually a perfect assortment of choices.

Best tea selection! My husband bought me a variety of teas for Valentine’s Day and I am now hooked. We always try something new each visit and everything I’ve tried has been delicious.

My new favorite place for afternoon tea or lunch. The quiche is the best that I have ever had-soufflé like and perfect with their savory scone. I have already been back twice this week! Donna is extremely knowledgable about her large tea selection-her passion shines through. They also have a large selection of gluten free options for those who are interested. I’ll be back again soon!

They really know their tea and they have a very wide variety of flavors. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to try so I asked the server(cute asian girl) what her favorite was and what she recommends and even explained each flavor. She was very helpful and patient.

What a lovely tea room. It’s small but so sweet and I have to say the food was so wonderful! I will come back again. The salmon sandwich and apricot scone were my favorite! And the Darjeeling tea just delicious!!!

All Things Tea is a great place to enjoy a few hours and have some delicious scones, sandwiches, and of course, tea. Donna is very knowledgable in every type of tea and the afternoon tea goodies are all made from scratch & made to order. I have come here for tea only, for a birthday tea party, and tea for two with my mom. We absolutely love it and can’t wait to make it a regular outing!

Whenever I feel like giving myself a treat I get my tea fix at All Things Tea. I am always amazed by how much I dont know. The owner will tell you everything you need to know bout that special tea you are looking for and jus like anything, a cup of tea is not just a regular ol’ cup of tea once you get into the details. An boy are there a lot of things to know about tea. Their selection is amazing and I love to come here and sip my tea. I have not had anything else here so I cannot comment on that. Usually am just here, enjoying my rooibos chai tea with a dash of milk and surfing the web. Perfectly relaxing morning.

Ahhh. I get it. You people have fantasy, bullshit and reality all mixed up into one. You’re confused. You’re primitive. You’re uncouth. Because if you truly believe your horrible attitudes towards customers are going to get you very far in the«tea business»(cause clearly you don’t know much about tea, but I will rob your self esteem regarding that later), then you are sorely mistaken. Your job is none other than to check your attitude at the door, and when the customer walks into your business, pretend that they are the best damn thing that ever happened to you. Use your acting skills and go for the Oscar. To the blonde chick who met EVERYQUESTION I asked with extreme curt rudeness, you are bad for business. What were you looking for? An argument? For me to snap back at you? What? I asked everything with excitement and a sincere smile on my face because we had this shit bookmarked and arranged our day to come from Los Angeles to Camarillo just for YOUR place. Your one word answers helped nothing. I had to pry info out of you. Clearly I was wasting your time. Clearly you didn’t want to explain. Then, Unilocal, she asks farrrrrrrr from behind their counter(practically on the opposite side of the store) what kind of tea we wanted to drink and if we’ve made our decision. No other tea room would be caught dead doing that. Ummm… that was uncivilized. Take notes from Tranquility Tea Room in Thousand Oaks, please. It’s painfully obvious that you need lessons and they are the closest proper tea room near you. Plus you know how afternoon tea places give you a variety of tea sandwiches with your afternoon tea? Not this place. For $ 30 they cut up the same sandwich. Yes. You heard me right. These chicks need to go to afternoon tea school. That is not afternoon tea or high tea, yall. That’s a deli. Please change the wording on the menu. Or change your name to «All Things Deli». What you have is comical, and quite frankly, misleading to the public. You should just scratch the entire food menu and serve the abundant tea you have on the wall… cause the other stuff you’re doing is embarrassing. I’m blown away by the lack of respect and education here. Unilocalers… pay attention to the one star reviews. They’ve nailed it. Avoid this uncivilized establishment. (Sam L… I owe you money for the gas we wasted.)

I rarely, if ever, walk out of a restaurant — I have to be thoroughly disgusted or just severely put off by a place — sadly, this happened at this tea room. My friend and I have had this place bookmarked forever and ever and I had a friend who used to live nearby. I always wanted to stop in but I just never have. Since it was my friend’s birthday and we love high tea, we decided to try this tea room for her birthday! It was completely empty inside when we got there — and I should have known that was a bad sign. There was a heavy set blonde young woman at the front of the restaurant — who asked us what we wanted. Didn’t welcome us or anything. She just shoved a tea menu in our faces. When my friend, the birthday girl, mentioned a high tea menu she begrudgingly pointed out another paper menu. We looked at the menu and my friend had a couple questions — mostly about the sandwiches. We have high tea quite a bit — and have been to all the tea houses in Woodland Hills/LA/Pasadena — but this was something new. Apparently, their«tea sandwiches» are only one sandwich(or one and half — and even with that additional half — she didn’t want to make it a different sandwich) that they make in the back and cut into 4 pieces. I mean, I can go to Sprouts and get some egg salad and make a sandwich myself. But the worst part, the woman had such a TERRIBLE attitude, especially to my friend which I took even more offense to! I don’t know if she was racist or what, but she was just nasty! I mean just god awful! She made it seem like it was such a chore to make one sandwich. I’ve never heard of such a thing! And for the same prices as the lovelier high tea places for one lousy sandwich that I need an attitude for her to make. I don’t think so. Let me give you some advice from someone who«teas», when I go have high tea, I want an experience! I don’t want a surly woman who doesn’t want to make food. I don’t want to have an attitude for asking a question. I don’t want one sandwich that I could make at home — cut into quarters. That’s not an experience and is definitely not worth the same price as other tea houses — maybe if this was someone looking for a cheap tea that would be okay — but it’s just not acceptable for anyone else!

I was in the area looking for a cute spot to park my laptop when I found this place. I was wearing all pink and floral print(as I am wont to do) and when I walked in, I could almost hear the décor say«Girl, we’re wearing the same outfit! Twinsies!» Erin was adorable behind the counter and she knew her tea! Yes, she let me smell the tea before deciding on a tropical iced tea with agave sweetener. She put pink dried rose petals in it and totally made my day delightful. Yes, she let me sample the baked goods(that they bake on site without the extra additives/preservatives) «Take two!» She said. I bought a chai cupcake which was served on a delicate flower plate. It was fresh and moist and did not disappoint. I said yes to Erin and I say yes to All Things Tea. If you like your fine tea and sweets in a tranquil cottage atmosphere, this will be a yes for you too.

Stopping by on the way to LA from SF, and found this shop using Unilocal as a nice place to stop by for some afternoon snacks and tea. My wife and I had always been curious about afternoon tea and we tried it for the first time here! We tried the Tea for Two, which included a sandwich each(cucumber and egg salad were our choice), a choice of petit sweet(flourless chocolate cake and lemon cheesecake) and a freshly warmed scone each, served with a compliment of fruits and lemon curd. Finally, we got a pot of the Green Jasmine tea, which had great flavor. Our entire experience was wonderful and would recommend anyone else to try this out. While we were there, another couple stopped by to shop for tea and it was apparent that Donna, the owner, knows her tea very well.

I thought this place was funny. Firstly, everyone seemed a tad on edge. If you’ve ever caught someone doing something they weren’t supposed to be doing, they usually have this weird energy about them… And that’s what I encountered with the staff here. I’m pretty sure I didn’t catch them doing anything, though, so I’m not sure why this was. This is by no means an insult, either. I just thought it was something kind of interesting to note. Something that did kind of put a damper on my visit was the fact that it was a moderately chilly day, and they left the doors open. It felt just like we were sitting outside, and that made it kind of hard for me to enjoy myself at first. My fiancé suggested that we ask them if we could close the door, but I figured they had it open for a reason. Turns out, no… They ended up asking me if it was too cold a little later, and then they shut it for me. So, me being cold for the first 20 minutes was my fault. As is usually the case. The lesson here is that you should always ask for what you want in life, because maybe you’ll get it. Otherwise, you’ll just stay cold. As far as the menu goes, I was really surprised to see that they didn’t have a cucumber sandwich. I really thought that cucumber sandwiches and afternoon tea were kind of, like, in it for the long haul. Together ’til the end. Best buds forever… Or something. I don’t know that I was disappointed, but I was certainly thrown for a loop. This meant that I was very certainly outside of my comfort zone, and I actually had to think about what I wanted. There was nothing that really suited my diet, but my server and the person making my food accommodated me in every way they possibly could have, and the result was a very interesting and fun sandwich. I appreciated this a lot, because some places won’t even swap one sandwich out for another in a tea service… This place just plain made one up for me. 10 points to Gryffindor. Wow, I sure hope Harry Potter references are still relevant. Anyway, I liked this place all right, but it wasn’t my favorite. My favorite happens to be a person, in fact, so unfortunately All Things Tea couldn’t even really compete. In any case, the food was just okay(expensive for what you get, though), and the tea was actually rather delightful. I ended up buying a couple different types for home. The girl behind the counter was really friendly and helped me in my decision making process. I said process because that makes it sound more complicated that what I actually do, which is stare at the labels and try to imagine what they’d smell like. She let me smell them, so it rendered my «process» pretty useless. Oh yeah, when I asked the server if they pre made their sandwiches she responded with a sincere«heavens no!» I thought that was the best. I will certainly be checking back in to this place again.

I used to tell all my friends how I loved this place, and come whenever we were I’m the area. That has all changed in one visit. From the start to the finish, the owner was unbelievably rude to our group and made us feel so uncomfortable. She had a more lucrative group there I guess that she chose to impress and treat us like peasants. We will never return and will make sure to spread the word of the poor customer treatment. The tea selection is good, the food is ok but over priced for what you get, and the staff is great. The owner, however, is an uptight, anxious, rude lady. If you don’t mind being treated like pond scum then have a visit.
